IMO, I do want it back. I miss the radio shows and music, and I actually thought I was carrying around a radio in my pocket in real life. I liked Professor Oak's Pokemon Talk, even though I knew everything him and Mary had to say, and Buena's Password was a nice add-in to Crystal because you could get a good amount of legal Rare Candies, over a long period of time of course! It certainly is a luxury, and I think HeartGold and SoulSilver will be a bit less excitable without it.

I do miss the radio, and even though it wasn't as useful as it could have been I thoroughly enjoyed using it. I can envision a DS orientated radio, where the stylus is used to find signal or alter the volume. Changing music on routes too would be a nice touch.

Yeah, the PokeGear Radio should return. The songs were nice too, it added some variety. More music is always a plus. Especially if the songs playing changed overtime, it'd give me more incentive to experiment with the radio. Buena should return too, it makes raising pokemon much easier.

Only if they have the sense to also use it as a 'Sound Test' function and allow us to play the game music through it.

It needs more radio shows, or the ability to play music from the SD card if you have a DSi.

I want it back with a weather channel. But you should all know why.

Maybe the radio turns into a TV @_@

Seriously, there hasn't been a single radio in the games since the TV got introduced.

I pray to god its still in, and you can play real musis on it.

Hopefully.

I'm surprised it hasn't been announced yet, the Poketch was already revealed by now before DP's release. I really hope they don't replace the PokeGear at all, but I wouldn't mind a TV version of these Radio Channels.

Actually, that would be pretty cool.

I would have to agree!

Yeah, imagine Prof. Oak talking while you see him on a TV screen. Nice....

I was a big fan of the radio, and think it has a lot of potential in the remakes. In the originals, lots of frequencies went unused, which could become devoted to programs like "Sinnoh Now!" The thing that could make it possibly the most useful is the fact that 1) It's always with you, unlike televisions in Hoenn and Sinnoh and 2) if the PokeGear is used with the touch screen like other menus, you could listen and read as you travel between towns, instead of having to sit through an entire broadcast without accomplishing anything in the meantime.

Of course, I hope they get over the cheesy and useless, if occasionally funny, random phrase generators used in Prof. Oak's Pokemon Talk and Places and People. Those were just wack.

"Rattata is oooh, sensually suave."

No comment on that one.

Including SD support to play music seems unlikely. I don't think GF wants older players biking along to "Boom, bitch! Get out the way! Get out the way, bitch, get out the way!" Especially if younger kids might be watching. A sound test might be more possible. There are a lot of slots, and I think only five or six of them ever get used.

Anyway. The radio returning seems as likely as Kanto returning to me.

I'd love to cycle around Violet City playing "Hey Mother Fucker" by Sovereign. That'd be awesome.
