Poison-themed team

Go ahead and laugh, but I've decided my next project is to create a complete poison-themed team. Partly for fun (poison is arguably the weakest type...) but I also want it to be competitive. I have a tenative plan on what pokemon I want to use, but I'm kinda new to this competitive battling so I wanted to see what other people thought. Here's my tenative lineup (of 8, haha):

Nidoqueen w/Leftovers
Earthquake
Substitute
Toxic Spikes
Roar

A shuffler/tank. Never made one before, I'm just afraid Nidoqueen is too slow maybe?

Crobat w/???
Haze
Aerial Ace/Fly?
Confuse Ray
Poison Fang/Toxic?

Hazer/annoyer. Pretty much a standard Crobat from what I've seen.

Ariados w/Focus band
Baton Pass
Spider Web
Agility
Poison Jab

Baton passer. I plan on using this guy to pass some speed to my Arbok/Skuntank, and also trap with Spider Web. He has decent attack, so I thought I'd stick Poison Jab in there.

Skuntank w/Salac Berry
Night Slash
Memento
Explosion
Shadow Claw

With this guy in the lineup, I can't be swept with Psychic. Also can be suicided with Explosion combined with the ability Aftermath or Memento.

Arbok w/Liechi??
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Poison Jab
Glare

Physical sweeper, plus paralyze move. Yes, I know Arbok isn't very good, but he's my favorite so he's in.

Venomoth w/???
Psychic
Bug Buzz/Signal Beam
Energy Ball
Sleep Powder

Special sweeper, plus sleep. A counter to ground-types.

I'm thinking a Gengar might be useful, something like:
Shadow Ball
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Destiny Bond???

He'd replace Venomoth as special sweeper.

I also think Tentacruel might be necessary, considering the large amount of Garchomp/Salamence/Dragonite, plus he can help if Nidoqueen fails to get spikes down:
Ice Beam
Surf
Toxic Spikes
Barrier???

I was also considering Croagunk at one point, and maybe one of the grass/poison dual types. Any suggestions?

Venomoth sucks, replacing it with the infinitely better Gengar should go without saying. And you don't have a Water type in there, so Tentacruel is a good idea.

Arceus is too hard to get and its an uber.
replace Nidoqueen for Nidoking.
Level Nidorino up till it learns Horn Drill and then evolve Nidoking
(can that move maniac guy teach it the moves it would have learnt if u'd evolved Nidoking earlier?) if so then teach it Megahorn too

how about Drapion who is also immune to Psychic attacks?
Tentacruel is fine and so is Gengar
Toxicroak is alright cos any Psychic Pokemon you encounter just switch to ur part dark type
what about Venusaur or Victreebel?
and i think Crobat is fine cos any Pokemon that you think will use Earthquake you can put Crobat in

I think Rock is the weakest type because it has 5 weaknesses..but I'm liking the team.
