Looking for someone to confirm this for me. A Nintendo rep (most likely just a temp hired from an events company though) confessed to me earlier this week that he'd tried playing around with his assigned Wii a bit, and discovered that he was able to use a freeloader disc to play import Gamecube games from the USA on the console.

Assuming that he wasn't jerking me around, I've still no idea yet if this kind of thing will work for Wii titles, but if it does...I'd imagine whoever makes it will be giving themselves a license to print money.

Ah, I think it's safe to assume that the GameCube emulator in the Wii will also emulate the flaws of the GameCube, hence, would also work with the Freeloader disc. I mean, in all the years it's been available they don't seem to have gotten around to fixing it - perhaps it isn't fixable.

I don't think it necessarily implies anything about the Wii system, however.

I'm wondering, my AR has a freeloaded function, can you use a Gamecube AR on the Wii?
