[PocketNews] DP's Release Date to be Revealed on May 15th

There's still no confirmation that D/P will be at E3. This is going to be revealed in CoroCoro.
 
Oh. Because I know E3 is sometime in May, and given Nintendo's track record with E3, that would be a pleasant surprise.
 
I'd laugh if the release date turns out to be sometime in early 2007. God knows they're taking their sweet time with this game.

Yeah, it probably will be 2007. Another year of waiting in agony and 3 more spin-offs and filler league.
 
Took 'em long enough. What is so freakin' hard about releasing a bit of info now and then anyway?

Hopefully this long delay means that the game will be spectacular, and blow our minds away. Otherwise, if we just get another generic-type game, it won't be as good because of this long wait.

Other than that, I'm glad to finally be hearing some news about these games. I hope it has more features than what we originally assumed. :-p
 
They've been waiting to be able to provide a flow of information. I'm sure we'll get lots between now and the release, (which will be this year.)

E3 is an American trade show. D/P is unlikely to appear until next year when it's actually relevant to the American press and market. As already said before, Ranger and Mysterious Dungeon are more likely to be at E3 - not D/P. The Tokyo Game Show, however - that runs at the end of September, is quite likely to feature D/P.
 
While I do not feel at liberty to judge Japanese text without true qualifications, I have to question how the news post gave Serebii the impression that a release date announcement was on the agenda. As phrased by both Pokeani and its source (the Pokémon Fan Club newsletter), it has become known that next month's CoroCoro issue will feature details on Diamond and Pearl in the context of Ranger. That is, the communication aspects the games have been said to entail since last August will be finally unearthed. As for the release date of the anticipated games, there is currently no indication whether that will fall under the scope of information.

I can only offer comfort in the fact that the actual CoroCoro preview is not available as of yet. The newsletter simply extracted the pieces of Ranger coverage, none of which constitute as breaking news. Even details on the compatibility between Ranger and Diamond and Pearl are, unfortunately, more relevant to the former than they are to the latter. I find it unreasonable that another month will go by with the traditional games still being put on hold in favor of Ranger, and so I suggest that everyone look forward to the preview which will undoubtedly shed light on the full contents.

Unless Serebii can account for a separate news post of which I am not aware, there has been a grave error regarding the nature of the news. I expect to see the Bulbanews article revised accordingly once Serebii has provided his own explanation for the matter at hand.

You forget about the Pokémon Festa in August.
 
Hopefully that won't be the only DP news we hear next week with the coming of E3

No mention of Pokémon Diamond/Pearl release dates - only details about the link between it and Pokémon Ranger (probably in the sense of link cable linking). (Also - there is a connection between this and the movie. I'm guessing the Manaphy egg can be transferred over.)

It turns out that it is nothing more than some connection between D/P and Ranger. They're really milking this one for all it's worth, aren't they?
 
As long as this doesn't become like FFXII... geez, the trailer for XIII is coming out, and America *still* hasn't got it yet.
