Platinum save problems

So when I played Platinum, it took me WAY longer to save than on DP. Like, a normal save would take as long as if I'd done anything with the box and saved on DP, and a box save would take almost twice as long as that.

Is there any way to fix this? At all? Because I know not everyone has this problem, but a lot of people do. What causes it?

Idk I think it's the more Pokemon and crap you've done in the game that adds to the memory. That's the only thing I can see why it would do that, but D/P/Pt are so far the only games who save a lot of memory so long saving time is expected.

I haven't even gotten through Eterna. I have maybe 20 pokemon, and two badges.

I get that too, every time I move Pokemon around in the PC. Sometimes it takes up to a minute to save, I just assume it's normal for Plat.

Eh, it's normal.
I once just did a Wi-Fi battle, got one egg, hatched it, went to Battle Frontier and then it took forever to save.

my platinum save time is as long as my diamond one (if I remember correctly). Maybe it's in the US version only?

For my Platinum, sometimes it just says 'Saving... don't turn off the power' and that only takes a few seconds, as long as any other Pokemon save time. However, at other times, and I can't seem to determine exactly what causes it either, it will say 'Saving a lot of data... don't turn off the power' and then proceed to take quite a while to save.

Not an answer as to why, but just saying I have save issues too at times.

It's normal. Platinum takes longer to save than D/P in general, but the games save "a lot of data" whenever you withdraw/deposit/move Pokemon in your PC.

When my Platinum game is 'Saving a lot of data...', it takes about ten cycles of the little clock symbol on the bottom right for it to finish saving. Counting the clock revolutions makes the wait seem to go by a little faster, for me.

The saving time doesn't bother me too much. It can just be a little annoying at times, especially when I'm in a hurry to shut off my game.

I know it takes longer when you do anything with your PC, but I mean this takes WAAAAAAY longer than DP did and I want to know why and how to fix it, because I know it doesn't happen to everyone.
