Ok so it's not supposed to be out until next week but I found some at my B&N today. The employee who checked me out asked if I'd come just for that because she'd only put it on the shelf an hour ago, and I said no, I was surprised to see it because the release date isn't until later and she wondered if she wasn't supposed to put it out yet.
Anyway! First off I can tell you something that will piss some of you off--the picture of the artists this time has Latias in her human form using "Electrode" against Frontier Brain Spenser's "Swalot". Although there's some hilarity because Kusaka bemoans being unable to play Johto on his DS and talks about the upcoming GS remakes.
I didn't notice any glaring translation errors, but Cyrus's speech seems more...typical than it did last volume. Although I get the feeling that that's something only I would notice.
I still question the decision of the translators to name Dia and Pearl's inspirations after comedians from the 1930s, especially when they bear no resemblance to either Abbot or Costello.
Dr Footstep...holy cow what. No seriously what.
Also is this the only canon example of Wake without his mask?
And I wonder exactly how Platinum's addiction to the slot machines helped her win the battle because it just seems like she put her finger up and made a slot motion while an opening just happened to appear.
Did we get a confirmation of her age before? If not, it says she's twelve.
