This project has actually been sitting in my sandbox for months because I lost interest when college started, but it's to end soon and I'd like to get it off the ground and implemented now that I'll have time in the new year.

These are the templates in question that I've developed.

I created two versions of the move template, one each hosted in one of my sandboxes to be transcluded on the other. The version displayed on the prime sandbox is my preference, as I believe the horizontal grid and larger size of the grid makes it easier to understand. The additional move information present on this template and and absent on the other is taken from Veekun. Conquest does not display move power, accuracy, and the chance for an additional effect in-game, so this website is the only resource I have, barring someone able to hack the game to make sure.

The Warrior box is meant to be a replacement for the stat templates currently in use on the List of Characters page. It's in raw code at the moment since I can only put one template in one sandbox at a time. I was having issues with how to make the template left-aligned and set a fixed width, but otherwise I think it's good to go. No information is lost or added, it's just rearranged from its current presentation on the List of Characters page.

So, there are my projects, when the database opens up (hopefully soon) I'd love to polish them up and start putting them to use.

They look nice. Only a few minor issues I can think of:

- Tile grid should be larger.

- While it's true Pokemon Conquest does not show a move's exact power or accuracy, it does show the move's power on a scale of 1-5 stars. IMHO this should be shown (the exact power, if known, could be listed next to it or supplied as a tooltip)

- Not all moves with a blue tile in the grid require the user to move to execute. Most of course do (Flame Charge, Brave Bird, etc.) but Volt Switch does not (it will switch with a Pokemon if the blue space is occupied, and will still execute even if the blue space is impassable).

- Will do once I'm able to.

- That's done, the stars display below the grid on the one template and above to the right of it on the other.

- I'll reword it to "Blue squares indicate the area the Pokémon will move to upon performing the move".

Just gonna chip in and say, on behalf of the staff, we aren't ignoring this post Drake, just focusing on ORAS at the current time, they look great as far as I'm concerned but I don't deal with template creation. >< :)

I've started making my own version of Drake Clawfang's templates. I've got examples on User talk:Tiddlywinks/Conquest. It's intended to be less complicated to use than having to mess with picking exactly the right row/column and colors. Instead, you've got a few grid templates to choose from and a simpler set of parameters to customize them.

(All the templates I'm using so far are at: User:Tiddlywinks/Conquest, User:Tiddlywinks/Grid, User:Tiddlywinks/Grid/rows, and User:Tiddlywinks/Grid/columns.)

I've focused on making horizontally-oriented grids for now, but if it's desired (collectively), I could try to make them vertical. I also intend to polish up the "Conquest" template a bit when I finish with the grids. (I know it could use at least a little attention.)

I've finished up my templates now (barring any minor adjustments people might want) and they're ready to be used in the mainspace if staff would give approval. The grid templates can have a lot of switches or if's (due to trying to fit numerous variations in one template), but if only one grid will be used per move page, I hope it's not too much.

I'm not sure your grid idea makes things all that much easier. I do like the idea of making the class colors coded into the template, though, so we can just put "shift/push/attack" and the template will color the tiles appropriately. I'm going to attempt to integrate this into my templates. Also good move on adding in the sprites instead of the names, very nice.

EDIT - I underestimated you it seems. :p Looks like your templates can display every move hitbox, so yeah, this looks great. Staff have any comments?

Okay, I'm going to be leaving this project. I'm in my final year of college and will have real life concerns to deal with over the coming months, and do not have the time or energy devote to this anymore. It is deeply disappointing that there has been so little support for this. I was quite enthusiastic about expanding our Conquest coverage when I initially designed these, and given how much value is given to mainspace contributions here, I presumed my efforts would be well-received. But then after six months of reaching out to staff members and the community and being assured they're aware of this, only Tiddlywinks has actually done anything of substance. My enthusiasm is just drained. At this point, I really don't care anymore.

My thanks for the refining of the templates, Tiddlywinks, you did good work with them. There is the Warrior template I never got around to refining, also in my primary sandbox, feel free to adopt that too and do with it as you will. Should the project go anywhere, good luck with it.
