Pokéathlons or Contests.

With the introduction of pokeathlon's will Nintendo knock the contests out or will Contests stay or what.

So what do you think? And if you had to choose one or the other, what would you do?

Having played and enjoyed Pokéthlons MUCH more than Contests, I want Pokéthlons back at least. I don't care what they do with contests, I just want Pokéthlons still in the games.
 
Pokeathlons should definitely come back, couldn't care less about Contests though.
 
I honestly do not understand why its always one or the other with people :/
 
Well, Pokemon competitions are based on animal competitions. In real life, you only really have races, cockfighting, and animal shows. And those are all covered in Pokemon. The only other type of competition is slaughtering an animal and seeing which one tastes the best.

Contests need to be more like they are in the games, though. Sheen, Appeal, then Performance Battle.
 
Get rid of contests, but not completely!
I had an idea of a Wii game (Or future Console) to have a Game call "Pokemon Co-ordinator" where it expands with new contest features (Such as real time). And makes contests more like the Anime.
 
I say, just put contests in the background. Keep Pokeathlons up front, maybe in the anime James could be in it.
 
I want both. I want to participate in Super Contests, or whatever upgrade they have, and Pokeathlons. Though I've always got a Johto-only vibe from the latter.

Also I would like for both contests and the pokethlon in Gen V, I don't get why people are so one-sided, I mean if you don't like contests no one is forcing you to do them, likewise with the pokethlon.
 
None, those are so fucking stupid. Especially contests...Something new and fresh would be nice...and not some beauty contest or mini-olympics.

OK, so we'll have that competition where your Pokemon is slaughtered, gutted, cooked, and judged for it's flavor! : D
