^ All but one track can be downloaded here (apologies if I'm not supposed to do that).

Anyone else a fan of this CD? It's the only dub music I really admit to liking, since it's just the cast singing (none of those random singers) and generally just having a good time. And the music's pretty good.
Nobody Don't Like Christmas and The Christmas Song would have to be my two favorites. Nobody deserves to be a classic, since it's so funny (although the references to Memorial Day and Yom Kippur are borderline offensive, I'll admit), and Christmas Song is good even though kinda sucks- you can tell it took Rachel and Eric a while to be able to sing in character, since their first few lines sound like J&J studied at the William Shatner School of Caroling while Meowth does all the real singing- or maybe I'm just a biased Team Rocket fan.

Anyway, given it's Christmas time and everything, I thought I'd bring this obscure tidbit up...

Thanks for the link! I used to have the CD, but it vroke and I was never able to find another one, so this is great.

I think the songs are really good, too. My favorites are "I Keep My Home In My Heart" (I think that's the title anyway" "Under the Mistletoe" and "Christmas Medley", The Pokemon-ified versions of all the Christmas carols are really cool and funny.

I like "I Keep My Home in My Heart," "Under The Mistletoe," and "I'm Giving Santa a Pikachu For Christmas," in order from most to least. "I'm Giving" is a really funny-sounding song, though. It's cute. The rest of the songs, I don't care for.

Is it really that good? I know a site with the whole thing and might download it, since PokéCDs have been impossible to find in Canada since PKMN2000's OST.

Well, I could download all the tracks and then put them on my MP3 player......

However, since I have every other Pokemon soundtrack that's been released in the U.S., I would rather own the official CD than just "downloading it".

It would be a very nice addition to my Pokemon soundtrack collection.

So anyway, I plan on buying Pokemon Christmas Bash very soon. I just need to find out which online site has it, and which place would be the best to order from.

(I tried getting this soundtrack from Circuit City, but I never received the CD for some odd reason - I guess they "thought" they had it on backorder/special order but they didn't have it in the store at all, apparently)

I love Pokemon Christmas Bash! I'm so glad that they actually released a CD that the VA's sing on, rather than just hiring some random singer. Eric Stuart even wrote one song! That whole CD just always brings a smile to my face.

xD I love that CD. It makes me happy.
I downloaded it all on Limewire, but the bad thing about that is bits of the songs just won't download...

so, thanks for the link! x3

There are some songs I like on the CD - like I'm Giving Santa A Pikachu For Christmas and Nobody Don't Like Christmas (and The Night Before Christmas is the most amusing reading of that poem I've ever heard).

You'd think I would like I Keep My Home In My Heart, but the idea of Brock singing a depressing Christmas song always either makes me sad or cracks me up depending on how I'm feeling when it plays...

Nobody Don't Like Christmas is a wonderful, wonderful song. Maddie is just the best in that one. And it's so in-character for Meowth. And I love the mention of Yom Kippur (it's not very offensive at all. Trust me, there isn't a single Jew that likes Yom Kippur, and we'd all love to get rid of it). Also, Under the Mistletoe has a nice tune. I imagine The Night Before Christmas (I'm always trying to type 'Nightmare' instead... I watched that movie way too much) would be one of my favorites if I had the patience it takes to listen to it all the way through. *hates poetry*

The rest of the songs make me laugh so hard... I mean, it's just so silly. I think it's because this is the dub we're talking about, mostly, and I can't take most of the dub songs seriously. In any case, I have deep mental scars from the Christmas Medley song. In the Twelve Days of Christmas segment, the five golden rings (or did they change that to something else? They probably did, I can't remember) line... I can't even remember who sang it, was it Stuart as James? That frightened the living hell out of me.

Really?

Meowth says something about Yom Kippur in "Nobody Don't Like Christmas"?

Hehe, that's so funny. XD

And with me being Jewish, that makes me wanna hear this song even more (though you're right, Demon of Light, Yom Kippur isn't a very well liked holiday by most Jews, and I don't like it myself, actually). ^^o

Lisa, I had no idea you were Jewish...
You still want that Christmas present, then?

And if anyone has the Twelve Days of Christmas, I'd like it. That's the one I'm missing.

By the way, Christmas Medley scarred me too- the James laughing at the beginning. Out of context, that is the most disturbing laugh ever.

I just wish I could hear "The Christmas Song" all the way through without ending up in fangirl squees over James...

listens to songs ... so, I get that Meowth and Oak can sing, but does anyone else actually sing on this list?

I'm... not sure exactly what you're asking. In any case, each and every one of the main characters circa Johto sings in the CD. Ash sings, Misty sings, Brock sings... Ash and Misty happen to sing the most disgustingly Gakishippy duet ever (oh man. Does anyone remember that it was available for download the year it was released? That was such a blast). Jessie and James sing-talk, which is more like reciting or talking to a certain beat with music in the background, which is what you do when you're William Shatner. Or anyone in The Nightmare Before Christmas. But I'm pretty sure Jessie and James sing with everyone in the Christmas Medley. *wince* Augh. The dreaded Christmas Medley. Twelve Days of Christmas will never be the same again for me. *sobs* And I used to like the 'five golden rings' line!

Yay! MUCH love for Pokemon Christmas Bash, for all the reasons people have already mentioned. "Pokemon Christmas Medley" is in regular rotation with all my other classic Christmas music. It's probably my all-time favorite English Pokemon CD, although 2 B A Master is right up there as the CD that started my vast Pokemon music collection. :)

BEST damn line in the whole recording comes from "The Night Before Christmas":

Ash: "And Mom in her kerchief, and Mr. Mime in my cap......and I think Professor Oak was there too..."

LMAO. Every time. :-D

TRAITORS!

By the way, which song was it Eric wrote? I ask out of pure curiosity.. on WMP, he's listed as the artist for all the songs.

Yeah, that always makes it intersting when I make and play a Winamp list of all the music on my computer, since Winamp lists artist first and I've always got my playlist on shuffle... this track's by Eric Stuart? Will it be rock or will it be a Pokémon Christmas carol? Who knows?

I usually expect the rock and get caught offguard by the carols.

He wrote "Pokemon Christmas Bash", as in the first track on the CD. Not so coincidentally, Brock is the first one to introduce himself in the song.

I <3 this CD. Pure <3.

Listening to it now exactally :). Though I'm supposed to be studying...>_>

Eh...Must Be Santa is a polka, right? Cause it has the beat...and I feel offended (my Grandpa = a really good Polka musician, well, before he retired - and this song is...bad)

But other than that, pure <3
