Plot help -Musicals

Hey Everyone! I'm writing a story at the moment and need a little bit of help with the plot. My story is set after the events of Pokemon Black and White. Ghetsis is back, hiding in Castelia, and is planning on using Genesect to extract revenge. My main character and his mother must be involved deeply in this story. The mother is a dragon-type Pokémon trainer and was supposed to inherit the Opelucid Gym but denied.
Any help would be greatly accepted. :lol:

There doesn't seem to be much you need help with, as you didn't give enough details as to what you need help with.

I would suggest by starting with the mother, who you seem to have given the most thought. Why did she deny the offer? Why did she train Dragon-types? What about her husband/father of the main character?

You also said "must be involved deeply in this story", which tells me that you don't know how they will be involved in the story.

Ok the mother is the daughter of the former Opelucid Gym Leader. She travelled the Kanto region and beat the Pokemon League. The reason she chose Dragon-Types is because of her aggresive and cruel father, who gave her Deino as her first Pokémon. She married one of Professor Elms assistants. The reason she didnt accept the role of Gym Leader was that she was pregnant and working aboard at the time. This is how Drayden became Leader. After the birth of her son she moved back to Unova. Fifteen years after, the father is still working with professor Elm in Johto and is only back once or twice a year.

I want to deeply link Genesect, the main characters mom and Team Plasma. What I was thinking is that the scientist working on Genesect is the main characters father. This would cause tension and a split to form. This is where I got stuck and saught help to build my story on this foundation.

You've raised another issue, and that is the setting.

The way you structured it, it seems that the main character will have to go to Johto, since his father is there, while staying in Unova, since Team Plasma is there.

Also, why didn't the mother take the role of the Gym Leader after giving birth? Did she decide that her child was more important, and she stopped training Pokémon? In any case, I think the mother would work much better as the main character than her child. You can still follow the same story, but switch the roles a little.

Thanks for all your help Kyuujux. I understand now that a lot of effort goes into these plots and fanfics and I think I'm ready to stanf on my own two feet. Just one last questions to post on this tread.

I have an idea of doing a musical in my fanfic 'P2 - After the Fall' but am stuck with ideas. Overall the musicals in black and white, in my opinion, are not as interesting as the conests in other regions. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to make something like this more interest and fun. Any help will be grately appreiciated.

I picture them in one of two ways:

A. A huge glorified song and tap dance number (something like this)
or B. Something like a musical play

Yah, thanks for the video! But how do you keep people interested in the musical just by describing it - as they say describing music is like anaylising humour.

Describe the song, the costumes, the moves, the audience reaction--even lyrics to the song if your story needs it
