So is this the whole Advance series (as in Advance, Advance Challenge, Advance Battle, and Battle Frontier)? Or just the Advance season? Either way, I'm looking forward to it, as it means I can finally replace my aging and somewhat rickety Advance series DVDs with fresher and high-quality ones. And even if it's just the first season, that'll mean others will follow in due time. When that happens, it'll also free up a lot of space in my media cabinet, since I'm starting to run out of room.

Does this mean we're gonna get big box sets for all the seasons/sagas/series ???

Because if so, I kinda feel like a sucker for investing in those DP sets (and getting folks to get me some as Christmas & birthday presents)...

Well, they won't get to the DP series at this rate for at least another year, possibly even two years, so I wouldn't feel bad about getting those DP sets. They weren't too expensive and while they take up a bit more space, it's better than waiting years for a single season set.

I am pretty happy to see that they are re-releasing the AG seasons now. I was worried if they'd only re-release the original series, The Johto seasons definitely needed a re-release, but so do the AG seasons. I have Advanced and Advanced Challenge on DVD and Advanced Battle on iTunes, but getting those seasons on DVD would be nice. That way, I'd have the first three series on DVD. It's going to take awhile for them to get to Advanced Challenge and Battle, but it's still good that people can get the first season of Advanced too. Those box sets have been long out of print.
