What do you think about that the writers made the DP Contests exactly like the AG Contests?
Would you like to see a few changes to make it a little more like the Super Contests from the games? if so what changes exactly would you want to see?

These "Pokémon Contest" merchandise are soooo cute and makes me think they should have done something in the anime with that

It's also interesting that all that stuff was released on 9.2 (or at least I think that's what this date is)
Maybe we're going to see something soon? do you think it's possible they'll add changes to the Contest in the anime from now?
And it's funny to see how Buneary is almost on all that "Pokémon Contest" merchandise but is the least used in Contests in the anime (I think after Pikachu/Piplup/Turtwig/Chimchar the two most popular Pokémon on merchandise are Buneary and Pachirisu)

I'd like to see at least one special Contest with the Pokémon dress up and/or dances
They can also gradually change the Contests or at least make it that some of them has dance/dress up while some are the usual... or do this at the GF
Or if we'll get another saga in Sinnoh maybe than they'll decide to call it "Super Contests" and add these things?

They can have the first round the coordinator need to dress up his Pokémon by a certain description the judges say in a time limit (this is how it's in the games not?)
Than second round will be the usual performance and than third round the battles - but both will be done while the Pokémon still wears its accessories
I don't know how they can have the dances there without it being stupid but maybe they can do something with it

They can also just have the Pokémon randomly dress up like the coordinators do... it'll be so cute (and it's surprising they don't do such cute thing if they're trying to appeal to girls with the anime Contests)

I also think this could help to different May/Dawn and their Contests
And generally keep things fresh with the Contests
 
Well, I hate Sukizo, AKA Mr. Remarkable, to the grave after five seasons, so I'd rather of had them replace the Advanced judges with the Super Contest Judges.
 
Yeah they really should have replaced the judges... and make the new ones a little more interesting (as much as such characters can be interesting)
 
Yeah, I think the current judges should have been retired too. While I like them, the D/P Contest arc should have had fresh characters entirely, not the same judges from AG.

One thing I also don't like is Momoan (that's her name, right?) is so boring. >_>

Lillian had a real personality and was the most exciting MC for Contests, she was my favorite of the trio.
 
While I do wish they had made the DP Contests different somehow, I'm having trouble thinking of what they actually could have done to make them different.

Dressing the pokemon might work in the games, but it would look absolutely ridiculous if it was done in the series. I kind of feel the same way with dancing as well (plus, the anime producers would have to think up some new music to play during these portions).

Even the whole "the Coordinator gets dressed up" thing feels forced. Like...why the hell do they have to go through all that? Why not just wear the clothes they were wearing like the Coordinators in Houen and Kanto?

It makes sense for Dawn to do it because its in her character, but Zoey and Kenny dressing up does feel forced.

Still, I think the Pokemon wearing some accessories during the appeals could be interesting. Part of being a coordinator is also being a performer, and seeing Piplup in a top hat and cane doing a dance would be pulled off if they wanted to.
 
I think Hikari would dress up even if the rules didn't call for it.

Makes you wonder how Haruka would act if she was forced to dress up for each Contest. Or Harley o_O

It's not really rules
It's a tradition of the coordinators in Sinnoh to have a Pokétch and dress up (I find it stupid Pokétch is the coordinators' trend yet in the actual Contest they put it off)
Ash doesn't have a Pokétch and also didn't wear anything "special" for the Contest yet no one told him he's breaking the rules

Makes you wonder how Haruka would act if she was forced to dress up for each Contest.

I think it's most likely she'd ignore it like Ash did
Part of May's character development was how she changed from a girly girl that only interested at clothes and such to an experienced coordinator that mostly think about Pokémon and how to improve as a coordinator
Since May started with her Contests (at least if I remember correct) she didn't care anymore about clothes and the other girly things she liked
 
Interesting if what Buneary wore in the Chingling episode will be used in a Contest soon... Dawn had a whole book of Pokémon's clothes...
I hope they'll do something with it
Since Dawn didn't want Buneary's clothes to get dirty it took if off for the battle so I guess even if they'll do the Pokémon dress up it'll be on its own round or for the performance round but not in battles
