Not sure if this is the right forum, but if you had to make a basketball team of Pokemon, who would you pick? I'll make my team later.

No flying types I think that would be cheting

Medicham

Gardevoir

Lopunny

Wiggilytuff

and Idk Infernape

^
Lol Gallade would probably puncture the ball or something :p

Hmm not sure about this question yet. I'll get back to it later maybe.

Let's see

Starting 5

1.Center(Milotic)*C*
2.Power Forward(Machoke)
3.Small Forward(Pikachu)
4.Shooting Guard(Kadabra)
5.Point Guard(Ludicolo)

Bench

1.Ambipom
2.Hitmontop
3.Poliwhirl
4.Marowak
5.Blastoise

Coach
Alakazam

Ref
Ninjask

I'm guessing a lot of posters in this thread don't really know much about basketball. Like how it would be a good idea to use Pokemon that can jump and hold a ball in actual hands. At least be bigger than a basketball.

Here's my Dream Team:

Center: Blaziken
Power Forward: Electivire
Small Forward: Infernape
Point Guard: Lucario
Shooting Guard: Machamp

Also keep in mind that only five players can be on the court for a given team at any time.

Haha. Maybe we should just use the Pokemon that Unovan Basketball players use in battle!
I would have to say:
Lopunny
Machamp
Gallade
Throh
Sawk
Hitmonlee

The unofficial names for Nageki and Dageki. No-one knows if they are actually the real names for them yet, they were found on a list claiming to be true.

Machamp hitting the ball with with four clubs, one in each hand.
I can allready see it...
Everytime it would take a hit:
Machamp: INCOMING!!
The ones trying to catch it: WhattaFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAA...!

Clubs? This is basketball, not polo. Or whatever sport you're thinking of.

While I used to play b-ball a lot with my cousins & friends, I dont play it as often now. So, with out going into all the positions (and while keeping a sense of humor lol), my current team would be:

-Haunter (go through all the players with the ball, literally)
-Hitmonlee (look at its freaking legs)
-Buizel (use Aqua Jet to do fastbreaks)
-Ivysaur (use Vine Whip to trip other players, shoot the ball)
-Ambipom (for some double-time dribbling!)

Now that I think of it, maybe Ghost-types should get a fine or something for phasing through players. & I know Ivysaur would be the biggest fouler EVER, xD

...This is probably what my starting five would look like, too, only I'd stick Enbuoh at Power Forward, and put Medicham at Shooting Guard (It's Psychic. Wouldn't that make it an unstoppable shooter?). I might also start Machamp at center over Blaziken, given the extra muscle and arms, although Blaziken's superior speed and jumping ability could give it the edge.
Other possibilties: Ambipom (would be a superb point guard); Breloom (the stubby arms might affect its ballhandling abilities, but it'd probably be okay); Deoxys (would sorta be cheating to use a legendary, especially one as versatile as Deoxys. The Speed form would annihilate everyone).

Center: Blaziken
Power Forward: Machamp
Small Forward: Infernape
Point Guard: Pikachu
Shooting Guard: Lucario

A team consisting entirely of Ambipom and Machamp. So many hands.

...Deoxys (would sorta be cheating to use a legendary, especially one as versatile as Deoxys.
I have no such qualms. Add Deoxys to my team. Probably speed form...
