I want to breath life back into the Bulbagarden Forum Roleplaying Games Area!

But I need (YOUR) help to do it.

I want to know what sort of Pokémon RPG people would want to see?

Examples:

Epic Journey;

Like the majority of people in the world of Pokémon you are a Pokémon Trainer. Having given up your 'droll existance', you take your first strides of adventure now! Captureing pokémon, collecting badges, competeing in competitions, battleing the elusive Team Rocket and building your reputation with other trainers to claim your dreams!

Cops and Robbers;

Cops

As a member of the PPF (PokéPoliceForce) you and your Pokémon companions are in charge of protecting citizens, apprehending criminals and halting crime as you are ordered. An important but commonly thankless job you make do treading through your nine to five grind trying to make the world around you safe.

Robbers;

You are a member of the elusive "Team Rocket" working your way up the chain. Lets face it your a bad guy (or girl) for whatever reason, you want money, fame and power. As fast as you can get it, you live in a dangerous world and the police are not going to help you.

Mystery Menace;

An un-known force conspires against you and those around you. The town/city you occupy is hit with a major disaster and is closed off from the world around you. No help will be coming, it is up to you! Find out why the disaster struck, who is behind everything and survive.

These are just examples, if you have your own ideas please list them. Peticularly if your interested in being a player in the game it'self.

I have roughly six pages of rules created, but I must re-arrange and build mission rules based off the game being played. The 'cost' of Pokémon for example is a big issue, as is starting gear. The rules are based off of Evolutions- Celadon City Blues but are heavily revised and formated.

Is this going to be a typical pkmn adventure like in the game, but with a little more mysterious things happening? Not only collecting badges, but other kinds of advantures (more dangerous adventures) too? I would like to play that kind of rpg, that on your way to the Pokémon League many unexpected things will happen. (I also like fantasy RPGs with Pokémon, and where you can fight too, alongside with your pkmn friends.)

If this RPG is like in the examples in the first post, I'll be:
Name: Satoshi
Appearance: A ten year old boy with black hair and dark eyes. He has a black T-shirt, jeans and a jacket. He looks japanese.
Personality: Wants to be the best of all Trainers. Sometimes he thinks he is better than he really is and gets himself into trouble. He likes his friends very much. It seems that he likes his Pokémon friend(s) more than any human.
Hometown: Masara Town
Pokémon: Pikachuu
Rival: Shigeru (if any one wants to play him)

The game can be based around one of the three examples I have expressed or if players had their own ideas I wanted to hear them.

Epic Journey includes Captureing pokémon, collecting badges, competeing in competitions, battleing the elusive Team Rocket (or if people want to play in a differant region replace Team Rocket with appropriate gang) and more. Baseically it would be in the same vein as the show, there is alot to do in the pokémon world. The pokémon world is more dangerous than it is made out to be in the anime as it is a production for young audiences they have to keep violence (peticularly permanent injury and death) to a minimum.

You can fight along side your pokémon depending on the situation commonly. Fighting wild pokémon or battleing against Team Rocket (or even just opposeing aggressive trainers). There are rules law-abideing citizens agree to when they become pokémon trainers but it dosent stop gangsters and dosent entirely stop human to human fighting.

If I can get two more players that want to play an Epic Journey game I will reveal my work for creating characters. Which will help people generate character stats, skills, inventory and starting pokémon.

On a side note, the game is not based off the 'real' anime/manga characters. So while the name Satoshi is fine you wont actually be Red/Ash from the manga/anime respectively.

Personality: Overconfident and overinsulting. He loves insulting Satoshi, and he angers him all the time.

Name: Disco Dave
Age: 40
Appearance: A middle aged, fairly obese, balding man. He wears a t-shirt and shorts.
Personality: Obsessed with being "down with the kids", he has a wife and kids but has abandoned them because he wants to go on a Pokemon adventure and be as good as all the kids he's heard of.
Hometown: Pallet Town
Starter Pokemon: Shiny Pidgey

Age: 13
Appearance: Thirteen years old, Nami has short brown hair, brown eyes, and wears a purple t-shirt with a koffing on it, khaki shorts, and pink rain boots. She always has a green backpack with her, with a psyduck key chain.
Personality: Quirky, cute, and a bit morbid at times, Nami likes reading romance stories and watching horror movies. She comes from a large family, and her parents are a former pokemon league champion and a top coordinator. Nami wants to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a coordinator, but first she has to train her pokemon.
Hometown: Valencia Island
Pokémon: Bulbasaur

Name: Kairi Hill

Age: 12

Appearance: Kairi is of avange height at 5'' 2''. Not too tall or too short. She weights 100 pounds. She has very long brown hair, going stright down her back. She wears a sleetless blue shirt, a red short skirt red and white shoes, and very long blue socks that go up to her ankles. She is very pale white shinned, and has light green eyes.

Personality: She is very nice and trusting. Kind to her Pokemon. But she does conplain a lot. Kairi really hates walking a lot. She likes to ride her bike instead. When Kairi loses her temper though, she's like a huricane, so watch out. But she is very fateful to her friends and Pokemon. Kairi loves anything that's cute or beatiful.

Hometown: Pallet Town

Starter Pokemon: Poliwag

Extra: Wants to be a Water, Master. She is just going to catch only water types, and enter the Water League collecting Water Gym Badges, and entering the Pokemon league with only water Pokemon.
