I'm actually not surprised Yellow is the top for the girls. She's my personal favorite and always seems to be a Dark Horse in terms of popularity.

Whoa, Mimi made it to the top 3 Pokémon? That's awesome! She is my favorite Pokémon from Ruby's team.
 
They should make the poll online based or something. The vote count is too low IMO. :p

Very interesting. Pretty surprised to see Ruby so high. I thought Sapphire would make it before him. Also, boooo how could Emerald be ahead of Giovanni! :complain:
 
I wasn't too surprised that Red and Pika were the most popular of their respective categories. I was surprised that Gold got second place since he's probably my second least favorite male lead, second only to Dia, who while not unlikable hasn't really caught my attention in the volumes of D/P/Pl that I have read. It's nice to see that Ruby and Yellow got up in the top five since they're two of my favorite characters and Sapphire is pretty nice too.
 
Red's victory was really obvious, but Mimi being the runner up is so amuzing <3 Milotic is my fav pokemon, and I thought that I was the only one who liked Ruby's Mimi. So good to be wrong now <3 I was hoping for Zuzu because for me Mimi was going to have only 3 votes XD

I don't understand how Diamond and Pearl are so high and characters like Crys (come on, shes THE capture pro and super serious gal!) and Sabrina (best villian ever <3) are so unpopular .3.
 
Urgh, me neither. Dia and Pearl are my least favorite ;x
and emerald, but that's obvious...

Unfortunately Sapphire personality is completely the opposite of her anime counter part May
So just because Sapphire is overwhelmed Misty, Doesn't mean May will do the same thing
Plus althrough Misty personality is almost same as her anime counterpart , she didn't get any major role after GSC chapter so It explain why she's at the far bellow

Gold at the top ten cause he's both cool & funny
Sliver is awesome
Dia at the top ten cause he can see through thing while acting like a dumpty person
U know I really try to see Yellow as a girl but without her ponytail I can't see her as a cute femine looking Girl

To me, I would've been surprised that Red DIDN'T win. But if I was given a chance to vote, I would've chose Ruby.
 
Aww, that'd disappointing. My darling Silver and Pearl didn't do as well as I hoped. Still decent, though. I'm surprised Diamond was so high. Although I like him a lot too, so it was a pleasant surprise.
 
I'm not really surprised with any of the results, especially for the Pokémon.
