About dealing with rejection. Oddly enough, I did a bit of rhyming in this (even though I hate to write poetry that rhymes).

Love and Pain


I see you on the street
Just wandering around
And I want to shout out
Yet no words can silence
The screams of my heart

I remember that night
The words that were said
The feelings we shared
The pain that I felt
When you weren't there

Love and pain
Confusion and fear
What did I do
To deserve that reaction,
That rejection, from you

All I can do is apologize
Ask for forgiveness
And hope for the best
I shout out to you
And put my courage to the test
