Hey guys, maybe you can help me out here. There's a new guide up at Pokemopolis for this episode, and yet everywhere I look (Serebii, Wikipedia, Bulbapedia) there is no mention of this episode. Apparently none of us ever got to see it outside of New Zealand.

Anyone have any clue what the deal is? Have any of you actually seen this episode?

An Ashachu episode actually exists?!?

My first reaction is to be sceptacle but I can't doubt those screenshots.

Actually I think I have seen this in German recently (as part of a rerun of old episodes) I am pretty sure that I remember seeing something about Ash being turned into a Pikachu.

Tim (who writes the guides) stated on the forums that he wouldn't have gone through all the trouble just to dupe us like that.

I'm just weirded out that apparently no one outside of New Zealand has actually heard of this episode's existance.

At first I thought that he was referring to the next episode (As Clear as Crystal), and that it somehow aired under a different name for some reason, until I actually read through the guide, then I realized that this was indeed a complete different episode.

Strange indeed.

Also I know Maddie hangs out here, maybe she can shed some light on this?

No no, that's the episode BEFORE the one I'm talking about.

The episode I'm referring to is the one where Ash stays transformed into a Pikachu for the entire duration.

The one before it is Hocus Pokemon (the one you posted), where he's first changed into a Pikachu, and the one after it is As Clear as Crystal, where Ash goes back to normal.

The one I'm talking about takes place between those two.

Ash turns into a Pikachu at the end of Hocus Pokémon and back at the start of As Clear as Crystal. This is apparently an episode in the middle of the two.

Which raises the question of why it wasn't heard of until now. The shortness of time as a Pikachu has been commented on many times and even hopes for a flashback hoso to that time hasn't led to a mention of this episode.

Oh, I see. Should have taken a closer look. :\

Ash turned into a Pikachu near the end of the episode "Hocus Pokémon". The episode that came afterwards is "As Clear As Crystal" where the magic wore off and Ash went back to normal at in the first few minutes.

The guide for Japanese versions:
Hocus Pokémon: http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/pokemon/tue/koremade/246.html
As Clear As Crystal: http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/pokemon/tue/koremade/247.html

Babelfish translation is a mess, but it roughly tells the story of both eps. If you take a look on the date. They are 7 days in between.

Tim is the ultimate master of fooling.

I say you've been had. The screenshots are obviously fake, I mean come on!
..
Unless this thread in itself is a prankster to which I feel very very silly :<

Yeah but why would he go through all the trouble?

I thought it was a joke at first too, but why would he go through all that effort? He would've had to write a fake storyline, fake dialogue, etc.

Also when Tim does something as a gag he usually makes it obvious that it is in fact a gag.

All the 'fake' stuff is either in the International Editions section or done on April Fool's Day.

So I think this is legit.

I know, which means there IS no episode between "Hocus Pokémon" and "As Clear As Crystal".

And, it's Pokemopolis. And their full of BS (in a good way though)

I know it does, and yeah that screenshot looks sorta fake. But again, it seems like he would have gone through an awful amount of trouble to conceive this if it is indeed fake.

It just doesn't strike me as logical that Tim would take the time to write a fake episode guide when he's still trying to race through writing the ones for Johto and catching up with the rest of Hoenn.

Although, Pokemopolis simply rocks once again, and this proves it.

Oh booooooooooooooooooy....I can imagine the trouble this will cause on the "other" world when people see this and believe it...... :/

Hahaha. It wouldn't be good that's for sure. Maybe I should start a topic over there just to see the reactions. :-D

Yeah and if this is in fact a ruse....it sure was a good one, and it had me going.

Then again, most people "there" thought the picture of May, Harley, and Perap girl on Pokesho was real, and a May Spinoff was coming....0.o

And the Legend of Thunder sequal poster before it...
