'Pokémon 151' brand to cater to adults: Official Web site to open Thursday

The Pokémon Company has announced Pokémon 151, a new brand intended for adult Pokémon fans. An official Web site opens Thursday, and Japanese Pokémon Center stores have begun selling four types of stylized T-shirts. In addition, a Diamond and Pearl battle tournament for ages 15 and up will be held at the Tokyo store July 4.

Those actually look pretty good. I'm suprised, since I was expecting some kind of mess-up, like many things do when they take an "adult" or "dark and edgy" side.

lol Hypno shirt. I was hoping that something like this would come along. The only reason I don't wear Pokemon T-shirts is because they often look ugly and are a blatant advertisement of the show or games (though i wouldn't mind wearing a shirt/hoodie covered with screenshots from the games)

I'm wonderign though, its called Pokemon 151....

Does that mean everything from generation 2 onwards is excluded? I hope that they're not under the impression that all the veteran fans are fans of Kanto (or Johto) only.

These shirts are really cool, and I'm glad that Pokemon is finally going the "nostalgia" route like a bunch of 80s kid shows and video games.

Of course, Hypno is no longer just content with eating dreams, now he has to disturb mine.
 
Its not so much as going to the nostalgia route, but as to catering to their older fans, and its about time that they started paying attention to our wallets again!

I want a Palkia on my pants. They should expand past T-shirts since hoodies are awsome.

I said pants, not underpants. Also, Wobbuffet, a way better phallic symbol, would be awsome on a T-shirt.
 
I hope they bring this out internationally. Making a deal with Hot Topic, Macy's, or something to sell them would work. (The designs already look to favor more American Designs... which weirded me a bit, but they do look cool)

Even though it's early, I can't wait to see more.

I hope not either. (And I was wondering the same) I'd rather favor a kind of Cacturne or Rotom clothing. If this were America, I'd say that they'd probably lean towards that being true unfortunately. I can't speak for Japan, but Pokemon Red and Blue have that nostalgia factor with American gamers that would sell, but not as much the others. (Unfortunately, so I really hope that doesn't happen!!)
