I was torn as to where to put this post. I hope this forum is appropriate enough.

Does anyone remember the website "Pokémon Abode"? I went there frequently in the early Red/Blue and Gold/Silver days. I remember the owner's name was "Raichupacabra". I have a picture saved somewhere of a mock-card he made, which had said creature on it.
I remember what the front page looked like, and that's about all. I honestly don't remember why I liked it so much.

He also had some decent self-made art with ideas new Pokémon. I just searched and found that they are on Serebii.net's "fake" list =3

Just remembered a great site! EAGB, Euro Asia Game Boy
http://www.eagb.net/
They had some obscure things, and reviewed games.

It was either Pokémon Abode or EAGB who did a nice walkthrough/ review of Gold and Silver when they came out in Japan. That's a big reason I remember these sites, is because of the Pokémon stuff.

edit: Jan 12, 2014: Also just thought to add Pokémon Picture Archive

I remember that site from right before G/S, when Raichupacabra made some fake pokémon (the blue thingy fith fire on its back, etc). Haven't heard from him in years, but I liked his fakémon concepts.

I don't really remember the site. It didn't seem to be that well updated had some anime stuff and gaming stuff along with news etc but for me I preferred to use other pokemon sites. I was a member of the forum but seldom posted, there was much less activity compared to the other big pokemon forums.

As for Raichupacabra after his own site closed he did post news for TPM. In fact when TPM (pokemasters) site died and was eventually resurrected. His news that he frequently posted was the only things we had. Eventually and I should go after the archives his news posts stopped. No idea where he is never knew the guy but remember the name.

I vaguely remember the site.

The Abode may not have been the most attractive site in the world, but it was of a higher quality than most other fan sites at the time. I think I remember going there for Raichpacabra's parodies one being a Budweiser 'Waaaazzup!' Spoof. And I think he also had a couple of original games, or hosted simple fan created stuff. I could be confusing that with someone else though.

Yeah he had news and other things, but like firepokemon said, it was nothing that BMG and TPM didn't already have. Still I think it was one of the better fan sites out there at the time.

I just remembered an amazing site, which I used to visit every day, but when the DS came out, it turned to crap:
EAGB!!!
Euro Asia Game Boy!
http://www.eagb.net/
It's all archived,
but I wonder if the forums are still active? I'll be checking after modifying the first post to reflect this site, too ^_^

edit:
Seems to be down =[
