Pokemon conquest?

I got the game and its a pretty nice game. If you like slower, strategy-style games, then you'll probably like it. I would recommend it.

The graphics are decent (though the small sprite size does mean some graphics-induced super deformity). The distinctly feudal-Japan-sounding soundtrack is a welcome change from the main series. The grid-based strategy gaming works very well with Pokemon game mechanics (it's actually more faithful than Pokemon Mystery Dungeon in this respect). One thing that may limit you at first is that each Pokemon only knows one move -- but that's part of the strategy aspect, because it keeps each species dedicated to a particular role in each battle. For example, the Psychic-type move Confusion only hits from an exactly three tiles away, meaning you can keep the user some distance from opponents who can only attack adjacent squares.

Of course, if you want to see and judge for yourself, you can always look up some Lets Plays on YouTube (e.g.), hopefully ones labelled "Part 1" or "Part 2" so you don't spoil yourself too much.
