I listen to podcasts usually on my runs. I find them a good way to keep up with the stuff I'm interested while being able to multitask in general.

Politics:
The Economist Podcast: Short but intelligent commentary on current world affairs, politics, and economics even though their main feature seems to just regurgitate their printed material. However, the have other features which include policy discussions and discussions with certain bureau chiefs that specialize in subjects that require greater focus.

CNET News - Tech Politics Rundown: Nice fifteen minutes discussions about policy that affects the tech industry ranging from DRM, net neutrality, and software patents. Sometimes they get policy makers from Washington on the show which makes them feel as though they have confident authority on how these issues are discussed.

Washington Post Radio: International Hour: A nice weekly podcast featuring a summary of all the latest international news that had occurred throughout the week. Technically a podcast but in reality a radio show since the Washington Post has its own radio station in the DC area where they broadcast their shows. The production values are great and the information is top notch since they have bureau chiefs on all over the world that they talk to.

P3 Politics Podcast by the Washington Post: A nice short daily podcast that summarizes the political news of the day. They keep listeners up to date with the latest happenings on the campaign trail and in Washington. Occasionally have the actual presidential candidates on for interviews. Very nice and balanced.

The President's Weekly Radio Address: The podcast by yours truly, President George W. Bush. I don't agree with the man three quarters of the time, but I like keeping tabs on what the White House is currently thinking.

New York Times World View: A nice in-depth recorded conversation with New York Times' international bureau chiefs, usually on a hot topic international subject or a very esoteric subject that would not have been given attention on the front pages of the New York Times. It's not so much news but more of a discussion of on-going problems by the people directly observing them.

General Entertainment:
Anime Today by RightStuf.com: I dunno why I listen to this when it's loaded with advertisements, seemingly canned dialogue, and appeals to the "kawaaii, neko" pocky-loving anime fan. However, I enjoy keeping an ear open for the new licensed anime. Plus, the interviews they have with voice actors, directors, and licensors gives an interesting inside look at the anime industry.

Anime World Order: The antithesis of the mainstream anime podcast. Daryl Sarat is just funny even though he still has traces of being an overexcited anime fan. I like the obscure anime they review and their "refined" tastes on the entire medium they offer.

The Penny Arcade Podcast: It's just Gabe and Tycho talking while they type up a basic script but it's still the funniest shit I've ever heard. The humor stems from either the shenanigans Gabe and Tycho do to each other IRL or how they go from a single stray random thought to an full fledged three panel comic that works.

ESPN: Pardon the Interruption: I'm not that interested in sports that much, but I like to at least know what's going on in the seemingly esoteric world of sports. Kornheiser and Wilbon are just so funny that it's entertaining to listen without prior knowledge of sports.

The Kevin and Bean Show from KROQ: KROQ is a local radio station in Los Angeles, but it's a pretty big radio station. Kevin and Bean is the morning radio show for KROQ. It's an enjoyable listen since the show has an odd sense of humor and a lot of celebrity guests.

The Official LOST Podcast: I like getting an inside glimpse at the production of the show. Plus, the two executive producers who do the show are entertaining to listen to, especially with their humorous takes on various revealed plot elements.

Video Games:
1UP Yours: Quite possibly the best video games podcast on the 'net. It's the most in-depth discussion on both the games and the games industry itself that make this podcast such a great listen. It's also funny to boot though, slightly less funny since Luke Smith had left 1UP to work for PR for Bungie Studios.

Retronauts by 1UP.com: A nice in-depth discussion on old video games and why they're so good. They're also not prone to view games with rose-tinted glasses which is definitely needed when reviewing old games which tend to promote biased nostalgia.

Game Theory: A podcast dedicated towards the games industry side of things and not necessarily games. I'd imagine people interested in working for the games industry (like me) would be more interested and not gamers in particular.

GFW Radio: Like 1UP Yours but concentrated on PC gaming. Quite possibly the funniest podcast I listen to overall. Shawn Eliott's lampooning of nerds has me floored many times and the weird discussions they get into are just golden. Oh, and it offers some incredibly insightful commentary on PC games and gaming. :p

Joystiq Podcast: A more news oriented video games podcast with good commentary by Joystiq's editors.

PC Gamer Podcast: The podcast by the editors of PC Gamer. More news oriented as well, but the discussions seem disjointed and light compared to those of 1UP Yours, GFW Radio, Retronauts, Joystiq, etc.

Technology
FLOSS Weekly: Nice in-depth discussion on free (as in speech) software and open source development.

The Linux Action Show: Great commentary and discussion on Linux, news regarding Linux, and OSS in general.
