The album, which Mikel spent a year working on, includes a total of 14 lofi covers of classic Pokémon tunes from the first six generations of the main series games, as well as the original theme song for the English dub of the Pokémon animated series. The album has been mastered by Nicolas De Porcel, the Grammy Winning Mastering Engineer of 2024's Recording of the Year, Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar.
Select tracks from Poké & Chill 2 are available for free streaming and individual purchase now on Bandcamp. After release, the album will be available for streaming and/or download via a wide variety of platforms including Amazon Music, Anghami, Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, TIDAL, and YouTube Music.
Mikel is an English born and German raised lofi and hip-hop artist. Between 2018 and 2024, he released a total of 6 albums of music covering or inspired by franchises such as The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, Studio Ghibli, and The Lord of The Rings. The first four of these albums, including the original Poké & Chill, were released via the GameChops label, while his more recent work has been released independently.
