Platinum GTS & Wi-fi issue connecting

So I've been trying to figure out what is wrong with my games in Pokemon Pearl & Platinum...

So every single time I try to enter the GTS or any other room to like play games or what not, I can't get pass the connection screen.

I've been looking online to see what is wrong exactly, but I have no luck in finding the solution.

Some places say it's my router that my channel is wrong or what not... So I changed it and I still have an issue connecting still...

I got a Dynex Enhanced-G Wireless Broadband Router
The Model: DX-WEGRTR

I really want to fix this issue...it's been going on for a year...

I got else where it works perfectly fine, but when I get home, that's where I have an issue

hmmmm, is your server protected by WPA or WEP? You should go check that, WEP is the only accepted privacy setting so that you can go online. Unfortunately, WEP has some weaknesses that WPA doesn't, and Nintendo doesn't plan on upgrading.

Yeah it's password protected, but I have registered the name and passcode in to my game already. But it still wouldn't let me go in...I could go trade and battle my friends perfectly fine, but other than that I can't do.

So what should I do?
