Although I appreciate getting something new over something used, I do enjoy getting a used Pokemon game because most of the time you can 'harvest' the last guy's save file if he didn't use the title sequence code to erase it.

Share with me your best or weirdest finds from your used games.

My personal best finds were a level 97 Rayquaza & 83 Groudon on Sapphire and on Platinum an 83 Dialga, 76 Palkia named "WATERB***H" (not censored), and a level 75 Luxray named "LUXRAPE" among other obscenely rape-based named Pokemon.

I recently sold some used Gen. 3 games and thought I'd do the next guy a favor and left him a Houndour with Pokerus.

You can curse here.

No, I think they meant that it was literally called "WATERB***H". XD

I always look forward to doing this. I was able to pick up the Legendary and the Hoenn starter evolutions (at least Sceptile and Blaziken) when I picked up my copy of Emerald. Unfortunately, I Pal-Parked it...on my old Pearl file...which I lost. ><

Thanks for the info. I know it was mentioned I could, but I didn't want to overstep some unspoken boundary.

With the above permitting, yes it was named "WATERBITCH".

I got a used Blue and it had all yes all(!) 151 Pokémon

I'm pretty sure someone out there has my Blue and Silver with a full Pokedex. I hope they enjoyed it because that was a lot of work...

It's interesting what things one can find in the lost & found at the public library... ;]
I got Ruby, Red, & Mystery Dungeon Red for free, hooray~~

But I digress. On Ruby, the person had a lv. 80 Blaziken (nicknamed FIREBIRD - how creative), along with a bunch of lv.40-50's like Metagross, Aggron, Medicham, Dusclops, Gyarados, Crobat, Glalie, etc. Besides that they had like 150 other Pokemon. |D
On Red, they had a number of glitched lv. 100/120 Golduck & Kingler, which I gratefully used to beat the Elite 4. Haha.

My mom went on vacation a few years ago, and accidentally switched her LeafGreen with a friend's son's. She turned it on, and it had a random assortment of level 1, 5, and 100 pokemon on it. I personally took a level 5 Celebi and Jirachi, the three beasts, and a level 100 Tyranitar, Feraligatr, and Meganium. The last three I took so I could breed them, then I gave them back.

I used to rent the TCG game, as there was no shop that actually sold it. One day when I rented it out, I found the save file on it had been completed 100%, every card, and right at the end of the game.

My Cousin gave me his FireRed and LeafGreen and Sapphire ages ago, and most Pokémon had funny nicknames like "irapeyou" "nipplehead" (or something) and "dickface".

I got my cousin a used copy of Emerald for Christmas and decided to try it on my DS, partly to make sure the thing still worked, and partly to see if the guy who traded it in left anything good on there. Only thing worth anything was a Pikachu with a Light Ball.
Dx

Only Pokèmon game I bought used was Colosseum...and since it didn't come with a memory card there were no save files XD (Though annoyingly I found out it takes up ALL the spot on my brother's memory card... which made me feel a bit obligated to get him a new one in case he'd want to play his Wind Waker game...)

I sold my Gold and Sapphire versions...but I don't remember if I left any Pokèmon on them:p (maybe that's where Silver the shiny Raticate went? XD)

The weirdest thing I've ever seen on one of these is a team of three Magikarps, a Pidgeot and a Venusaur at the beggining of Victory Road in FireRed.

I got a level 100 Rayquaza, but, it refused to pal park :(

I had gotten a used Pokemon Blue game...2 years back...
The team was
Mewtwo Lv.100
Blastoise Lv.100
Arcanine Lv.100
Gengar Lv.100
Marowak Lv.100
Zapdos Lv.100

But... the game was Corrupted, and it deleted the whole file in a week XD

I bought a used copy of Red once.

Didn't work. Was glitched worse than any other copy I've ever played, and I've seriously screwed up the original games myself.

I was all excited to find a Mew on my used copy of Emerald, only to be disappointed it was hacked. Tons of crazy Pokemon on that cart. Don't get why someone would go to all that trouble just to trade it in!
