Pikachu is finally confirmed to be male, how do you feel?

In the newest episode with an evil Togepi, the writers finally confirmed in-show that Pikachu (as well as Piplup) are male.

Although I always thought Pikachu was male since way back in Kanto in 1998, some people used to insist it was female.

So how do you feel?

Because other than "Heh, I guess I was right," that's pretty much how I feel.

It was obvious that Pikachu's male...Dunno why there were any doubts 'bout that

I always figured it was male if only because Japan is sexist and would never have given the male star of the series a female mascot Pokemon.

How did they confirm it?

The Togepi in the newest ep was a female, it used attract on Pikachu/Piplup/Meowth/Croagunk and Yanmega. The first four fell in love with it, while Yanmega didn't.

Jessie is then shocked to find out Yanmega was female, and I believe Brock says the other 4 Pokemon were male.
 
This escaped my radar, even though I saw the pics not too long ago. This is pretty doggone definitive, but I promise you, the diehards will never relent.
 
ive always thought of piplup as female. oh well your not always right...

In which case I have no problem calling them morons, when the original Japanese confirms that Pikachu is male due to an attract, and even the characters say Pikachu is male. There is no no, NO way anyone can counter, anything is B.S. and only has it's place in Fan Fic.

Pikachu is confirmed to be male, period.
 
This is just one of those "Oh yeah? That's cool" moments for me. It was kinda fun to speculate, but the answer was pretty obvious, I suppose.
 
I kinda thought Pikachu was one but Piplup I always thought was female.
 
I thought Pikachu was male since the day I first watched the show. This isn't big news.
 
Pikachu is confirmed to be Male; no more speculating on its gender.

Meowth and Croagunk are also confirmed to be Male as well, but I guess with the fact Meowth talks and Croagunk fell in love with Catherine... Eh, I mean Croagunk, that was already settled.
 
I knew Pikachu was a male ever since the first episode. He's always referred to as "buddy" (something girls don't usually call eachother) by Ash. Plus, Buneary's crush on him and the gender differences made it that much more obvious...

By the way, isn't Dawn's Pachirisu confirmed to be a Male too, based off of a recent episode battling against Johanna's Pokemon?
