Pokemon Aura School - The Approaching Darkness

[The Anonymour]

This is an old RP that people seemed to like. I’ve Spruced (I hate that word) it up a little. If you were in the old RP, you still need to read the plot, as it has changed.

Plot:

Within each generation, there are Aura Guardians; those with the power to sense aura and use it to their advantage. Also within each generation, there are those born with the power of Dark Aura. The two sides lived in harmony for many centuries, until The Darkness began to attack.

The Aura Guardians became angry, and began to rebel.

Now, years later, it has ended with a war.

Your Role:

Aura Guardians must be trained to control their abilities and, once having mastered them, have a duty to teach the next generation.

You may either be an Aura Guardian, a Teacher of Aura, or a member of the Darkness.

The Aura Guardians:

Aura Guardians are born with the power of aura, and are able to wield it to their advantage. Their aura is one of the seventeen Pokemon types, excluding normal, dark and dragon (see below).

They have been sent letter via Pelipper telling them about their abilities, and that they needed to be trained to fight against The Darkness.

Teachers of Aura:

Teaches of aura are the Aura Guardians of the past generation. It is their duty to train the new Aura Guardians and assist them in their fight against The Darkness.

The Darkness:

The Darkness have the power of dark aura. They have declared war against the Aura Guardians and Teachers of Aura alike. Their abilities, however, are limited; they only have one. It varies between…

Moves: They are able to use up to four Pokemon moves, though not something stupid like “Wing Attack” if they have no wings.

Transformation: They are able to transform into an array of Dark-type Pokemon.

Spiritual: They are able to suck all light out of a certain place (Om nom nom )

The league of five:

The league of five are five, immortal dragons. Well… when I say immortal, they can’t die naturally. They have to die in battle. They have served the Aura Guardians for many centuries, and choose one to do the bidding of within each generation.

Name: Aisha Baroque

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Striaght

Aura: Electric

Appearance: Aisha has black hair tied into two buns covered with black clothe adorned with ornate gold embroidery. She also has a single braid lat the side of her face that goes down to about her chin. Her eyes are a faint, washed out purple that seems to change color slightly at times, but color contacts tend to do that. She's about 5', has incredibly clear and pale skin, and is strangely light.

She wears a brilliant orchid colored, thigh-length, embroidered kimono with a black sash, as well as matching purple sandals. A number of gold clips are in her hair, sweeping her bangs to the right, and various golden bangles and cuffs dangle from her wrists. She also has gold, lotus flower shaped earrings, and gold rings on each finger of her right hand.

Personality: Aisha acts rather formally, though not as much as the other Kimono Girls. She has a very mysterious air to her at first, but gets completely ruined once you manage to get her trust. She tends to be rather oblivious to insults, but that's because she tends to extract payment at a later time. She's not nearly as graceful as her seniors, but she has enough grace to be able to stick a bit of disdain in her manner when truly angered.

History: Ageha comes from Ecruteak City, in the Johto region. From a young age, she had admired the Kimono Girls, so when she was given the chance to train as one, Ageha happily accepted. Much of her time was dedicated to training her Pokemon and learning the customs and mannerisms of a Kimono Girl. Eventually, the others decided that it would be best if Ageha traveled about in order to improve, so they gave her a Pichu, and told her to get moving. As Ageha traveled Johto, she left a trail of wins in her wake, as well as a number of dogs[stalkers].

When Ageha first challenged the Elite Four, they laughed at her, assuming she was just a person trying to copy the Kimono Girls. However, they quickly changed their tune when she turned out to be a formidable opponent, though she still lost to them. Afterwards, Ageha returned to Ecruteak City. Her teachers thought that, while Ageha's battling skills were practically better than those of her teachers, her mannerisms were a bit lacking. Still, it was enough that Ageha could be considered a full fledged Kimono Girl, despite her scarily young age. Ageha then traveled different regions, before once again returning to Ecruteak to learn dancing, something that all of them had forgotten about until just then.

Name: Riff Harding

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight, but anything can happen when she's touched alcohol...

Aura: Ghost

Appearance: Riff is quite tall and muscular and has a natural tan. She has long poker-straight, ash-blonde hair and sea-green eyes. She wears blue ripped skinny jeans, gold gladiator sandals and a white halter. She also wears a gold belt that carries her poke-balls. As you can see, she dresses a lot more sensibly than she used to, what with minus the guitar and wings...

Personality: Riff has matured quite a bit, just not in the...right way. Riff used to want to be a rock star, but now all she wants to do is party like a rock star. She loves to party hard early into the morning and her life now revolves around booze and sometimes boys, but if they're being a 'downer' or 'clingy' they're ditched within seconds.
Riff is quite like a ghost in a way - her best form of attack is the element of surprise and is quite cheeky and playful and loves to prank others. However, she's most like a ghost in the fact that she can't be tied down, it's impossible, she has to keep floating around, from place to place, exploring new things.

History: Riff is from an incredibly wealthy family very well high up in society and spent most of her childhood in cities such as Lilycove, Celadon, Goldenrod and Veilstone, although Riff's family's mansion was in the Resort Area in Sinnoh. Riff was a very good student and got good grades without even trying, but got kicked out when she turned up two weeks late to school because she had stayed in Olivine City, where the sea stretched as far as the eye could see and the city wasn't snobby or uptight like Lilycove or Veilstone.

Name: Brendan Wallis

Age: 16

Appearance: Brendan looks like born fighter with an above average build, his also pretty tall for his own age from training in the gym. He may have some bruises from training with his Pokemon. His eye colour is semi-dark brown and his slightly fair tanned, Brendan usually wears a black tracksuit top with a Pokemon ball with a middle and black tracksuit pants followed by a pair of white and blue stripped sneakers.

Personality: Brendan is an all out going adventureous teenager who usually never thinks before diving into action which doesn't earn the respect of his teachers, but his fighting spirit never puts him down, which makes it very rarely to see his sensetive side or him being sad, Brendan can sometimes be a sore loser when things don't go his way but he only makes a big deal out of it for a moment before his back to his old self again.

History: Coming from Saffron where his parents worked at the fighting Dojo, they were alongside the offical gym, at a young age Brendan would usually run small errands for the dojo such as encourging trainer to train their Pokemon in the fighting dojo before challenging the offical gym, Brendan soon met a mysterious Stranger who had a Lucario with him and trained with Brendan in the dojo since the stranger requested it, although Brendan lost to the stranger in the whole training session the stranger managd to over come the gym in one run, celebrating his victory he gave Brendnan an egg which contained a Riolu.

Brendan later caught a Scizor which he found outside Saffron and used hi for speed training, Brendan's father knew that Brendan had fighting Aura in him and decided to take him to Victory Road for a test of survival. Brendan their traied his Riolu and Scizor with other trainers, on the last day of survival Brendan managed to catch a Poliwhirl and beat one of the Johto Elite 4. Impressed by his skill Brendan's father gave him with the leader of the Dojo a Hitmonchan before setting off.

Appearance: Ed spent years training, and it shows. His body is fairly muscley, and he stands at a little over six feet tall. He usually wears an anime T-shirt under his pleather jacket, which is emplazoned with stylized blue flames. He lets his blonde hair stay at shoulder length, and has a scar across the bridge of his nose.

Aura: Electricity

History: Edgar lived a normal life, under the loving care of his parents, his father a corrupt politician. His life was shattered when, at twelve, his parents were assassinated. He trained for years, and became a master of use of his Aura, electricity. He eventually became a bodyguard, hoping to meet his parents murderer, learning not to be angry at the man, as he was simply a weapon. He quickly got bored, and quit to teach how to use aura. He got over his failure long ago, though he still wouldn't mind meeting his parent's assassin and sparring against him.

Personality: For an ex-professional fighter, Edgar is a pretty nice guy. While he has a less-than-healthy love of fighting, he's otherwise a relatively normal otaku with a mild caffeine addiction. He likes to pass on his knowledge, and thus loves his job as a teacher. He hates people telling him what to do above all else.

Appearance:
May is a bit tall for her age, at least 6 feet. She's very slender and athletic. She has long brown hair that is tipped black at the ends. Green eyes are concealed behind her long bangs, but you can still see them as they tend to sparkle with darkness.

Black, black, and more black. That's what she wears. A jet-black t-shirt and jet-black skinny jeans are usually her style. Black finger nail polish coats her long nails and black mascara and eyeshadow give her eyes a more ghostly look.

Personality:
May is violent, preferring to start a fight instead of making peace. She's hot-headed and aggressive, making most people avoid her. She tries her hardest to be her best, but ends up getting frustrated in the long run. Mind you, she's always frustrated. She has no friends, for if she did they'd probably run away from her darkness. There is no light in her soul.

Although May suffers from depression and anger issues, she can have her good days, but those come by rarely and she is mostly seen as a hot-headed and violent demon.

History:
May was raised in the quiet town of Floraoma. Peace and quiet covered the area, May was happy back then, but everything changed when her parents were killed in a car crash while drunk driving in Jublife City. May was then raised by her grandparents in Lavender Town. There, May became more and more angry. More and more depressed from the loss of her parents. Unable to stop herself, she went into a violent rage where she tried to murder every town citizen. Of course, she failed and she narrowly escaped the town's police. Afterwards, she joined The Darkness and honed her skill of transforming into any dark Pokemon.

Name: Kenton Kagimoto

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Personality: Kent is a very interesting guy. He is rather kind and modest to strangers, and perhaps a little shy. But once you've opened him up, he's rather talkative and friendly. He does have a dark side if you annoy him, and will stand for whatever he believes in, no matter what. Kent tries to be the "older brother" of a group, doing his best to keep everyone in check and enjoying themselves. He enjoys listening to music, taking walks down secluded paths/areas, and fishing (Though he hasn't done much of that recently). Also, he is left-handed.

Appearance: My avatar - thin lips, small nose, brown, warm eyes, ruffled chestnut hair. 5'10", 135 lbs.

Shirt is a Black-and-White jacket, with an orange stripe across the middle. Top part and sleeves are black, underside is white. Simple zipper on the front. Collar is usually open (unlike avatar). Pants are Black with silver/white outlining for pockets and edges. Made of denim. Shoes are sort of gray/white with orange soles designing and black shoelaces/edges. Wears an orange wristband on right arm and a silver ring on left index finger. Kent's belongings are in a bag attached to his waist. Gray/white color with black trimmings/edges and an orange Pokeball stamped as a logo.

Aura: Grass

History: Kenton was born and raised in Alto Mare, Johto. Alto Mare is a city literally built around water, with rich history and culture. Kent grew up in the middle class, with a small house in a narrow street that went right up to the main canal that goes through the city. His bedroom was on the second floor with a deck to the outside. Here, he learned how to grow a miniature hanging garden of sorts, and became very skilled in tending for plants. He also fished and swam in the canals of the city. One day, playing in a nearby alleyway, Kent came across an injured Eevee. Shocked and worried for its health, he took her home and nursed it back to health. The Eevee came to trust him, and the duo became great friends. When it was time for Kenton to take a ferry to Hoenn and start his journey at 11, he brought along Eevee as his starter.

Kenton soon learned that he had some unique abilities. He had learned to grow his hanging gardens by connecting with his plants mentally and emotionally, constantly aware of how they were doing. Kent thought this was normal, but soon learned that it wasn't. In fact, he was the only person he knew that could actually 'control' in essence these powers. As such, he became very well adapted with Grass and Water type Pokemon. His Leafeon (the original Eevee he started with) was one of his best Pokemon.

Name: Garen Choat (Cho-at)
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Aura: Psychic

Appearance: Garen is extremely tall, standing at 6'1, with wavy, platinum blonde hair that falls to the middle of his back. He has warm, dark green eyes, and a slim, lithe build. His favorite outfit consists of a loose, dark blue, short-sleeved shirt, and a pair of blue-and-green jeans. He has a light orange jacket and tennis shoes of the same color, and usually has his hair tied back with a short, green ribbon.

Personality: Garen is...unique. He is very happy and upbeat, usually seen with a large, warm smile. He is a focused person, and can concentrate easily when motivated. He is very hard to anger or upset, except when his friends are threatened, and would do anything in his power to help. He tends to be overdramatic about...everything, claiming "If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing". This philosophy applies to everything in his world, including emotions. Despite his overzealous actions, he's serious about learning to fully contol his aura and has a great respect for those that can. He has no knowledge of how to control his aura, and hasn't tried very much with it, not wanting to risk losing control and hurting someone.

History: Garen grew up in Slateport City, along the coasts of Hoenn. He was a an energetic child, always out helping a neighbor or playing with the family pet, an Electrike named Stride. He set out at ten, with Stride at his side. In his travels he caught a young Ralts, and developed a connection with it. This connection made him aware of his aura's existance.

He has a passion for his pokemon, and battling, which has helped him deepen the connection with his partners. He found that he has a great interest in Psychic types in particular, and decided to specialize in them, with Stride providing some attacking types the others couldn't pull off as easily. He took the Hoenn gym challenge, but lost to the Psychic-specializing twins, Tate and Liza. This only fueled his interest more, and he was overjoyed to recieve his letter while studying under them in Mossdeep City.

Name: Devon Allen

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Straight.

Ability: Transformation

Appearance: Devon is 5"9 and is 178.4 lb's. He has a leen muscular body with a great tan to go with it. He has buzzed hair, green eyes, and always is wearing his uniform unless he is out with his Umbreon or just shopping. His work uniform consists of a red and black vest with a black wife beater underneath. He wears black pants with red stripes going down the side. When he's out of uniform he wears a black sweatshirt with jeans.

Personality: Devon doesn't like to interact with people very much. He is short and to the point and gets angry easily. The only one he really bonds with is Umbreon. His other teammates area alright but he still doesn't trust them very much.

History: Devon was a good kid when he was young. He was an ambitious trainer who had a great spirit and showed a lot of potential. He liked hanging out with his friends and battling kids he didn't like. Though one day he fell ill and his parents were lost at what to do. Then thats when he had the dream that made him see Dark Aura. It was a dark dream that made him scream out in his sleep but when he woke he felt a lot better and he didn't know what had happened. Though, he from then on was a bully and disobeyed all of his parent requests.

He then went on and started a journey of his own with an Eevee. He trained at night and traveled in the day. Eventually the Eevee evolved into an Umbreon. He met this person along the way with an Flareon that he hated. He saw that he was an exact opposite of himself and asked him for a battle. He beat Devon and Devon swore revenge on him. He then decided to find others who could see this Dark Aura. When he did he was pleased to find out they were in a war with people who say other types of Aura.

Name: Vol Cielo

Age: 13

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Straight.

Aura: Flying

Dragon: I would like one, pleasies. As for the reason, I think the fact that I am pure awesomeness is good enough.

Appearance: Vol has light, silvery eyes, with quite pale skin. His upper cheeks, nose and arms are sprayed with numerous freckles. He has pure white hair, that feathers out at the back, and his fringe reaches to the bottom of his eyes. For casual wear, he usually wears a long-sleeved white shirt, a black duffle coat, black jeans with a white belt and barefooted, although he has been seen wearing shorts and a plain shirt, short-sleeved. He's quite tall for a thirteen-year-old at 5ft 4", and weighs roughly less than the average, but he keeps his weight a secret, anyways.

Personality: He is easily taken advantage of. He would do anything for his friends. He is more susceptible to criticism than most people, and he is more emotional than most. He is a pacifist, to some extent, and he only turns really nasty when his friends are hurt. He doesn't hide any secrets from those he likes, and shares a lot. He listens well to any problems and woes, and tries to comfort them as much as he possibly can. Vol is coy and very quiet, and he enjoys a bit of silence. He's a daydreamer, and quite outlandish. He's vegetarian (xP). Sometimes, he can become somewhat irritable or snappy, though he only shows a part of it, as he keeps his emotions bottled up for the most part, unless he is extremely happy, sad or angry. He is a hopeless romantic, and gets quite nervous if girls try to make conversation with him or approach him, unless he knows them very well. Vol is actually quite intelligent, but everyone takes the opinion that he's stupid and clueless. He's a loyal friend once he gets to know somebody, but no-one really chooses to make friends with him.

History: Vol was born to loving parents - Aurelia Cielo (née Silverswift) and Leo Cielo. Vol was inconveniently given birth to whilst Jasmine was in the middle of explaining that if Aurelia gave birth within the month and went on maternity leave, then she would lose her job at the Lighthouse. It was a terrible shock that Vol came two months early, and of course, Aurelia had to go on leave because the baby wasn't fully developed yet, so he needed intensive care. As said, Aurelia lost her job, and it was up to Leo to provide, which proved tough, but the couple didn't give up. Vol grew up to be a perfectly normal child, and even helped his mother get her job back, as Jasmine took a liking to Vol and couldn't resist a certain look that he put on sometimes.

When Vol was on the beach beside Olivine with his parents, he tripped over a small object on the ground, which turned out to be a Taillow, which he had damaged accidentally. However, with no help from his parents, he nursed the Taillow back to health, and when it was time to migrate, the Taillow refused to leave Vol, and they stayed together. When the better weather returned, they would always play together, and Vol employed the nickname 'Amaterasu' for the bird. When Vol was ten, he whisked Amaterasu away with him, and together, they beat the Johto and Kanto Leagues, and he had gathered a few Sinnoh badges before returning to his hometown of Olivine, and receiving a letter from a Pelipper.
