Mafia Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Mafia - Day 4: Feeding the Flames of Firey Passion

jokes aside as a beginner they prolly just feel pressured to be constantly contributing to the game and ran out of stuff to talk about so they start talking about themselves lol
Oh I understand that feeling, as a newbie you feel the need to prove yourself and contribute to the discussion, and it's frustrating when you feel like you don't have anything useful to say.

that would be extremely awkward for you lol

but whenever the doc claimed the target it would be two people cleared assuming we can prove they got doctored
which also requires us to know you didn't get roleblocked :notlikeduck:
we really need to lynch mafia and hope we get a roleblocker dead or something because that would prolly make our coordination infinitely better

Imagine if the player I shoot gets protected by a doctor.
If I were the doc and proc'd the same person the vig was claiming to shoot tjan I feel like I'd claim? Not sure that's the best play as it'd put the doc at risk but it would also verify two townies... :/

No?? He just voted elsewhere at the time because he wanted pressure on multiple of his scumreads, and Bigfoot already had like three votes? And when he came back the Jinjo/Space CC situation made Jinjo usurp him as the top scumread, but he switched to Bigfoot anyway because he didn't want a tie because his used to ties being no lynches (which they even might be in this game) and no lynches suck.
Bigfoot had 2 votes at the time and not 3. Even if he did have 3 votes it looks like as if HD would know Bigfoot is not flipping mafia and wants to keep his hands clean by taking the blame off of himself.

Correction: Exlight asked for a vote count. I said the vote count was 4 votes on Bigfoot and 3 votes on me and you also confirmed it too and then HD changes his vote saying he didn't want a tie and how in the world could he miss our posts regarding the votes and even Caps put in the vote count how many votes there were on Bigfoot and me.

Right... But if he was planning to get towncred by helping lynch Mafia. And he thought you were town. Why would he keep pushing you? Yes Human would know role madness games are chaotic. But if you think as an Arsonist he would play like town. Wouldn't that mean he doesn't actually believe you regardless?
On the top line the answer is on the quote you responded to. For the last sentence I think he does believe my claim but wants to keep pushing me to get rid of me since arsonist wins when they are the last one standing.

He changed to Bigfoot at the end to make sure the votes didn't become a tie, not because they already were. And the fact that he did that like right at the least second while they weren't even tied kinda disproves the "keeping his hands clean" theory for me.

And even if Bigfoot only had two votes when Human first voted you, that's still enough to create some level of pressure, especially for a new player, so him wanting to put pressure on you as well is completely understandable when taken into account you were his second highest scumread and his first was already being pressured.

I'm talking about the earlier votes when it was only 2 votes on Bigfoot at the time. If the votes escalated on Bigfoot at eod while I only had 1 vote then yes it would look like he would want to keep his hands clean. In a hydra game I played during December this was one of the reasons on how I caught a scum player.

But that is. Obectively not at all what happened. So. Why bring it up at all?

The night is coming to an end oh boy

I think he does believe my claim but wants to keep pushing me to get rid of me since arsonist wins when they are the last one standing.

but why you specifically? If he believes your claim he could push to get rid of me. or find anyone else to push.

What are you doing tonight? By the way, what’s your favorite gun to shoot with? I can get you a really good gun if you’d like! Personally, I have always loved shotguns at how effective they are in doing the job.

Oh I'm just going to hopefully accomplish what I'm set to do! An important sorta hush hush thing. I was thinking a rifle for precision, but a shotgun is my preference in survival horror sooo (why would you have access to guns hmmm?)

In the night, the members of Team Galactic gathered in the conference room. Chatter was abound, and admins mingled with grunts as if they were one and the same. Everyone wore their Galactic garb - it almost seemed like a regular business meeting. Suddenly, however, the lights dimmed and everyone turned to face the stage. "Team Galactic!" yelled Cyrus, from atop the balcony. "You have come from far and wide to help us achieve our grand mission of removing that inequitous spirit that plagues our world and prevents us from progress! Tonight, we make that mission a reality! We shall take the necessary steps to solidify the creation of a world that I - no, all of Team Galactic, can prevent from future harms of justice and inequity! Rise, Galactic, and seize your destiny!

As the night continued, Galactic Grunts came out of hiding in every city in Sinnoh. They poured everywhere from the Game Corner in Veilstone, the ships in Canalave Harbor, and the cozy cabins in Snowpoint. Each of the eight groups stormed the nearby Pokemon Gyms, but this wasn't just a simple gym challenge - no, the Grunts took matters into their own hands. This was a coup. The eight Gym Leaders stood firm amongst waves and waves of Grunts, but it felt like with every Grunt they defeated, two more took its place. Eventually, the Leaders' Pokemon became tired more and more with the fires of battle, and slowly succumbed to defeat. In a single night, each of the Gym Leaders of Sinnoh had not only fallen in defeat, but lost their positions as representatives of the League and keepers of the peace throughout the region.

Spending the evening reading up on The Sea's Legend in Canalave Library, Professor Rowan was startled with the noise coming from outside the library. Peering outside, he saw waves of Grunts storming across the bridge and into the Gym. "Byron must be in trouble," the good Professor exclaimed, and he rushed to head to the Gym. But before he could get there, out of the corner of his eye he spotted a woman with purple hair that he immediately recognized. "Jupiter!" he exclaimed. "First you take down my student, and now you storm the gyms? What is this madness??" Jupiter sneered, as her eyes shone with fierce determination. "That brat was a pushover. His emotions made him weak. You, sir, are no different. Just older. It's time for a new generation to take control - a new generation that won't tolerate such spirit. A new generation defined by our rules - the rules of Team Galactic! I challenge you to a battle, Professor, if only to see how your sorry spirit is crushed with my ambition." Rowan, knowing he was not a battler, accepted her challenge, knowing very well it would cause him defeat. But, hopefully it could save Byron some time...

--------------------------------------------
Dear HumanDawn, you are Professor Rowan.

You are SInnoh’s resident Pokemon expert, and as per tradition, are named after a tree. You also give several characters their first Pokemon, and send them on a wondrous journey to complete the Pokedex. You are also old friends with Professor Oak.

In particular, your area of expertise is Pokemon evolution, and you have dedicated your life to uncovering its secrets. As such, you are the town’s Evolution Master. Each night, you can choose to evolve another player’s role (just for that night), which will make it unblockable, undetectable and unredirectable. You can do this by replying to this PM with Evolve: [PLAYER].

You are allied with the town, and win when all mafia have been eliminated.

Dear Jinjo, you are the Gym Leaders.

Scattered in all corners of Sinnoh, you are eight of the strongest trainers in the region. You each have your own specialty and unique tests for the protagonist, making sure they collect the traditional eight gym badges to qualify for the Pokemon League. Your group consists of the ambitious Rock-type expert Roark, cheery Grass-type expert Gardenia, competitive Fighting-type expert Maylene, lively Water-type expert Crasher Wake, flamboyant Ghost-type expert Fantina, enthusiastic Steel-type expert Byron, sweet Ice-type expert Candice and aloof Electric-type expert Volkner.

Between your group, you have many unique characteristics and cover a range of skill sets. As such, you are the town’s Jack-Of-All-Trades (JOAT). Each night, you can choose from one of three 1 x Shot abilities, 1 x Cop, 1 x Doctor and 1 x Vigilante. You can choose to investigate a player and determine their alliance. This can be done by replying to this PM with Investigate: [PLAYER]. You can also choose to protect someone from a nightkill. This can be done by replying to this PM with Heal: [PLAYER]. You can also choose to kill another target during the night. This can be done by replying to this PM with KO: [PLAYER].

You are allied with the town, and win when all mafia have been eliminated.

HumanDawn has whited out! They were Professor Rowan, the Town Evolution Master.
Jinjo has whited out! They were Gym Leaders, the Town JOAT.

It is now Day 2. The day will end at 11:59PM ET on Saturday, April 9, or in roughly 48 hours.

So did Jinjo's shot go through, or was there something that blocked it? I don't see why Jinjo would have shot Human.

She talked about thinking he might be the Arsonist? Nobody agreed with her but she seemed somewhat convinced by it.
I wouldn't be surprised if she shot Human and that also happened to be who the Mafia shot.

Huh, that's true. Human does tend to be a magnet for Night 1 kills, so I suppose it's not impossible, but, he could have been scumread so it seems strange he would be a target. ...well, I guess there's no one else who is largely seen as town though, so maybe it's not so strange?

There's no way there's only an arsonist in this game, right? That would be way too bizarre, even despite mine and Jinjo's roles being town.

Human was one of the players people were townreading most consistently, besides myself and Raven I believe; Jinjo was kinda the only person calling him scum? So Mafia killing him is not at all weird, especially with how good a player he is.

I doubt the Arsonist would be the only antitown; the flavor text has had multiple red colored names implying that Team Galactic is an organized mafia, with the Arsonist probably being something separate?

Yeah but I don't know, things could have easily changed. Since Jinjo was the only one scum reading him and mafia knew she had a vig shot, it seems like there could have been a different target chosen instead.

So we're looking at 2 scum and 1 arsonist probably, right

Yeah I'm not saying its the only possibility; Mafia or Jinjo coulda hit a doc or something too, but it is something that struck me as a scenario that mighta happened.

Two scum and an arsonist seems most likely to me as well.

Oh no! That's very unfortunate. Losing 2 townies is bad.

Space is claiming to shoot Jinjo (who was telling the truth about their role, sorry Jinjo) so Space's role is proven. They can't be the Arsonist in any case.

HD was either shot by Jinjo or the Mafia, or both.

Jinjo or mafia targeting someone who was protected by the doc is also a possibility.

If there's a Tracker or Watcher in game and they have some information, that would be great as it would help us further solve the game.
