Howdy all. What does everyone think of playing the Gen 3 pokemon games. Is it worthwile? Or should my efforts be better spent elsewhere. I have almost all the gen 3 games exluding Pokemon X D and I have a copy of diamond along with my platinum. I need to get another Battle Revolution, stupid economy. But I digress so what does everyone think?

Considering you have them already, you might as well play them at least once to get the Pokemon out of them you want.

Thankfully you can transfer over everything to the 4th gen so your hard work will continue to the current games.

You have the third generation games and you need our validation to start playing them?

Play them! Despite what people like to say, the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games are excellent games to a high degree, way more than RBY/GSC will ever be. If you like to be bold and try new things, especially for game with a different feel, I'd definitely recommend them.

They're all fun, so I say play it. I like Emerald the most of the three because of the Battle Frontier (Lucy <333) but they're fun to play and you can transfer your pokemon over :)

yeah, play them. R/S are my favourite main games, so... (and then more specifically sapphire, for the catchy drizzle music)

I play them just for the sake of transferring Pokèmon to Platinum. Apart from that I never really cared for the third gen that much.

I originally got them for that but it takes me about 60 or so hours to run through and get all 8 badges and to beat the elite four. So five games at 60 hours was what was wracking my mind but I do enjoy the pure simplicity of having a handful of really low level pokemon. It is like being an innocent kid agian.

The third generation is my prefered.Emerald is the best, because of the rayquaza plot and the battle frontier.

no one can really tell you if you'll like a game, but I can say that I certainly liked R/S/E. I haven't played FR/LG, though, because Kanto bores me but I might someday.

If you own them, then why is this even a question? If you don't like them and you don't want to waste 60 more hours (not sure why it takes you that long, but I won't judge), then just sell them.

They're great. The Hoenn starters have always been my highest levels and most used (along with Latios). Plus check out the cloning glitch for Emerald... They are so useful. Plus they are fun. I you have any little brothers (or sisters) let them have there own save file and then if they are like tattle-tailing or whatever remind them that you own it and can ban them from it whenever. They usually stop if they are young.

Are they worth playing?
If you have them, play them.
If you don't, I suggest buying one.

Of course you should play them. R/S/E are my favorite Pokemon games of all time. ^^

Yes, get them all.

I love every single one of the titles in the 3rd Gen. RSE are refreshing and have great gameplay. FRLG is pretty nice and Colo-XD are unique IMO.
