Did you know? The 666th Pokémon episode is near!
It could be a satanic episode!?? XD

PS:Someone said I can't speak english! I'm sorry but I'm italian and I can't speak english perfectly! Sorry if you can't understand me!

Englas?

We're aren't going to have 666 till next year probably let's worry about it then.

<_< Yeah I doubt Pokemon would have a "satanic" episode since they don't need bad publicity with a new movie and the game remakes coming out soon to America and Japan.

what is so bad abot the number 666?

i thought in japan the number 444 is considered bad luck or something like that.

Well, just 4 itself is bad luck, since the same word used for '4' is also the word used for 'death'. So in Japan, yeah, it's bad luck.

As for Satan's number, well, I don't think anyone will make a big deal about the 666th episode. >.>

Your English is just fine. Don't worry about it. Oh, and keep some holy water on standby, just in case.

Know how to make holy water? Just take some regular water and boil the hell out of it. Heh heh heh...

At the very most they may acknowledge it and have a "scary" ghost pokemon episode or something, but that's the most I can see happening. It's not like they're going to go all out on it. Even shows that do go pretty deep with story lines usually don't make a big deal about the episode numbers.

Actually I heard somewhere that the true satanic number is 616 not 666.

For one thing, I doubt the majority of the staff working on this show in Japan even knows what "666" is supposed to be. Since the majority of the staff most likely isn't Christian.

LOL at people forgetting that this is a Japanese show from Japan.

For another thing, most people don't use the Serebii.net numbering system that ignores the fact that the episode numbering resets at the start of each new series.

Are you sure about that? While Japan isn't very religious in general, most of them do tend to know what 666 is. Maybe not in it's purest form, but they do realize it's associated with hell and satan at the very least.

I've yet to see 666 used in any Japanese production to creep people or out, or to be a symbol of evil/fright. I've seen bathrooms used, I've seen the number 4 used--haven't seen 666.

...So I guess 666satan doesn't count? I could bring up other examples, but considering how this one is fairly popular and is in the actual title, I can't help but say something.

Why the hell does this matter? Pokemon WILL NOT create any kind of "satanic" episode, and if they do I doubt it will air in America since everyone is a butt hurt christian.

It was used in one of the original DBZ's opening songs, IIRC. Probably not to scare people out, but still used.

Ah well, I've never watched much DBZ. So I'm sure I could be wrong then--maybe 666 is used. I just don't think it's as synomomous over there as it is here... but anyway the point, as .ιиsσмиιαc. said, it's not like they'd make a Satanic Pokemon episode either way.

In Episode 666 the Pokèmon world ends....

...

What? Too much of a downer ending? Its not like there are no other animes which end with the end of the world (or has it happen before/during the series' run..)

I'm sure this was meant in jest, but yeah, no one but Serebii uses that kind of numbering. (Besides, I found out that Serebii counts the lost Barboach ep, which nobody else counts.) Here in America, we have a huge deal over when something reaches as many eps as Pokemon has. Although for pokemon, not even in America was there much ceremony over 500 eps, or even 600 eps. Why should this number matter more?

I guess no one got my "holy water" joke a few posts back.

4 bad luck??? That's my lucky number!
