After explorers found the region far to the south, they tried to find out its climate and area, the general information needed for a new region before colonization. The climate was freezing, so cold that they couldn't get far enough inland to grasp any idea of landmark or location, and the first groups were only saved by what appeared to be an Arcticuno. Others found a lone hot spring, but little signs of life other than rugged Ice-types. Never giving up, an organization formed to explore the area properly, and with enough experienced explorers that they would have a good chance. Upon hearing this, some people made jokes about claiming their own Gym before anyone else; others simply brushed it off as another big company wanting publicity. You, however, are part of the explorers, whether you jumped at the possibility or did it for money. You are headed to the region that every surviving explorer has only called it 'Worse than the ninth circle of Hell.'

Your life in on the line. Don't screw around.

Name:
Age: around college level is the lowest
Gender:
Appearance: Remember, it's freezing cold any further than the coast. The coast itself is still cold, but bearable
Pokemon: it would be best to have at least one with a Fire attack, just warning. All I need is their species, nickname if it has one, and gender. Tell me if you have a non-fire type with a fire attack.
Climate Specialization: Because the company employing you wants to be prepared for anything, everyone is going to need a (different) climate they know about. Ex. Tundra, desert, plains.
Personality:
Equipment: Such as climbing pickaxes, backpacks... things that would be useful in the cold or needed to study your climate. Someone might want a camera as well.
Tolerance level: rate 1-10 (1 being 'OMG THIS ISN'T CALI 10 being 'Whaddya mean, 'frostbite'? It's only -55 out!') on how tolerant they are of things like the cold (duh) and food. One rating per person.
History: include their reasons for coming
Other:

If you think I missed something, point it out.

Now, for mine.

Name: John Frost ('Frosty')
Age: 25
Gender: M
Appearance: Has straggly long hair that is usually covered by a flame-patterned black-and-orange beanie, a white, waterproof winter coat over a black teeshirt with a large red crosshair over his heart, white, waterproof Gore-Tex pants, scarf, and gloves, polarized goggles, and white steel-toe boots.
Pokemon: Glalie (M), Walrien (M), Mamoswine (F), Weavile (M), and Glaceon (F).
Climate Specialization: Tundras, glaciers, etc. If it's cold enough to snow, it's for him.
Personality: Happy-go-lucky, he's always smiling, even when he's snowboarding away from an avalanche. He will never give up, no matter what, and is a good leader.
Equipment: Climbing pickaxes, a white snowboard, and bonoculars that can switch between thermal and normal vision.
Tolerance level: 10.5
History: A world-famous snowboarder and battler from Sinnoh, he was one of the first to enlist for the desolate wasteland of NC. During one of the first runs, he was the only one who survived, and that was thanks to an Arcticuno. He has since returned alone three times to map what lay within a mile of the landing site, returning hospitalized each time due to his unwillingness to give up.
Other: Due to his knowledge of the area, he is the official leader, appointed by the employers.

Name: A.D

Age: 36

Gender: Male

Appearance: A.D wears a thick red coat and thick pants. Beneath that is his regular attire, including his unique coat, all-in-all he hasn't changed much.

Pokemon:
Venusaur, Male.
Pikachu, Female.
Gyarados, Male.
Flareon, Male, Flamethrower and Overheat.
Snorlax, Female.
Aerodactyl, Male.

Climate Specialization: Having travelled around most of his life, A.D has had experience with normal plains (Kanto and Johto), Deserts (Hoenn and Orre) and frozen tundras (Sinnoh).

Personality: Friendly, but shy. His battle tactics include random, but effective, attack patterns in order to throw off the opponent. However, this tactic is rarely seen due to his lack of want to battle. He has an odd obsession with strawberries, actually being able to sense when some are near him. Due to his shyness, he will not approach people he does not know, but doesn't mind if people approach him. He will always speak his mind when asked on a subject, telling things truthfully, even when it isn't advised. When something perks his interest, he will observe it very carefully and look for anything out of norm, but if it doesn't, he will ignore it's existance altogether.

Equipment: A.D has everything for arctic exploration, as well as a camera given to him by his fiancé.
Tolerance level: 9, he's pretty much used to deathly atmospheres.
History: A.D's life has always been topsy-turvey, thus he's decided to come along on the trip to try and get away from it all, what better place then a frozen land?

Other: A.D's aura has been fully unlocked in a prior event, thus he is able to use huge amounts of it without tiring, due to his aura being infinite.

A.D has a fiancé back in Kanto, met between one of his prior adventures.

My comment: Anyone else find it amusing how A.D's gone in an RP by Sarcastically Insane here, and now he's revealed to have survived in a RP by Sarcastically Insane?

Haha, A.D. actually fits this RP well. My one complaint is he needs to be a bit more specialized in climates, since there's really only a need for one person per climate.

Well, Orre and Hoenn would indicate he's more familar with Desert climates, since plains are commonplace elsewhere and he's only been to one region with a freezing climate, aka Sinnoh. That a good enough excuse?

I'd say he's familiar with most but knows the most about deserts. Considering that the place they are is a cold desert/tundra/glacier/mountainous mostly, it'd be a good idea.
