[PocketNews] New Pokemon Dub Names

Mime Jr. looks like they thought really hard to make a new for the pre-evolution of Mr. Mime. Weavle is a cool name.

I've seen pics of the tags, and it is feasible that these will be the names. And Weavile is supposedly Weasel + vile.

Weavile. Weasel + vile. Not that bad a name. I kinda like it. And Mime, Jr., well...who's surprised?

Who knows, but I think it rhymes with Sceptile or Grovyle.

Oh, cool.

Yay, we finally know the names of these two Pokemon!! ^^

Anyway, yeah, I was kinda expecting something like Mime Jr. (lol, it fits perfectly), and I like the name Weavile a lot. :-)

Jr. Mime would've been better. But I'm not complaining either way. And I think Weavile's an awesome name!

Dont see how Jr. Mime would be better as that is the incorrect use of the suffix

Not really, you have Jr. Campers.

I actually wish they made his name clown related over mime.

Junior Campers isn't somebody's name though whereas in the use of an actual name the term Junior has to go at the end

Mime isn't somebody's name, either, though. It's the name of a species of fictional animal, at least in this instance, so Jr. Mime would make just as much sense. In this instance, neither "Campers" nor "Mime" is a proper noun or an actual name.

Well, formally a man is addressed a "Mr. [name]", and his son is usually "[Same name] Jr." so this is good.

Is it Wee-vile, or Weave-ile?

Umm... what's the difference in those two? But anyway, like someone said, it rhymes with Grovyle. Damn, I should have gotten this one, seeing as Pokemon in a family of two usually use the same word, but different parts of it.

I parsed Weavile as [wp]weevil[/wp]. Either way they're evil.

I swear whoever thought of Weavile read my mind. Sometimes I say "evil" as "e-vile" this could be a play on that. I know it's not really but still.

Mime Jr. was expected. I'm not much for clowns so I probably won't get one.

I think the names are fine.

I hope that the name Weavile is pronounced Weevull, rather than Weevyle, because then it would sort of rhyme with it's pre-vo Sneasel
