Pokémon Black and White Versions Revealed: Gen V names announced early

The much-awaited Generation V games' names have finally been announced. ポケットモンスターブラック Pocket Monsters Black and ポケットモンスターホワイト Pocket Monsters White are set to be released for the Nintendo DS in Japan in late 2010.

Who else here is totally getting a Good vs Evil/Light vs Darkness vibe off of these games? I can't wait till CoroCoro and Pokemon Sunday revealse more stuff on these this weekend.

Personally I hope they don't do a good vs evil thing. I'd rather have both versions have Pokemon that are "neutral"- not Pokemon Good Version and Pokemon Bad Version.

Anyway, while the names aren't what I had hoped for (XD) and at the names sound like they've run out of ideas... the mysteriousness of those titles still makes me interested. Besides, they've had plenty of time to come up with the names and I don't think Game Freak intends to make gen 5 the bomb of the franchise. Let's see what happens...

... and I really hope they don't do a good vs evil thing.
 
MY GOD!!!!! Black and White!! As I've wished for since after Gold and Silver!!!! Ten years of wwaiting for those names!!!

Black and white is fine. It's gen V people. Stop complaining about the name. Classic is fine.
 
Awesome names. It's funny how such simple names are so exciting. I can't wait to see what information Corocoro and Pokémon Sunday bring.
 
After 8 years of overusing precious materials (Gold, Silver, Crystal... up to Platinum) I wanted sooo back they reverted back to colors. And I wanted them to be black and white. But I didn't see it happening. I still can't believe it. Best Pokémon versions names ever.

I'm glad that this is now confirmed for the DS.
+4 years of use to my DS, or more, as long as I don't break it.
 
I agree, going back to the classic of naming the games after colours is actually pretty nice. It even sets them up if they plan on making a remake as they just changed Pokemon Red Version to FireRed and Pokemon Green Version to LeafGreen.

It will be interesting to see if Pokemon Black Version has more Dark-type Pokemon version exclusives than its alternate version.
 
i like the names ive considerered these as possibilities since the original red and blue

anyone else think maybe light type is coming?
