I was wondering how Pokemon Bank will work with ORAS. Will you have to beat the elite four before trading to ORAS? Also, will we be able to send pokemon from ORAS to the bank, and then to X/Y?

Obviously they'll have to update Bank to access ORAS save files and transfer between them (yes, this is part of what your $5/year pays for) , but I don't think it's going to be anything more complicated than that.

Theres no real reason to add such a restriction. There wasn't such a restriction placed on XY, and I'm sure that if they had a simultaneous release it still wouldn't have been used. Access to the Pokedex seems likely to be the only thing stopping us using it again.

As long as you dont try sending a Kyogre/Groduon/Rayquaza(/Hoopa?) with their new moves over to XY, there should be no actual problem between the two.

Restricting Pokemon Bank is impossible. It's a separate application. You can move all your Pokemon into OR/AS as soon as long as you have a save file. That's how it worked in X/Y and that's how it will work in OR/AS.

Actually, its not impossible to restrict. So long as it were programmed to when a certain point in the game had been met, like it has been by preventing us with out the pokedex, unless you have a different definition of restricted. Because stopping the use of something unless certain criteria are met seem pretty accurate.

I can answer all of this.
-Yes ORAS will work with Bank. You can use multiple games with Bank as Bank and your game are separate and Bank just stores any pokemon it's given.

-You can access Bank after you've gotten your trainer card and Pokedex so no, you don't have to beat the E4.

-Pokemon from ORAS can be transferred to XY (this is why the no items in back was put in place so you can't trade mega stones)

-You can access Bank after you've gotten your trainer card and Pokedex so no, you don't have to beat the E4.
I really hope that's the case, as I have a couple of Pokemon that aren't Hoenn native that I'd like to have on my team. They're low level, so I don't want to have to wait too long to get them on there, either. But you're probably right so I'm worrying for nothing.

Don't worry, it was stated in Bank's terms and conditions and such and I doubt they'd change it for ORAS as that'd take more work and is pretty pointless when you can just have someone trade you a Pokemon at that level. That's the whole reason you have to beat the different gym leaders to get rid of the cap.
So you can have a whole team of Goletts! (that sounds like fun!)

I'm pretty sure that it'll work with ORAS the same way it works in XY. However, I wonder if they'll do something special if you transfer over a Pokémon into ORAS that was originally from Hoenn. Hopefully something interesting...
