We are a bit short on members at the moment, but we should start anyway. Hopefully, the activity can draw in new members, and people won't think that this is dead. And even if no one else joins, four people is still enough to do an RP. So, welcome to PMD: World in Discord!
We will all start in the same area. The Pokémon that were once human are there for a set reason, placed there a set way. As for the Pokémon that were already there, those Pokémon are there for whatever reason, you decide. They join the group for whatever reason, whenever you say so. So, let's begin!

A dark wasteland. That's all that can be seen for miles. The sky is a dark and ominous overcast. The ground is devoid of life, grey and destroyed. A dark fog rests atop the horizon. Seemingly bottomless holes in the ground are scattered everywhere. The world seems... empty, a cataclysmic apocalypse.

And there was Miala, on a mission to apprehend the Arbok Shila for the Guild. She could see him. She hopped the gaps in the earth, gaining distance with each step. Suddenly, a powerful roar followed by a bright light crossed between Miala and Shila. Shila slithered away, and Miala could see figures in the distance. She swept to the area where the light came from. In its place was a cluster of Pokémon. An Absol, a Misdreavus, and a Togepi lay there, unconscious.

"Hey... are you awake?" Miala asked, poking the three. "Is everything okay?"

Eggs was blinded by a flash of bright light, and then he fell flat on his back. He felt himself being poked and prodded. He figured he must have over slept. He opened his eyes, and he who was poking him. Leaning over his face was a pokemon. It was a buneary, and he could understand it.

"A pokemon?! TALKING?! Pokemon don't talk!" eggs yelled nervously.

Break and Taeis awoke, partly from being poked, partly from Eggs' yelling. Miala looked at Eggs confusedly. "But..." she said, pointing to Eggs. "you're a Pokémon... Is everything okay?"

Break thought about the fact that talking Pokémon was strange, but didn't really care. What mostly brought his attention was the fact that he felt oddly comfortable on all fours. Then he thought about how that would be impossible, unless either his arms were really long, or his legs were really short. Or he had been turned into a quadruped. Which, upon further inspection, was the conclusion he had come to. "...Why am I an Absol?"

Taeis, on the other hand was alarmed at all this. A Buneary, an Absol, and a Togepi all seemed a lot bigger than they should, and spoke. And... why was she floating?! Taeis seemed frozen in panic and confusion.

Slasher, going on a stroll from his cottage, notices the commotion directly ahead of him in the distance, in the way of his usual path. Annoyed, he contemplates turning around, as he really did not want to meet the group. However, curiosity of the situation took a hold of him, and he walked over to the group at a leisurely pace.

"What's going on here?" He said in a serious, and slightly annoyed tone.

Break looked away from the screaming Togepi to a Scyther. "Hm. Looks like we're not alone."

Miala turned around as well. "Oh, hiya! Well, these three just appeared out of nowhere, and they seem panicked and confused, so I'm helping them." The way she said this made it sound like it was completely normal.

Taeis was a bit afraid of the Scyther, and hid behind Break, whom didn't care much about it.

Eggs looked around nervously, seeing that that the buneary was not the only pokemon. Behind him stood an adsol and a misdreavus. Behind the buneary was a scyther wondering what was happening. He thought that they were all strangely large for pokemon, and he also notice that he was very close to the ground.

Eggs looked at his arms and chest. He saw that his arms were small white stubs, and his chest was a cracked egg. He was a pokemon himself.

"Will someone tell me why i'm a togepi, and not a human?"

Miala turned back to the Togepi. "But... humans are just... fantasy creatures."

This shocked Break and Taeis. "Wait..." Break started. "I was a human once... You're saying my memories were just a fairy tale?"

Slasher narrows his eyes at the group upon hearing what Eggs and Break said, he turns to Miala.

"They are lying, in fact, I'm sure they are lying. Probably attention seekers with empty and pathetic lives, we all know that Humans are indeed myth. Even if they DID exist, they have not been around for many years."

OOC: Millions of years? Maybe a few hundred or thousand, but not millions. Remember, the chaos that spread was VERY quick, compared to natural events, because of the fact that these rampaging legendaries pretty much control the world. But that it's millions of years can just be an idea that Slasher has if you wish.

"Lying? Just for attention? Why would anyone do such a dishonorable thing?" barked Break.

Miala sighed. "It is indeed true that there is no evidence of humans' existence. But I trust them, for the moment. Besides, have you ever heard a screeching roar, and immediately, a flash of light creates Pokémon out of nowhere? It doesn't make sense, doesn't follow what we know. So why should everything else follow what we know?"

Slasher looks at the group, and then back at Miala, he scowls and says:

"Fine, whatever. They are still sketchy to me though, I don't trust them one bit."

OOC: Okay. Thanks for telling.

Miala looked at the group, and thought about the Arbok she was to catch. "... We should probably get out of here."

Slasher looks around, and examines the area quickly. Before saying "I don't see anything, but you are right, we probably should get out of here."

Miala turned the direction the Arbok Shila fled, and head the other way, deciding to catch Shila later. "Silverheart's this way."
Break followed her, looking at her confusedly, asking, "Silverheart?"
Miala kept going. "Silverheart is a town to the west of here. You can rest up there, grab your bearings."

OOC: Cynder, not having been once human, can join in whenever for whatever reason.

Miala left for Silverheart with Break, Eggs, and Taeis.

OOC: Thanks-I'll start up now, then.

Cynder groaned, shaking her head. That could have gone so much better. She was doing good, she'd almost had them all gone, when one of them hit me with a Quick Attack from behind. Evidently, the problem was worse than she had thought. Picking herself up, she was forced to steady herself on a nearby tree as a wave of dizziness washed over her. It soon passed, and she was able to stagger along at a reasonable approximation of her natural gait. Silverheart Town seemed like the best option-it was fairly nearby, and hopefully there'd be somewhere to rest. She'd heard there was a Guild hall there as well-perhaps she could get a job there.

Break looked around. "So, what's up with this dead land? Is the whole world this destroyed?" he asked, staring at the dark fog that seemed to envelop the land.

"Oh, by no means," Miala replied. "In fact, this the only known area to be this way. No one knows why this place is so dark, but legends say that a magick destroyed the world, starting from here. But if that's true, then why would we be here?"

Break thought about it for a moment. Well, it's the only explanation, albeit one that makes no sense, and more of a folktale than a historical document. I don't know whether or not to believe it...

Suddenly, a Banette with a dark look in its eyes appeared in front of Miala, attempting to attack her. She striked it with her halberds, quickly knocking it out. "...What was that? Why did it attack you?" Break asked. Miala turned back around.

"That was a Shadow. They're Pokémon with a dark heart. Fortunately, few remain in existence. But they're strong, and will attack anything. I can teach you more once we get to Silverheart, but for now, we should focus on moving forward."

OOC: Yes, the Pokemon Cynder sees are the party members. No, she's not walking up on a group of Shadows. No, you won't have to rescue her immediately.

"What is this place?" Cynder looked around. She'd never seen a place like this before. "It's all...dead. What happened here?" Spotting a group of Pokemon nearby, she hustled towards them, hoping nothing would go too wrong. She'd learned about "safety in numbers," and if she needed to be safe anywhere, it was here.

Break noticed a Cyndaquil rushing to them. "Hm? Is this another Shadow?" he asked Miala, who stopped and turned around.

"No!" she replied. "Shadows are easily recognizable from the dark aura they emit." She walked to the Cyndaquil. "Hiya! Are you wild or civilized?" she asked with a cheery face.
