PokéGear--What do you want in it?

So what features do you want the PokéGear to have? I wouldn't want all the Poketch features in it because some of them are just useless.

Item finder
Well, the Poketch has it, so why not? Why waste an item slot for it.

Vs. Seeker
The new trainers don't seem to be wearing them, and every game it was featured it had the trainers with them. I don't want them to limit rematches to waiting for phone calls, so yeah...

New Phone feature
Maybe just have notable NPCs on it, and Gym leaders to call you for rematches. Perhaps the trainers that have a second function like alerting you of department store sales should be on the phone aswell.

Enhanced Map
A fully rendered map rather than the bad looking LCD ones they had in the Poketch. Give it all the functions of the Town Map key item, aswell as combining it with the Berry Map and map marker features of the Poketch, except have the ability to turn said features on and off at the touch of a button.

Enhanced Radio
Maybe with the ability to randomly play songs saved on your SD card, or even make it part MP3.

I'd like to have the Day Care center on speed dial. Have them call you when an egg is discovered and possibly have them put it in your PC, it would simply save a lot of time, especially if you were off somewhere, rather than hatching eggs right next to daycare.

I'm fully aware this feature will never be implemented, however it would be nice for us breeders out there.

This would be great. I liked the detail of the key item map, but having it open on the bottom screen would be nice as well. Having different tabs for berries and marks would be a good idea as well.

Great idea as well. I really like the music in pokemon, but it would be nice to listen to whatever I wanted when I'm training my pokemon, or walking through the grass doing some catching.

I would also like to add:
Watch: This helped me keep track of time when playing the game, as i don't wear a watch in real life. I think we really only need one this time, either analog or digital. Not both.

Maybe instead of having trainers you beat in battle call you for events like rooftop sales (you have to make sure you find the right trainers), there could be a channel for advertisements for events like this. A couple days in advance, Goldenrod City Department Store could announce their sale through the radio. Or trainers offering stones could put an announcement up: "You want Fire Stones? I got fire stones. Meet Bob on Route 32 for details". It would be easier to have advertisements than to have to beat certain trainers, and more realistic too.

Agree with the poster above. I'd rather see a new shiny Poketch with more functions.

Although I'd like a mayor change to the poketch, instead of just a number for each app, I'd like a number AND the name of the app.
