Scyther ran through the Pokemon square, keeping up his speed to avoid meeting the gaze of strangers. The wind whipped against his face almost painfully as the scent of salty air hit his nose, and the strange architecture of Pelipper Post office came into view.
He opened his wings to slow his pace down to a walk by the time he had passed the bulletin board, a few loose papers flying into the air.
He peered over the grassy edge of the cliff, down into the sea below where the tide gently lapped against the rocks on this calm day.
From above sounded a Pelipper's call as it rose into the air and flew off into the direction of the square.
He suddenly remembered why he had come here in the first place, and crept through the entrance to the post office. The walls were lined with paper and several large blue and white birds sorted envelopes noisily.
Unnoticed, he took a seat to the side of the commotion and wandered off into his own thoughts.

Goku ran like his life depended on it. He showed the species' nimbleness by jumping, rolling, side-steping, and sliding out of the way of obstacles. It was actually a slightly amusing sight to see. He past the bulletin board and entered the post office. All he gain was the attention of the closest Pelipper, and that was only for a few seconds. Due to the fact he had no tail and a constant flame on his butt (oh, he wished he was a Monferno right now), he plopped on the floor, panting.

Scyther tilted his head in surprise as a somewhat clumsy looking Chimchar fell through the open doorway and onto the floor. He chuckled quietly under his breath before crossing his arms, tucking the abnormal coloured scythe behind his back.
"I wonder if this is someone else wishing to be in team.." he thought silently.

The Pelipper who had taken note of the commotion then fluttedred over the desk and landed in front of them both, surveying them by eyesight curiously.
"Are you two here for to apply to be in a Rescue Team?" he asked, fluffing his feathers slightly.

Scythere merely nodded in response, then turned his attention to the Chimchar for his answer.

Goku got back up after he regain his breath. "Yes, sir. I am." He said in a military tone, then noticed that the Scyther in the room hid one of his scythes. (Must be an old scar...) Goku said, dusting himself off.

The Pelipper then ran back to his desk and mumbled something to one of his peers before grabbing a few forms and laying them in front of them, as well as grabbing a small ink pad.
Then he looked at the pair and nodded to himself.
"Since no one else has come in as of yet, you both may have to be in the same team. Is that fine?"

Scyther uncrossed his arms as he bent down to look at the papers, scanning the print quickly and summarizing the forms.
He then made eye contact with the pelican-like bird and mumbled his approval.
He then looked away at the walls lined with numerous other forms, as well as a detailed map of the region standing out from everything else.

Goku nodded his approval after looking through the forms. After that, he walked to the map, noting the possible areas he'd probably be sent to. Good thing his parents have gave him his own copy.

The Pelipper pushed the ink pad forward, the motioning to two empty spaces where is would have to be signed.
Carefully Scyther pressed the tip of his right scythe into the ink, before pushing it onto the paper. After a second he peeled his scythe off and admired his small signature with the indents of the blade shown in white.
Then he wiped the remaining ink against his black scythe, not as if it would make much difference to it's permanent colour anyway.
A slight grin crossed his face as he stood back up and straightened his back, then stretching his numb wings.

Goku walked over and signed the paper with his family name and his given nickname, resulting in "Sun Wukong 'Goku' VII". Once that was done, he squatted and sat Indian style on the dirt, making sure he wasn't sitting on dry hay.

"Okay.." began the Pelipper, "Your team will be a name so you can be identified. Do you have any ideas?"
Scyther shrugged. "Only thing I want in the name, is the word Razor," he said, blinking a few times to get some dust out of his eye. "What do you want in it.." he paused and peered down at the papers, "Goku?"

The bird had pulled out a large feather quill and was now dipping it in the ink, ready to write.

"Nice idea.." he replied as he watched Pelipper quickly scribe the name down.
"Congratulations, you two are now a Rescue Team," he said. A few of the other Pelipper let out an excited cheer.
Then two badges, one each, were given to both Scyther and Chimchar.
Scyther closely inspected his own, it shone a dull gray in the light. Swiftly he pinned the badge to his bandana.
"Razorwind..heh.." he smiled, then walked outside where the sudden bright light hit him hard, his eyes unadjusted to the change.

Goku took out a bandanna, tied it around his neck, then placed his Normal-ranked badge on it. A sense of duty washed over him as he looked onto it.

"Are you coming or not?" Scyther called back while shielding his eyes with his scythe until it was bearable again.
He was almost itching to start on his first mission, the air had almost changed too to suit the new atmosphere. It was fresh and full of confidence, just like him.
Putting his scythe back by his side, he hopped over to the Bulletin Board where he looked at all the requests overfilling the board, no wonder the Post Office had asked for assistance in the first place.

"Hmm? Oh, sorry." Goku said, walking over. He looked on the board, and was disappointed to find that all the missions on there were E-Ranked missions. "Great." Goku said, picking up a mission to Tiny Woods.

Scyther peered curiously at the paper, unable to read it upside down.
"What's it for?" he asked.
A first mission, rather practical for it to be somewhere simple and uncrowded.
It was hard to keep from scraping his scythes together from excitement.

"An E-ranked mission to Tiny Woods. A mother Butterfree lost her child Caterpie there and needs help. There will be some belligerent Pokemon there, but I wouldn't worry about it." Goku said, walking inside to confirm it and got a Rescue Team Box, slinging it over his shoulder.

He watched as Goku disappeared back into the Post Office, then returning with a strange looking box.
"So do you know the way? I'm not one of the exploring type and yeah..." he mumbled, looking down onto the set dirt path, covered with many prints of different feet going separate ways.

"Thankfully, I know where to find the place. Pops and Ma once always took me to Tiny Woods to train when I was younger." The chimp-like Pokemon said, walking down the dirt path leading to the west. The town had paths everywhere leading outside of it, effectively making Forest Town a crossroad of sorts.

((I'm sorry, but Pokemon Town is highly unoriginal.))

Scyther scooted along behind the Chimchar, trusting his sense of direction while taking in the surroundings. The many paths were extremely confusing, and he only knew the one in which took him to his home.
However it bothered him none at all.

((The Town name for the first PMD games.))

Goku walked for about 15 minutes, coming across a pacing and frantic female Butterfree. "Are you a Rescue Team?!" She asked, her voice a clue she was close to hysterics. "Ma'am, calm down. Yes, we are a Rescue Team. Team Razorwind, is us. Now, how did this happen?" Goku asked. "We were taking a stroll when my baby was taken into the Woods by a Swellow." Goku's eyes widen. Swellow were notorious Bug eaters. "We will get your son back." Goku said, then ran past her and into the Tiny Woods entrance, marked with a sign outside that said "Tiny Wood ahead".
