To celebrate the release of the mobile versions of Pokémon Champions, an in-game distribution will be held from 17 June to 2 September 2026, rewarding players with a Raichu, as well as the Raichunite X and Raichunite Y Mega Stones. This gift is available to be claimed on both the mobile versions as well as the Nintendo Switch version of the game. It has also been confirmed that these Mega Stones "may become available through the in-game shop or other features at a later date."
It has also been confirmed, to nobody's surprise, that Mega Raichu X and Y will be available for use in the upcoming Regulation Set M-B ruleset, starting from 17 June 2026. Their abilities have also been revealed; Mega Raichu X gets the Electric Surge ability, which sets up the Electric Terrain for 5 turns each time it switches in, boosting all Electric-type damage by 30% and preventing grounded Pokémon from falling asleep; Mega Raichu Y gets No Guard, an ability that guarantees that all moves used by or targeting the Pokémon with this ability will land, also hitting through the semi-invulnerable turns of moves like Fly and Phantom Force.
