As the topic title says, is there any way Pokemon Diamond & Pearl could air on CW/Kids WB? I'm not to smart when it comes to lisencing and contracts, but is it possible? I think it would be nice for the kids who don't have cable a chance to see the new series.

i dont think they will because cw/kids is like its own thing and so is pokemon DP

Not a chance. The CW canned everything NOT made in house. They will not let pokemon back, no matter how well it does.

It's not a disappointment, it's on a more competent network who won't rape it into the ground like Kids WB did.

Well that's too bad. I do have another question though. Don't Cartoon Network and the CW have a relationship? I believe both channels come from Turner studios right?

Reason I'm suggesting these is because, despite what many say, there's still quite afew people in the US who don't have access to cable television. A number of my friends only have the basic channels.

Kids WB always took whatever show it had and chopped it up for their promotional material, like commercials or whatever.

Um, didn't you guys know KidsWb as a whole is getting the axe this year?

KidsWB is ending in the Summer of '08 and 4kids is taking over the block. How in the world would KidsWb air Pokemon when KidsWb is DEAD in 6 months?

So you mean like the number of commercial breaks during the shows? It wasn't that bad, there is usually about three or four breaks during a show.

Oh and Scott 85, I wasn't aware of that. If 4Kids is taking over, then it's probably safe to say it won't happen. Oh well.

o_O

3 or 4 breaks? In a 20 minute programme? That's crazy. In the UK we only have 1 for about 3 minutes in the middle. About 2 mins for terrestrial channels. I'd go mad if we had more. I'd heard the US had a lot more adverts but that's just crazy.

nope. they are two complety different channles

No, Linkpre is right. Even though both channels are run by different people, they both have the same parent company. That's why they used to share so many shows like Batman Beyond, Mucha Lucha, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh!.

They can also air the same shows since Kids' WB has a contract with CN which gives them both the right to air each others shows when ever they feel like it.

It is a huge disappointment for people like me who have no cable.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Pokemon (seasons 1 through 8) airing on the new, 4Kids-owned channel.

Afterall, 4Kids did dub seasons 1 through 8. And given the fact that for a while, they will own TWO channels (until 4Kids TV ends) I think it's possible they might air Pokemon.

But they don't own the rights to the old seasons anymore. PUSA owns the entire series, including the old seasons, so they would have to buy the rights to air it from them.

4kids probably isn't willing to pay PUSA to air the old seasons on their network when they can instead air their own shows. Granted, I could be wrong but I think its unlikely to happen.

When the Rockman.exe dub was on Kids WB, their were four commercial breaks. Even if their were a few minutes of show left, they had to cram in a few commercials.
