Customers who pre-order Pokémon Platinum beginning Sunday will receive a free 2.75-inch Giratina figure made by Kaiyodo, Nintendo of America has announced.

Funny, I checked both Canadian and US retail websites, and it seems as though it's 34.99 in local currency.

Well, I've got a preorder in at the nearest ToysRUs; I got the guy working videogames to inquire to management on my behalf, and I was told they would indeed have the figurine available upon pickup of the game, so I dropped my $5.
Went to a nearby Target afterward; while they've got Giratina-themed cards standing as preorder slips, I couldn't get anyone summoned to electronics (after pushing the call button twice) to ask after the figurine....Prime's trying to decide if he wants a life, or if he wants to spend the rest of his days filling the foreign 'dex entries as well as the GTS globe. (He knows he'll try if he gets his own copy; he's soooo close to completing the limited entires to do on his copy of Diamond, and he's got a pretty impressive number of spots on the GTS globe...but this will break his brain. Completism is a mental disorder.....)
