.....although this team hasn't happened yet and i haven't decided the moves yet.....please evaluate.....

Volcarona
Hydregion
cobalion

.......and a legendary team.....

Palkia

......I am figuring out which legendary would go best with Palkia(double battle)....I like Zekrom and i think their stats match but Zekrom has some type weakness so.....

Be a little more specific as to what Pokemon each is running. Volcarona has quite a few different sets. It helps us better if you put as much information down so we can know what advice to give you.

Anyway, Cobalion is a poor Pokemon to have, since it's move pool is so meager. That's all the information I can give you from what information you give in your post.

......(don't do smogon......fail).....Volcorana would be the one with high sp. attack....hydreigon the one with physical attack.....was thinking Cobalion because of his defense and resistance......

By set, I don't mean smogon sets. I mean like:

[Pokemon]: [Insert Pokemon Here]
[Item]: [Insert Item Here]
[Nature]: [Insert Nature Here]
[Ability]: [Insert Ability Here]
[EV Spread]: [HP / Atk / Def / SAtk / SDef / Spd]
[Moveset]: [Move 1 | Move 2 | Move 3 | Move 4]

[INSERT WHY YOU ARE USING THIS POKEMON]

EXAMPLE
[Pokemon]: [Hydreigon]
[Item]: [Choice Specs]
[Nature]: [Timid]
[Ability]: [Levitate]
[EV Spread]: [4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd]
[Moveset]: [Draco Meteor | U-Turn | Hidden Power Fighting | Fire Blast]

[This Pokemon could make a good lead to instantly tear through most set up leads and anti leads. I might have a little trouble with weather teams such as sandstorm, so I opted for Hidden Power fighting to take down the notorious TYRANITAR leads. U-Turn for switching out, and Fire blast for coverage. Draco Meteor for STAB and to tear through walls.]

This helps us figure out what could be wrong with your team, or what Pokemon would easily sweep you.

Hydreigon is mainly a special attacker. Volcarona can set-up sweep. Cobalion may have a lot of resistances, But it doesn't have the defenses to withstand a high jump kick, or close combat, or an earthquake.

.....huhhhh.......i was thinking volcarona's moveset would be sunny day, solar beam, heat wave, and quiver dance or bug bite.......was thinking sp attack and speed in ev terms........attack for hydregion.......what would you recommend to cover their weaknesses?...mainly as a defensive pokemon.....

a good moveset of Volcarona includes Quiver Dance, Bug Buzz, Fiery Dance or another Fire STAB move and Psychic/Substitute/HiddenPower/Hurricane

Empoleon cover all the weakness of an Volcarona (Rock, Water and Flying) and has a lot of interesting move's... Surf for Rock, Grass Knot for Water, Ice Beam for Flying (and cover all types weakness of Volca) and a slot for Roar/Agility/Substitute/Ywan/Toxic etc etc

I cannot beleve nobody mentioned this...wait for it...

HYDREIGON IS NOT A PHYSICAL ATTACKER!!! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!! OF ALL THE POWERFUL PSEUDO_LEGENDARY DRAGONS YOU PICKED THE ONLY SP.ATK ORIENTED ONE TO BE YOUR PHYSICAL ATTACKER...
[this continues, I just don't have the finger strength to type all of it. Btw Hydreigon is shadow's second fav unova pokemon so he gets emotional]

... now, back on topic, Hydreigon is a powerful special fighter, If you want physical look no further than haxorus.

Not to say hydreigon is a bad pokemon, his Draco Meteor is crazy and he can learn at least 1 move from every type except grass his speed is aso pretty nice. He just doensn't fight physically.

although it requires breeding I suggest this setup:

Hydreigon
N:Modest
A:Levitate
Moves:
focus blast
earth power
draco meteor
fire blast

with this you cover: dragon, rock, ice, normal, steel, dark, poison, electric, fire, bug and grass types

11/17 that's pretty good with only fighting, flying, ground, ghost, water and psychic left.

This is a cool setup... cooler than mine, even... Need to level up my Haxorus now. Then I can be stronger. And my Klinklang needs leveling. And my Archeops. Heck, all my pokemon must be stronger.

Volcarona? How are u running it? Full sp.at

In that case you can go with modest personality, Fiery Dance, Morning Sun, Quiver Dance, Bug Buzz, I honestly like that set a lot, Volcarona Is quite a good pokemon he can resist most of the priority moves, this set gives him a good boost and acces to recovery.

If I was running Volcarona I would go 252 SP. Attack / 152 Speed / 104 HP . Quiver Dance, Fiery Dance, Heat Wave and Bug Buzz. Modest Nature.
