STORY

Pokemon Academy: Dragon's Roar​

Summary: The story centers in Element Academy where students go to become better trainers, Coordinators or scientists. The school is renown as one of the best in the world and is famous for bringing up famous trainers from all over the world. The main character is Reggie Damon a young trainer whose easily the worst trainer in the school and the changes he goes through after meeting a strange Pokemon only known as Chigon as well as his battles with other students of the academy and the secrets of Chigon's past.

Arc Summaries and Storylines​

In this section I'll give an update on the story line of Pokemon Academy: Dragon's Roar as well as a summary for the arcs in it. There are ten arcs and so far nine of those have been written so I've got a lot of work to do, this section will be split in two different parts as well.

STORY LINES​

Pokemon Academy: Dragon's Roar has various story lines that had been developed throughout the course of the fic. While a person might think that the main story line is the life of the main characters in the academy well it's more or less so. The actual story line is Reggie trying to discover Chigon's origins and what it leads to, from this simple part more have developed, like discovering that Chigon comes from an ancient civilization that died thousands of years ago and that there's a group of people that are set on stealing Chigon and using it for their plans.

Aside from that one there are also minor story lines in the fic. For other characters we have Darren who wants to take Chigon from Reggie so that he can hunt down and kill the person that killed his adopted brother Roger when he was ten, that as well as the black mark on Darren's arm called InstaLink which allows him to synchronize with Pokemon and has something to do with the Dragonic Civilization.

Then we have Fin Wave a character that was introduced early in the fic, while he spends most of the fic just being one of Reggie's best friends in the academy he actually has a back-story, he's run away from home due to people always underestimating him and saying that he's only a strong trainer because he's the son of Lance and Lorelei, while running away Fin changes his name and hair color while trying to prove himself, his story line begins in the tournament arc where he meets his father for the first time in three years and is set on showing him how much he's progressed.

And then there's AD, a character introduced in chapters 18 and 19, he's a funny case considering he's from a different dimension, his story line is basically what he wants to do and when he's actually going to go back to his dimension but he also has a lot of chemistry with Reggie and is a mentor figure for him.

On the next entry I will give summaries for the arcs of Pokemon Academy: Dragon's Roar and what happens in them.

All right, I'll do the character list first starting with the main characters I'll only post Reggie for today but I'll keep posting the others throughout what's left of the week.

Character List

Main Characters

Reggie Damon: Reggie's the main character of the fic and is a part of the Charizard Flame Though. He's different from most trainers in the academy due to the fact that he isn't good at battling and very even likes it as thus he's teased a lot early on in the fic by other students. As the fic goes on Reggie grows more confident of himself and forms a strong bond with Chigon as well as discovering his role in Chigon's past. Reggie later discovers that he's a descendant of Raphael the prince of an old civilization known as the Dragonic Civilization an old kingdom where Chigon inhabited and that was wiped out by Shroud centuries ago.

Hometown: Reggie originates from Celadon City and as thus was sheltered most of his life, which is also the reason why he's afraid of woods since he was always surrounded by sky scrapers and buildings.

Past: Reggie was born into a family of four with his dad Ross, his mother Irene and his older brother Alex. From the time he was little Reggie could notice the differences between him and his accomplished older brother who got everyone's attention and was always better at everything he did, this mostly showed in the way his father Ross treated Reggie. When he was ten his little sister Carey was born and most of the attention was shifted over to her. When Reggie gave up on his journey after only getting two badges his father kept pestering him to give up on Pokemon unless he became as good as Alex but Carey and his mother kept encouraging him forward.

Seeing that his older brother Alex was starting to make a name for himself Reggie decided to go to Elemental Academy. Even though it was expensive Reggie had gotten a scholarship from the principal himself who told him that he could work the debt by doing multiple jobs around the academy but that he'll have the chance to go.

Miko: Miko was the first person that Reggie met at the academy and he really looks up to her as a way to comfort himself. At the start of the fic Miko acts more or less like a big sister towards Reggie and is always the one to get him to move and cheer up. As the fic goes on they both develop feelings for each other but because neither of them want to see what could happen they don't talk about it. When Miko is possesed by Shroud during the second part of the fic Reggie enters a state of depression and hatred that causes Chigon to evolve into Diabolo who proceeds to free Miko from Shroud's control but also causing Miko to drop to a coma. The two share a kiss before Reggie headed out to the final battlefield but they didn't go into the subject afterwards.

Jordan: Jordan is Reggie's rommate and pseudo best friend. While Jordan and Reggie get along the two tend to argue a lot due to their differences in personality. Jordan also starts to become jealous of Reggie because he's always in the middle of the action but doesn't enjoy it. Even through their differences though Jordan and Reggie still have a strong friendship and when Miko was possesed by Shroud Jordan was usually the one trying to cheer Reggie up.

Marie: Reggie first meets Marie in the first chapter but in truth he had been crushing on her since the first day of school, Marie and Reggie have a sort of on and off relationship with neither of them admitting their feelings for each other mostly due to Reggie's shyness and the fact that Marie is split between him and Jack. Marie acts more freely around Reggie and cares for him as much as Miko does.

Jack: In the beginning Jack was the one that always teased Reggie due to being weak and while the two have a pretty bad relationship at the beginning they eventually become good friends. Even after Jack starts hanging out with Reggie's group he's still indifferent towards him and his attempts to try and establish a proper friendship. While the two have a rival relationship Jack looks up to Reggie as much as the latter does to him though that's something he would never admit.

Fin: At first Reggie thought of Fin as just some crazy trainer; especially when he used him as bait for a Gyarados but after getting to meet him better the two begin to develop a close bond so much that they could be considered best friends. When Reggie discovered that Fin was Lance's son he tried hard to get to know his side of the story and why he didn't like his father but this all went to deaf ears. After defeating him in the academy tournament their friendship went back to normal and after the two were assigned to fight against Zivok's group Fin was always the one cheering Reggie on and even taking the place as leader of the group off of his shoulders. Overall Reggie looks up to Fin as an older brother and is willing to do anything for him.

Darren: Darren and Reggie were bitter rivals throughout part one due to Darren trying to catch Chigon and being willing to do anything for it. At the start of the tournament Reggie begins to understand Darren more and tries to reach out to him but the latter isn't willing to open up. When he finally hears Darren's past he's the only one after Valerie who gives him a chance and is willing ot become his friend. While the two only form a close friendship right at the end their rivalry brings them a lot closer and the only thing that pushes Darren to survive his fight against Zivok is the chance to battle Reggie once more.

Zivok: Zivok is hated by Reggie due to him killing Darren's older brother in the past as well as all the trouble he's caused; however he's still willing to listen to Zivok and knows that as a strong trainer he has to respect him which is the reason why he's willing to listen to his advice about trying to be less scared of his abilities as a Trainer.

Charles: Throughout the fic Charles is the figure that Reggie looks up to the most. He was the first one to tell Reggie about what he knew of Chigon and helped him out countless of times as well as trying to make him feel better when Miko was possesed. When Reggie discovered that Charles was the one behind everything he was completely devastated and shocked which is why he could barely get himself to fight against Charles when the time called it. In the end any relationship they share was completely destroyed though Reggie still felt sorry for everything that Charles had to go through as a kid.

AD: While AD is usually indifferent Reggie still looks up to him as a teacher figure, Reggie argues a lot with AD because of his training methods though especially when he has to dodge. A running gag throughout the last few chapters is that Reggie always ducks out of the way when he hears the word dodge something he was thought by AD and that saves his life in his fights against Zivok and Shroud. The two still have a very good master and student relationship and seem to get along just fine.

Valerie: Valerie is Reggie's cousin and is more like the sister he never had. From the first time Valerie is introduced their strong bond is shown. Over the course of the fic their relationship as close cousins is played for slaps sticks due to Valerie acting as if Reggie seeing her naked or sleeping in the same bed is normal. Aside from that the two have a very strong relationship and care for each other which is shown when Reggie is worried about Valerie's well being and when Valerie tries to cheer him up when Miko is possessed by Shroud. Another aspect of their relationship is that Valerie is the only person Chigon trusts the most aside from Reggie and that she enjoys to take pictures of the two.

Miko Sekai: Miko is the thrid oldest character in the fic appearing right after Jack. At the beginning of the story she's the only person that treats Reggie like an actual friend and always tries to make him more confident in himself. As the story goes on Miko begins to develop feelings for Reggie but can't find a way to show them as shown in the chapter focusing on her point of view. In the second half of the series Miko is possesed by the evil spirit known as Shroud who uses her body to control the actions of Reggie and the others. After being rescued she enters a comatose state but wakes up right before the final battle. At the end of the fic she agrees with Reggie in that they should keep the matter of their kiss as nothing.

Past: Miko originates from Olivine City. Miko has two sisters and one older brother and lives along with her dad and mom. However she, like Reggie is the odd one out of her family due to not wanting to spend a lot of time with them as to why this happens still hasn't been explains.

Reggie: Miko was Reggie's vote of confidence at the beginning of the fic and acted as a sort of big sister to him. She was just as insecure as Reggie though but hid it by helping Reggie out and giving herself hope. When she develops feelings for Reggie she tries hard to compete against Marie and feels jealous at times when Reggie is with her. When she was possesed by Shroud her true feelings of insecurity came out and pushed Reggie to do everything to help her out. At the dock before leaving Reggie gave her the pokeball holding a Pikachu egg given to him by AD as a way for her to remember him.

Marie: Miko's relationship with Marie at first is really shaky, mostly because Reggie likes Marie and tends to pay more attention to her at times. When Reggie falls into a comma due to being possesed by Shroud Marie and Miko are forced to come to terms with each other to find a way to save him. Afterwards their relationships turns into a balanced friendship where they look for one another.

Valerie: Valerie and Miko get along well with each other even though Valerie is always teasing Miko and Reggie about being together. Valerie along with Marie serves for support whenever Miko is worried as shown during the final battle when they had to wait for Reggie and the others to come back.

Darren:Miko was saved by Darren int he second chapter while she was being attacked by a pack of Mightyena. When Darren battled Miko the first time she managed to find some good in him after he allowed them to get Chigon and help Reggie out instead of finishing them off, this is something that carries out through the rest of the fict. When it's time for the group to decide whether they can trust Darren Miko is split into two because even though she knows Darren isn't such a bad guy she wasn't sure if he was completely good either. During the Christmas Special Darren and Miko meet in Olivine where they share their view points about each other.

And after who knows how long I finally managed to finish the character pages and am updating this. Thank god now I'll move up to the story arcs.

Darren Schifer: Darren is the main rival of Dragon's Roar as well as being the strongest rival Reggie had and the only one that he wasn't able to beat even once in the story. Darren is the main antagonist during the first half of Dragon's Roar and is always trying to steal Chigon from Reggie. The purpose for this is first inspected during chapter 15 where we get a look at his past and it's revealed that he met Zivok once and saw the man kill his adoptive brother Roger. During the second half Darren joins Reggie's group for the sake of getting revenge on Zivok even if he had to risk his life. As of the epilogue he's still not sure about accepting friends and is obsessed with trying to find a place where he can think alone.

Hometown: Darren was born in Pastoria City where he lived with his mother for eight years. When he turned nine his mom died of a disease and he was adopted by Roger's family who had been friends of him and his mom since he had memory. After his brother's death Darren left Pastoria and has traveled the world ever since then.

Past: Darren has never known his father and his mother was always working to try and support him. Because of this he spent all of his time with his then best friend Roger who was like an older brother to him. After his mom died and he was adopted by Roger's family he would always hang out from the latter and prepare himself for when he turned ten and could finally become a trainer. However during the day he was getting his starter he and Roger were attacked by a mysterious assassin in black cloak an attack that ended with Roger's death and that cause Darren's vengeance and future hatred to be born. While travelling through Tohjo Falls he met an old man that thought him the secret of the InstaLink a special mark that allowed his Pokemon to have better capabilities and for humans to absorb a Pokemon's energy to become stronger or faster through this he also learned about Chigon and the Dragonic Civilization; giving him a new goal towards achieving revenge.

Team at the end of the Fic: Charizard, Houndoom, Honchrow, Pikachu, Zoroark, Seviper

Relationships

Reggie Damon: Darren's relationship with Reggie is that of bitter rivals, while the two hate each other due to their opposing goals Reggie eventually begins to understand Darren more. However because of his attitude towards obtaining revenge Darren still acts cold and ruthless towards Reggie even taken a shot at killing him countless of times. During the second half of the series Darren acknowledges that even if he stole Chigon it would never listen to him like it did to Reggie and as thus asks Reggie's for assistance. At the end of the series Darren hasn't exactly become friends with Reggie but he acknowledges him as a good person and comrade.

Miko Sekai: Darren first met Miko in the second chapter after he saved her from a pack of Mightyena and while he was always attacking the group Miko always tried to sympathize with Darren and get him to open up towards the others. When Miko was possessed Darren finally decided to help Reggie free her and he was the one that encouraged her to allow Reggie to fight against Shroud alone.

Valerie Damon: Valerie and Darren became good friends or…well they got along since the two met. Valerie was the first one of the group to ask for Darren to tell her his reason for doing everything and she was the one that suggested that he joined the group and who encouraged the others to accept it. As of the epilogue Valerie is the only person who Darren actually talks openly to.

Zivok: Darren feels pure hatred towards Zivok since the day he killed his older brother. Because of that he has spent the last six years becoming stronger so that he could take his revenge one day. At the end after knowing his motives he understands the similarities in their situations though he’s still willing to take his revenge on Zivok.


Fin Wave/

Fang Drac

: Fin was originally introduced in chapter 2 as the guy that saves Reggie and Chigon from a Gyarados in Fin Island. After his introduction Fin starts to develop a friendship with Reggie and the others and eventually becomes a crucial part of the group. While he doesn’t do much during the first part his past and inferiority complex is exposed during the second part after it’s revealed that Lance is his father. During the third part of Dragon’s Roar Fin becomes the De facto leader of the group to take the pressure off of Reggie.

Hometown: Fin was born in Fourth Island where he lived most of his life until he was fourteen. After this he ran away and began travelling on his own till the end of Dragon’s Roar when he finally decided to go back to his original home.

Past: Fin dreamed of becoming a powerful trainer since he was a little kid, however he soon found out that due to both of his parents being Elite 4 members any achievements he made were expected by others causing him to develop an inferiority complex. After he turned fourteen he ran away from home and dyed his hair so that his parents wouldn’t recognize him.

Team (by the end of Dragon’s Roar): Floatzel, Gyarados, Terracosta, Samurott (stolen), Dragonair, Lapras

Reserve Team: Garchomp, Lanturn, Swampert (rarely used)

Relationships

Reggie Damon: Fin’s relationship with Reggie in the beginning is that of acquaintances, at first Fin would always treat Reggie as a way to fulfill his interest such as when he used him as bait for the Gyarados in Fin Island but after a while the two began to develop a closer friendship with each other. During the second part Reggie and Fin had a lot of troubles due to Fin only caring about showing his father how strong he had become something that ended their friendship temporarily. By the third part of the fic Fin takes over Reggie’s role as the leader of the group after noticing how hard it was on him and supported him to try and defeat Shroud and later Charles.

Lance Drac: While Lance is Fin’s father the two share a very unbalanced relationship, due to Fin’s discord at people thinking that he can only do things because he’s Lance’s son the two are always arguing with each other. After the tournament at the academy Lance offers to train Fin for the final battle and while he was against it at first he agreed to train with his father. By the end of the fic his relationship with Lance seems to have recovered though Fin still prefers to use his alias instead of his real name “Fang” mostly because it doesn’t sound as cool.


Jack Hartman: Jack was the second character to be introduced in Dragon’s Roar. During the first story arc he was Reggie’s rival and the person that always bullied him causing him to lose confidence in himself. After Reggie and Chigon defeated Jack in battle he began to slowly form part of the group and create a friendship with the others and though he doesn’t want to admit it Jack holds each and everyone of his friends close to him. Halfway through the third part Jack loses sight of his right eye and has to go through regeneration treatment to recover it. At the end of Dragon’s Roar his eyes has been fully regenerated though.

Hometown: Jack was born in Castelia City but after his parent’s divorce he and his mom moved to Jubelife in Sinnoh where Jack has lived most of his life

Past: Jack is the youngest member of a family of son and is the brother of Cheren a Pokedex Holder from Unova. Like Cheren Jack is a great strategist and tends to keep things to himself, however, he tends to get carried away and makes fun of people when they fall for his strategies. When he was only two years old his mother and father separated and he started leaving with his mother while Cheren stayed with their father. After spending his life to become a strategist Jack decided to go to the academy at the age of sixteen where he met the others.

Team (at the end of Dragon’s Roar): Venasaur, Electivire, Zebstrika, Wargle, Glalie, Rhydon

Relationships:

Reggie Damon: Jack started out as Reggie’s occasional bully, constantly teasing and embarrassing him in front of others to prove his superiority. After Reggie obtained Chigon and defeated Jack for the first time Jack began to warm up to Reggie and a friendship started to be formed. While the two didn’t have a lot of chances to interact after Jack joined the group it is shown various times that Reggie holds Jack’s strategic sense to high regards and respects him a lot.

Marie Lilly: Jack has displayed feelings for Marie since early in the fic; though he is not able to tell her how he really feels he is really protective of her and tends to blush when someone points out that he likes her which is often used by the group as a way to make him mad. While Marie feels the same way he is either not able to notice or not sure about how to respond.

Incendio: The two only met properly and it was when they had to battle but even though Incendio was one of Zivok’s lackeys Jack was able to connect with him due to their similarities in strategy. Because of this Jack considers Incendio as his most powerful contender and wishes to battle with him again.

Marie Lily: Marie was introduced in the first chapter as Reggie’s love interest. While she is always kind hearted and sweet she shows a powerful side of herself when she battles ending up in levels equal to Fin and Jack. During the first half Miko becomes angry at Marie due to Reggie having feelings for her but as the two start to relate they become closer. During the tournament arc Marie battles against Reggie in the first round before losing it is also revealed that she’s the daughter of the late Saturn and Mars two ex Team Galactic members. Marie stays out of the heat of battle in the third part; serving as support instead.

Hometown: Marie comes from Flaoroma town where she lives with her adoptive parents not much is known about her life in the town aside from the fact that she was well liked by the townspeople.

Past: Not much is known about Marie’s past aside from the fact that she’s the daughter of Saturn and Mars. She lived with her mother until she was eight when her mother decided to pay for the crimes she had committed and was sent to prison for ten years, ever since then Marie lived with an adoptive family and tried to forget about her past. She still keeps the Pokémon given to her by her mom and aunt before they were sent off though.

Team (at the end of Dragon’s Roar): Roserade, Skuntank, Purugly, Magnezone, Cherim

Relationships

Reggie Damon: Reggie and Marie start out as the usual crush relationship with Reggie not being able to display his feelings for Marie. During the second part Marie reveals that she knows about Reggie liking him and kisses him; however she’s not able to decide between him or Jack. By the end of the fic Reggie seems to have lost most of his attraction towards Marie and Marie in turn seems to have picked Jack; even through this the two still keep a strong friendship with each other.

Miko Sekai: Miko and Marie start off with a one sided rivalry on Miko’s side due to Marie obtaining Reggie’s interest. After Reggie ended up in the hospital due to Shroud’s influence Marie and Miko battle against Darren to try and retrieve Chigon so as to allow it’s healing ability to link with Reggie and get him to wake up. After this event the two begin to develop a friendship so much that Marie is willing to support and help Miko when she’s having trouble about her feelings for Reggie.

Jack Harman: Marie harbors feelings for Jack and is really fond of him often hanging out around him or worrying about his well being. Even though she knows that Jack also has feelings for him she’s still undecided between him and Reggie. By the end of the fic she seems to have picked him but is still indecisive whether she should tell him or not.

Jordan Matthews: Jordan was introduced in the first chapter as Reggie’s new roommate while the two get off on the wrong foot Jordan is able to get along with Reggie in a short time. His role in the fic is a minor one compared to the others and while he may not get a chance to show off as much as the rest of the cast Jordan is still a very strong battler which is shown in his battle against Neptune and Incendio where he manage to take out two of their Pokémon at once and a very good friend of the group. He is the only one missing in the final battle due to him being injured after stalling Incendio, Neptune and Zivok.

Hometown: Jordan’s originally from Jubelife City where he grew up all of his life, because of this he has develop a cocky and city boy personality which is what sets him apart from Jack, Fin or Darren since the others are able to adapt to their surroundings. He shares his aspect of not adapting with Reggie though.

Past: Not much is known about Jordan’s past aside that he’s had a normal life in Jubelife and is an only child.

Team (at the end of Dragon’s Roar): Swadloon (got it from a trade with Reggie), Gengar, Buizel, Hitmonlee, Drillbur

Relationships

Reggie Damon: Reggie and Jordan are roommates and while they start off by having a bad relationship the two begin to get along quickly. Jordan tends to joke around with Reggie a lot causing the two to argue but when push comes to shove they always help each other and work together without any regrets.

Fin Wave: Jordan and Fin hang out a lot together due to having similar personalities; however Fin is usually the one that always has to look over Jordan.

Valerie Damon: Since she first joined the academy Jordan showed feelings for Valerie; unfortunately every time he tried to impress her he’ll always fail and Valerie herself never showed a lot of reciprocation towards his feelings.

Valerie Damon: Valerie was originally introduced in part 2 of Dragon’s Roar. She’s Reggie’s cousin and the two share a rather…unusual relationship. Valerie is always kidding around and falling into inappropriate situations with Reggie as a joke a fact that’s strengthen by the fact that they were each other’s first kiss (by accident) while mostly serving as comedy relieve Valerie is great support for the group and is usually the one that everyone goes to when they want help. She also has a habit of carrying her camera around and taking pictures of everything new she sees and was born on the same day as Reggie.

Hometown: Valerie is from Fuchsia City where she lived with her mom, dad and he brother Joseph. Not a lot is known about how Valerie lives her life at home aside from the fact that she usually spends most of her time taking pictures around the Safari Zone.

Past: Valerie lived a pretty normal past she first got interested in pictures after going to the Safari Zone and seeing all the people taking pictures. It is implied that taking pictures is just one part of her dream and that she wishes to travel around the world and take pictures of all the beautiful sights.

Pokémon (at the end of Dragon’s Roar): None in times of dire need she usually borrows Pokémon from her friends.

Relationships

Reggie Damon: Valerie is Reggie’s cousin and the two have a pretty close bond and treat each other like brother and sister. One of the things that annoys Reggie though is that barely is always joking around about turning their relationship into another sense and even though he knows she’s joking he can’t help but feel annoyed by it something that makes Valerie proud. In the end she really cares a lot for her cousin and is willing to do anything to help him out.

Miko Sekai: Miko and Valerie became friends after Valerie began attending the academy while the two didn’t have a lot of time to spend together they get along pretty well and their personalities are alike.

Darren Schifer: Valerie started breaking through Darren’s shell since the two met in chapter 17 something that is shown in detail when Darren tells Valerie his story. The two develop a pretty close friendship and she becomes a source of trust for Darren and the only one he actually pays attention to, whether either of them has feelings for the other is still unknown though.

Supporting Characters:

Brendan Birch: Brendan’s the battle class teacher for the second and third years and the headmaster of the Charizard Flame dorm; he’s a sort of mentor figure to Reggie and the rest of the group and is the most experienced teacher next to Agatha. He’s a Pokedex Holder and stays in contact with other holders to call when he needs their help. While Brendan doesn’t do much on his own he is a powerful trainer and is always ready to help the school. He is later put in charge of training Jack when the final battle approached along with Cheren.

Agatha Noir: Agatha is an ex Elite 4 member who decided to teach at Elemental Academy after retiring. She’s the Houndoom Dark headmaster and is the Strategy teacher she’s usually kind to her students but always corrects them when they address her formally; mostly because it makes her feel old. Agatha was shown to be just as strong as Brendan but with lacking skills due to her age. She is assigned to train Darren later on so that he’ll be strong for the final battle against Shroud and Charles. At the end of Dragon’s Roar she retires from teaching leaving the Houndoom Dark dorm unattended.

Maria Rose: the Contest Teacher and headmaster of Roserade Nature dorm not much is known about her aside from the fact that she’s a calculating trainer and is stronger than she looks.

Scott Grayson: He’s the Battle class teacher for the first years and is the Pikachu Thunder dorm he’s defined as a musclehead and tends to pick favorites. At the beginning of Dragon’s Roar he always takes Jack’s side and is one of the people that treats Reggie like a loser usually being scolded by Brendan for that. He has a rivalry with Brendan due to being less popular than him and his dream seems to be in charge of the second and third year classes which he states as being more “competent” than first years.

AD: AD is the mysterious trainer that dropped from the sky one day, not much is known about him aside from the fact that he comes from a different universe and was brought there by Palkia. He forms a rivalry with Zivok and is usually the only one that can take him down with ease. During the third part of the story he becomes Reggie’s master in battling and swordsmanship, teaching him how to fight and dodge blows so that he’ll be ready to face Zivok.

Lucas Diamond: Lucas is the Sinnoh Region champion and is a Pokedex Holder just like Brendan, he first visits the academy in part 2 along with Lance where he defeats Incendio and Neptune along with AD. He is shown to control the power of Aura which he used to help Darren control the InstaLink.

Lance Drac: Lance is the Kanto and Johto league champion and is Fin’s father. He first make an appearance during the tournament arc after he decides to recover his son. While originally treating Fin as a weak kid he eventually accepts his growth and allows him to act as he sees fit.

Raphael: Rafael was Chigon’s old master back during the time of the Dragonic Civilization, at first he was thought to have died after his fight against Shroud but it is revealed in the Epilogue that he lived a long life and his spirit was eventually sealed inside of Chigon.


Antagonists

Charles Goodwin: Charles appeared for the first time in chapter one where he was the one to explain to Reggie about Chigon. For the course of the fic Charles served as a mentor and guide for the group and was always interested in the new discoveries that Reggie made about Chigon. By the end of the third part Charles reveals that he’s Zivok’s brother and a descendant of Shroud and that he was planning on using Chigon’s power of darkness to revive the evil Dragon of Shroud. Charles then becomes the main antagonist of the final battle and is killed in chapter 49 by Reggie and Cielgon after his existence is consumed by the dragon.

Zivok: Zivok was the main antagonist of the fic since his introduction in chapter 11 when he was hired to attack and test Reggie’s and Chigon’s abilities. He is later revealed to have killed Darren’s older brother Roger when the latter was a killed as well as being a first class assassin. Zivok is Charles’s younger brother and he only fights for his brother. He is supposedly killed during his final battle against Darren in chapter 48 but is revealed to have survived at the end of the Epilogue.

Incendio: Incendio was introduced alongside Neptune in chapter 22 as two masked figures he was originally portrayed as a happy go lucky and sadistic trainer that only cared about battling. Later during the final battle arc it is revealed that Incendio comes from a rich family and after his parents got kid his family took all the money he inherited and put him in an orphanage. After running away from the orphanage he met Zivok in the streets of Goldenrod where he lived. It is revealed that he has a close relationship to Zivok and is a master in strategy and unlike Zivok or Neptune he doesn’t or even dreams about killing someone in his life.

Neptune: Neptune like Incendio was introduced as a masked figure in Chapter 22. He’s originally portrayed as the calm and collected of the two and always calls out to Incendio so that he calms down. During the final battle arc it is revealed that Neptune ran away from a good life due to it being too boring and he’s actually a cold hearted and sadistic man. He fights against Fin during the final battle and is killed when Fin kicks him with spiked boots through his chest, his Samurott is also stolen by Fin after his death.
