With E3 less than a week away, I thought I'd make this thread for people to post their predictions, hopes, etc. about what Nintendo will be announcing during the conference.

Personally, I'm expecting some sort of main series announcement (Z or X2/Y2 or DLC or something...), some more info on Super Mystery Dungeon, and maybe an announcement of one more new spin-off title.

However, here's some things I'd like to see, but not really expecting:

  • Pokemon Conquest 2: Conquest was my favorite spin-off and I'd love to see another one on 3DS.
  • Pokemon Pinball: Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire: It's been a LONG time since the last Pokemon Pinball game and I have fond memories of playing Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire on GBA when I was little.
  • A New Pokemon Ranger game: Again, it's been a while and I actually find this series pretty fun.
  • Pokemon X Digimon: Because I can't give up on this dream.
  • A Pokemon XD sequel: With some evil form of Mega Evolution. Would be a great addition to the Wii U.

So that's my list. Feel free to leave yours below, as well as any other Pokemon-related E3 thoughts. Happy speculating.

I think the most we'll be getting is more info on Super Mystery Dungeon. There's been a buttload of rumors that have been coming out of the woodwork for the past couple weeks, but it's nothing but rumors... the Interwebz loves rumorz, and the rumorz love the Interwebz.

Do I want another game announced? Yes. Will it happen? Not likely, knowing my luck.

Don't expect anything Pokemon related whatsoever. Super Mystery Dungeon was already shown off in a Mini Direct last week, which means that they probably wanted to get it out of the way and make room for other announcements. Pokken probably isn't going to see a Wii U announcement until next year. And the main series doesn't seem ready to move on yet. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Pokemon's a no show.

I'd like to see a Pokemon x Fire Emblem game, as far as crossovers go. Otherwise, it would be brilliant if the Orre games are remade either for Wii U or 3DS - now that around a decade isn't it.

I'm actually playing through Fire Emblem (Blazing Sword) on GBA right now and I considered putting that crossover on my list, but I figured Pokemon already has a Tactical RPG crossover spin-off in Conquest, so I didn't add it. It would be an awesome game though. :)

I completely agree with the OP. Something amazing is coming soon enough. If nothing is announced at e3, then the latest announcement this year has to be by October/November if GF/Nintendo wants to capitalize on the twentieth anniversary. Some people say that it may not be as important as the twenty-fifth.

However I for one have always wanted a Pokémon/Digimon crossover! Always! Yeah I know it will probably never ever happen.

I am not expecting anything from E3 in terms of main series games....People keep wanting there to b an announcement bc of the possibility of one or even tow more games this gen along with gamefreak dropping hints that the next games will b much different than what they've had b4 and the 20th anniversary....It also stems from the possibility that Tajiri might b there, but even that is far fetched as I feel we'd have some confirmation by now on someone who rarely ever makes an appearance being at E3. I predict that the earliest we get a new main series announcement will b January 2016. Maybe they do it up the way they did XY where they have a direct and release info throughout the year until the release.....either way I don't c it in the cards for Pokemon this year at E3

I don't think we're getting pokemon at all. Super Mystery Dungeon was announced where ORAS was and was covered in the micro direct. I think the main series is getting a break this year, which is fine by me.

Probably more Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon stuff. Like more info and maybe a little demo.

It seems like this is a break year for the series. If we do get something Id be very surprised.

I don't know...

Thanks in no small part to Yokai Watch, a Main Series game seems to be an annual event now whether we like it or not. I'd be more surprised if don't get one this year.

That said, I'm not so sure we'll get an announcement or info at E3 about it.

... Why are people expecting Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon news at E3 when they released information on May 30/31 and yesterday? That implies PSMD isn't going to be at E3. They have to save stuff for July and August.

Anyway, I think a main series Pokemon game is expected to be announced, considering they're making it obvious that they're hiding something about Arceus, which'll probably be announced on June 18th. I do question why most of the fandom aren't aware of that/ignore that possibility.

And we'll probably see Pokken character reveals. Maybe a Wii U announcement of it.

What have they hidden about Arceus? I haven't seen anything in relation to Arceus except that it's apparently in Mystery Dungeon.....

How about a Pokemon game that hasn't had a sequel at all since it came out over ten years ago? Pokemon Snap 2, plz, GameFreak. And this time, I want to be able to take pictures of EVERY Pokemon, even legendaries!

Other than that, I just want an X/Y sequel/followup or gen 4 remakes. :p

I've also seen someone point out that Nintendo doesn't want Pokemon to compete with Youkai Watch's localization. I really don't think Pokemon will be mentioned at E3 at all.

I'm assuming a new form/Mega Evolution/Primal Reversion, probably a Primal Reversion as that fits Arceus the most. Anyway... That's what I think is the "major announcement" for the Hoopa movie on June 18th. They've talked about Hoopa, but they haven't said anything about Arceus besides it being in the movie. It's clear it has a major role.

Here's all the things that point to something going on with it, with the exception of the last one as that's pure speculation.
- The Traveler, Mary, and Barza are all shown to be wearing a special necklace that's shaped like Arceus's ring. http://i.imgur.com/EtFawaD.png

- Arceus is glowing in the movie. http://i.imgur.com/ijY0jEK.png One may think it's Judgement, but in Arceus and the Jewel of Life, when it uses the move, the move appears in front of its head and is then thrown up in the air, only to rain down on its target.

- http://i.imgur.com/Ui5T9dA.png That building is old from the looks of it. And it has a golden ring, could it be related to Arceus?

- ポケモン紹介|ポケモン映画公式サイト『光輪の超魔神 フーパ』同時上映『ピカチュウとポケモンおんがくたい』 Notice how Arceus is the only one to have his own outline and he's not with the other legendaries? Doesn't that seem suspicious to you? If not, then I don't know what does.

- This is pure speculation, but Serebii did mention something about a character sheet, which has Characters A, B, C, D, E, and D. Hoopa Confined and Pikachu are on it, that should mean it's related to the movie. Hoopa Unbound definitely takes a slot. What other Pokemon are important in the movie? Those are Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre, Mega Rayquaza, and Arceus. With Arceus taking one Character D, that should mean the other Character D is its new form.

Mhm... I do hope the next main series game are X/Y sequels/followups, all those possible Kalos Mega Evolutions.

Hmmm I will give u that all that does seem suspicious.....but I feel like it might just b a red herring....All that attention might just b because Arceus is .....u kno GOD. Out of all the legendary Pokemon it's suppose to b the most powerful. So sure it's impressive to have all these legendary Pokemon show up and battle, but what's more impressive is to have the God of all Pokemon come in and f shit up lol I will say if there is a new form I wouldn't b surprised if we have a new game of some kind coming, but I still choose to remain pessimistic on the whole showing up at E3 thing. Again I suspect that if we hear about a new game it'll come in the form of a Pokemon Direct. In 2013 when Pokemon was a major focus at E3, they announced that there would b a presence there early on. It was a lot of info and was quite surprising, but it was still announced in advance. I'm also pretty sure CoroCoro would have something on any new info and since it hasn't leaked yet I suspect that there isn't anything new this month. I guess we'll c in the coming days tho

I expect nothing. A Pokemon game has never been revealed at E3 and I don't think Game Freak plans on changing that.

Thank you, was just about to point this out. The point of the mini Direct last week seems to have been to show off smaller projects that they didn't have time for in the digital event. Notice how in the last week's worth of new game announcements, we haven't heard any big games announced? Those kinds of games are the ones that they're probably using that time for. So I think anything that we saw in the Mini Direct or was announced in the last few days for Nintendo will not show up in the Digital Event. They may show up in Treehouse, but I don't think PSMD has a demo ready. This is probably all we're going to get from the game until July.
