There are legends in Sinnoh that state that humans and Pokémon once married each other. This suggests that they once shared a common ancestry. These shared genes are about to reveal themselves in ways unseen by humans for thousands of years, and only spoken of in the oldest legends. Some ignorant few believe themselves to be the next step in evolution, rather than throwbacks to ancient times. These mutants are discovering themselves to have strange powers and/or forms, some of which don't even seem to be related to any kind of Pokémon left in the world. Their forms remain, with a few, minor exceptions, unquestionably human, but there are still those that call them monsters.


Some people revel in the fear they cause with their powers, while others are determined to live peacefully with the normal humans and Pokémon of the world. What are your powers, and what faction do you belong to?


Are you a hero that wishes to use your mutation for the good of others?


Might you be a villain in it for personal gain?


Or could you be a simple bystander wishing to be left alone?

Mutation: Able to expel fire from mouth or hands that varies by temperature via color; immune to fire or heat in general; can absorb fire by placing hand in it or jumping into it; can shape fire into melee weaponry; can expel heat from feet to propel him skyward. Enhance durability and strength.

Mutation Ver. 2:

Appearance:
(Physical) Black hair, icy blue eyes, medium build, muscular, tanned skin, slightly pointy ears, pointy teeth, 173 lbs., 6'8"

(Clothing) Black formal-style pants; cowboy boots; a red long two tailed coat; fingerless gloves; a gray long sleeved shirt

(Mutation) Two curved horns emerging from his forehead and the points of the horns reaching the back of his head, and a long tail emerging from his tail bone tipped with an arrowhead. Eyes become red when powers are in use. Nubs protruding from his back suggest he might grow wings in the future.

(Mutation Ver. 2) Horns have expanded, lengthen, and gained ridges; skin has become charcoal black with red tribal markings along his face, back, arms, and legs; tail has lengthen and grew scales, with the arrowhead on tail becoming tougher and sharper; spike spikes grow out of his body; nails has lengthed; teeth has became sharper; grand bat-like wings with a wingspan of 25 ft. sprout out of his body; red irises with yellow scelra, similar to Mightyena eyes; ear tips become sharper.

Personality: He is sarcastic, mouthy, love to rub people the wrong way, doesn't seem to show fear to anyone, cynical, appears to be callous, has a strong sense of justice, likes a fair fight, and can be quite lazy.

Bio: Dante was born with horn nubs on his head and an arrowhead-less tail, startling people, even his mother and father. Some more religious figures, such as the Pope, have deemed him the Devil incarnate, more so when Dante's fire-manipulation skills manifested. Moving away from their old home when they began harassing them, Dante grew up to be a rebellious soul, having fallen in love with rock n' roll when he first heard KISS when he was 7. He as of late has experienced excruciating back pain flashes that tend to cripple him. An X-ray revealed that underneath his skin, wing bones have started to develop, and will be fully matured and will be able to fly by the time he hits 35 years old.

Hmm. I suppose I should clarify: the mutation isn't simply "I'm this pokémon," because otherwise, I'd just be attempting a revival of "The Hybrid Virus." What I mean by mutation is "Holy crap, that person can breathe fire!" or "that person just vanished into thin air!" Or even just appearance-wise, such as someone with a Meowth's charm or a Psyduck's feathers. Or the two could be related, such as flight by Charizard's wings.

You could make your character like Gambit, whose mutation, so far as I can tell, doesn't really have any Pokémon equivalent

I probably won't have an actual character in this, either. I'll be playing several NPCs and perhaps the Big Bad or Big Good... Except, I guess they count as characters. But you get the point I was trying to make, right?

Gender: Female

Alignment: Neutral/Good
Mutation: An empath, Sarah is able to feel the emotions of people around her, and sometimes manipulate them, though not by much. Other's emotions tend to have a great effect on her as well, however (ex. if someone nearby is sad, then she will become sad as well). She has telepathic and telekinetic powers, as well as weak healing powers or the ability to disable others (think like Wil-O-Wisp, Thunder Wave, Toxic, etc.). Occasionally, she can raise barriers that will help protect others, but it drains a lot out of her.
Appearance:
Physical: Sarah is 5'3" tall, with short, curled blonde hair. She is slender, but rather plain and unassuming. She usually wears a long white skirt over green leggings, boots, and a white, apron-like tanktop over a long-sleeved green shirt.
Mutation: She has two triangular red 'horns' on her chest and back. Her eyes are also a light shade of lavender.
Personality: Sarah is very quiet, though quite kind. Her favorite activities are gardening and cooking, and she makes a living selling her fruits, vegetables, and flowers. She doesn't have very much confidence in herself, and as a result, she is very shy, but she always wants to help others.
Bio: Sarah is the oldest of a large family in a small town, and often helped take care of her younger brothers and sisters. She started to work when she was only fourteen, taking a job at a local restaurant, but when she started developing the empathetic horns on her chest and back, she was fired and no one else would hire her. She eventually moved away got a place of her own, she set up a stand in the market for her freshly grown produce and flowers. Word quickly spread about the quality of her goods, and for a while, she enjoyed good business. When word spread just as quickly that she was a mutant, she was shunned from general society, and has had a hard time keeping her store and home from being vandalized. However, she still manages to pull in enough business to get by.

Codename: Fairy
Alignment: Good
Mutation: She has the ability to munuplate pheromones, allowing her to alter her scent. This lets her copy Pokemon attacks like Sweet Scent and Aromatherpy, as well as emit a terrible odor like the ability Stench. Another ability she has is to alter her pheromones to make influence people, such as making them become attracted to her or want to do something she needs them too. This also lets her hide from tracking dog and such. Whatever Pokemon is manafesting through her is no longer present on Earth, but was apparently a grass type as she also has several grass-like attrabutes, like vines she can extend to use like vinewhip and the ability to feed through photosysnthasis, which can speed up healing, as well as use some grass type attacks.
Appearance: 5'5'', green hair, (when looked at closely, are actuelly fine leaves), emerald colored eyes, wears a full body suit that's green in color, which also covers flower petals growing from her neck.
Personality: Kind, caring, always willing to help others, even if they hate her. She's a wonderer by nature and is always looking for someone else to help. She just wants to bring peace to the world, and find others with this goal.
Bio: She was born in a remote villiage in Sinnoh, but was already born with flower petals and the leaves composing her hair. Thankfully, she was born in the right place, as the villiage had a legend of 'fairies' living in the forest (scientists believe these to be inspired by Celebi sightings) and believed her to be one. She was raised to love all life, as these 'fairies' were believed to do so. Eventually, she left the villiage to find the mutant hating world. Thankfully, her pheromones allow her to mislead people, making it easier for her to move around. She's spent much of her life helping people with her powers as well as wondering all over the world. There are those who believe she is a fairy or spirit instead of a mutant. Her powers are also a defense mechanism, if she feels very threatened, the pheromones emit a horrid stench against her will to protect her.
 
Made some minor changes to Sarah's clothes. Just FYI.

Think X-Men of Marvel Comic, Inc. This isn't like his last RPG I participated in. We aren't hybrids, Pokemon-human fusions but mutants, humans with extraordinary powers.

It says they're descended from ancient pokemon and humans, just some of them aren't around anymore, so we have more freedom.

Mutation: Kevin has an ability to alter the electrons around him, letting him alter radio waves and charge the area around him with electricity. He can also actually exist inside a computer and travel through it, altering things at will. This has allowed him to modify all of his games to his needs and set up his computer so that only he can access it.
Appearance: White hair, with a belt full of electronic and hacking devices. 5'4 with a bit of a cleft chin. He has lots of lower leg power, and works out in his other time, when he is away from his computer.
Bio: He was born with an absolute obsession with computers. His friends (Who are also hackers, but good ones) call him "Slicer" because of his ability. He never knew his parents, and was sent to an orphanage at birth. He is friendly, and loves company.

SuperX, you are approved, but remember that your non-scent-based grass-type techniques are to be considerably weaker than a normal grass-type (like a Bulbasaur) using the same.

Sierra 117, you would be approved but you left out your alignment. Are you neutral, evil, or good? Also, recall that I said we're not doing hybrids, we're doing mutants. I don't mind that your character thinks he might be the son of a Porygon Z, but he most likely isn't.

Here are some tropes related to both powers and alignment, for help with those who are going to sign up.

Name: Riley Smythe

Gender: Male

Codename: Dusk

Alignment: Evil

Mutation:
His powers generally revolve on the ability to create mist. He has the useful ability to turn himself into mist, and can also create mist around him as a cloaking device. A frightening power of his is to be able to make the mist he creates as well as regular mist toxic to all species. He breathes this toxic mist as he can no longer survive on regular air, and can also see perfectly in it. He is able to fire jets of toxic mist from his palms, and the force of these jets can reach that of a tornado. He can also cause solid objects to evaporate into his mist. He is around one and a half times stronger than any normal human.

Appearance:
In order to be able to breathe in normal air, Dusk is forced to wear a steel mask with bolts around the edge, with thin slits for eyes and a mouth. This mask keeps out the air and keeps in the toxic mist and gases. It is held on with leather straps which are hidden by his jet black full body leather trenchcoat, which has scarlet lining the edges and the flaps on the pockets, as well as large scarlet flames printed up the right side. He has black leather gloves, and black rocker boots with straps and thick soles. He has dark brown jeans with three belts decipting demons holding them up, and a white shirt with a black tie, and a brown pinstripe jacket over the top. Due to all this clothing, his physical appearance is unkown, but he is around 6'8" tall, has a reasonably muscled build, and has chocolate brown hair poking out from behind his mask.

Personality:
As Dusk has lost the ability to speak, his personality is hard to identify. However, he seems to be very cold to other, even his comrades, and does things of his own accord without considering the effect it will have on him and other people. As he is insane, he is merciless while fighting and still fights when the odds are against him.

Bio:
When Riley was born, he was put into life support almost immediately when it was found he couldn't breath regular air. It was only after a carbon-monoxide leak in the hospital that it was discovered he could only breath toxic gases, and he was forced to wear an oxygen tank for all his life, which not only made him look different, but prevented speech which meant he never learnt how to talk. Both these things meant Riley was picked on at school, and at the age of fourteen his anger awakened his mist powers, and he ended up murdering two of his bullies with them, however one got away and told the authorities about him. Three hours later Riley was captured and sent to an asylum. He spent seven years in there, which was long enough for him to go insane. He used his powers to escape the asylum on the seventh year, and since then he has striked fear into the hearts of many people, and has become one of several well known evil mutants giving good and neutral mutants a bad name.

I think I'll start things up when we get two more people, hopefully at least one of them will be evil. Also, before anyone asks, I don't particularly like to allow two characters to a person, because it can get somewhat confusing, especially when one of their characters is good and the other evil.

Mutation: Can dissolve into sand, hence "Sable", the French word for sand. Can also re-form into most things he can think of, since he can absorb sand (i.e. he can take of the form of a Pokemon or human, or even a wall, as long as he has enough sand to do so)
Appearance: Sandy hair, tan skin with a light build, sand-colored eyes... if I missed something, guess what color it is.
Personality: Has a dark, moody personality
Bio: His parents were minor trainers who prefered Sandstorm teams, and when their son was born with the ability of sand, they were thrilled... at first. While he could do plenty of things by the time he was five, his powers were still unstable, and he inadverdently killed his parents, a memory he has suppressed. He set out to repent himself ever since, and though his methods (steeling food for survival, etc.) may seem to align him with evil, he has always fought against them.

I may make another one later, if allowed.
 
Hmm. I suppose I did forget Age... Obviously it isn't too big a deal as its not on the list, but if you wish to edit your character for age, go ahead.

Also, you are approved, Sarcastically Insane, but as I said in the post just before yours, I doubt I'll be allowing second characters. I rather like the way your character is a "hero with bad publicity," more-or-less. Just make sure he stays away from any slippery slopes...
