Well, here we go again. :-D

Welcome to my club. Join if you want to bow to my will and do everything that I say!!:-D Just kidding.

Anyhow, if you're of age (17+) and love Pokémon, then PM me and sign up. The current roster for BMGf includes myself, Kaz, Kasumi Chan, Muyotwo, and BenRG. And that's all I can remember.^^

Today's discussion topic is the games. What do you own, want to own, and play regularly? I have Gold and Yellow. I preordered Ruby and Sapphire from Amazon. I also plan on buying Crystal from Amazon, since they have it for only $11. ^^

Can anyone tell me what the differences between Ru/Sa and the other games are?
 
I was wondering if you were gonna put this here. I was Digibrat726, and I used to be a member. I have Yellow and Silver. I play Silver the most. Differences? Where do I begin? There's the 2-on-2 battles, pokeblocks, contests, characteristics, personalities, and the secret hideout thing.

What exactly is a 'pokeblock'? Damn, I have got to get a guidebook on how to play these games.
 
Pokeblocks are the English name for Poroks. You get Poroks by blending Berries that you find. They increase the stats for contests, but they can also be Sour, Bittter,etc. and pokemon will react to them according to their tastes. I'll fix sig now.

There are 43 berries and some of them can be used to make Pokeblocks.

Hey, Barb! I didn't know that you had actually restarted the club! It is great to be back! Hi to everyone!

Okay, crazed spam aside, I just want to say that it is nice that (after the disaster at serebiiforums.com and blackballing by a forum that shall remain nameless) PokéManiacs Anonymous has finally got a new clubhouse. :)

Flare-Espeon... Did you say forty-three berries? :eek: Anyone out there got a list of them and what they do?

I'm so happy about it. It's great to have a new clubhouse here at BMGf.

About the games I have, they are: Yellow, Silver and Crystal. And appart from them are Pinball and TCG for GameBoy. My brother and I are going to order Ruby and Saphire via Amazon. I really can't wait to have those games. :D

I'll be picking up Ru/Sa after they've been generally released, I think... I have to buy a GBA for kurai, and the two games... wow, I'd better start saving o_o;;;.
 
Include an e-reader and a link cable, cuz you'll need them. New features. I don't think I'll have enough money, though. You might want to wait to get the e-reader because Ru/Sa comes with a $10 discount on it.
 
Okay, I'm in. Pokemaniac Ledian_X ready for duty by request of Kasumi Chan! Anyway, I don't have any pokemon games per se. I used to play roms. But, I vow to buy the cartridge Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire and the upcoming Game boy player. I dunno how I'll be able to trade with that.

Oops! I forgot to answer Barb's question in my return announcement post. :sweat: Anyway, right now, I'm playing Blue-, Red- and Yellow-version of the game.

Yes, you read that right.

I'm actually playing Yellow-version, but I'm simultaneously playing Blue- and Red-version so I will be able to complete my Pokédex. In these parts, there are very few people willing or able to trade with a 28-year-old man, so I have to make my own allies. :p

I might buy Ruby- and Sapphire-versions when they come out (which probably won't be until the middle of this year in the UK). My main next buy though is a Ru/Sa-version walkthrough book including a Pokédex with all the new Pokémon in it. I need that information for my fanfics. :)
 
Oh, I forgot to mention that I'll definitely get the GCN pokemon game because that's how we're gonna get the old pokemon not in R and S. That's gonna be cool because the ledian will come back to my team. Hmm, I'll have to make a new team too. Here are my teams from the past games:


Red/Blue: Beedrill, Charizard, Vaporeon, Sandslash, Pidgeot and Raichu

Yellow: Pikachu, Butterfree, Pidgeot, Charizard, Sandslash and Poliwrath

G/S/C: Ledian, Typhlosion, Politoed, Ampharoa, Noctowl and Sneasel


I played the Japanese games and I think I have a few contenders in tailow's evolution, bashamo and that electric lizard. We'll see though. It's going to be like playng the games like new again. Getting used to these new pokemon and awaiting word from old friends.

Lol... same here. XD... Luckily for me I have a brother who's crazy about video games, so we trade between versions. ^^; I have Yellow, Silver and Crystal and he has Red and Gold. Probably I'll get Ruby and he'll get Sapphire. :D

But now the selfish brat wants to sell his old N64 and I haven't finished doing some stuff in Pokémon Stadium 1 & 2... Not fair.... ;_;

Well, today's the 4th, so....only 14 more days 'til the DVD/VHS release of the 4th movie in the US. And only 15 more days 'til Ru/Sa are released in the US! :-D
 
Never played them before. I would like Snap, but only because I'm surrounded by photographers in my family.
