Well its hardly a world tournament if only three regions are included. -_-

Who's the third? I see US and Japan.

EDIT: nvm I saw Europe listed on the actual site. Too bad Canada doesn't count enough, I mean regionals for US, not North America.

If anyone needs privy to the rules, they're on the second floor of the Pokémon Center. Just go to the far right, enter the Colosseum, and check out the ruleset under Double Battle > Double Cup. No "special Pokémon" are allowed, so I assume that means legendaries. Tyranitar and Dragonite are ineligible as well, since they can't be obtained legally before level 50.

Well they did have the level 50 dragonite event.

You have to have a copy of Platinum to participate? Kinda losertastic--not everyone who plays the game feels the need to pick up a copy of the third version. Two perfectly good previous versions out there...

Oh really, when was this? I usually know all about those!

Last year it was called the Video Game Showdown. There were four qualifiers, two in Japan, and two in the US, with a final tournament in Orland, FL alongside the TCG Worlds.
