This is the sixth time I've done this RPG. First time here though.
Welcome to Pokemon Gijinka Academy (PGA for short,) a huge school campus located on an island off the coast of the Unova region. The academy is refuge to Pokemon gijinkas. It is a place where they can meet others like themselves, as well as hone and learn to use their abilities, as well as get a regular education (there are regular classes here too.) A Pokemon gijinka, is a human who is born with a Pokemon soul. It is not not yet known why these humans are born like this, however as a result, they are able to communicate with the species of Pokemon whose soul they share. They can also use that Pokemon's abilities, and in some cases they recieved some of the physical characteristics of that Pokemon. The academy is home to many gijinkas young and old. Few people know of it's existence. The academy has been around for decades, and has been able to be a secret for so long due to the presence of a few kind humans in the world.
However, society in general fears gijinkas. They are considered abominations and freaks of nature. Some parents send there children here out of shame after finding out their child is a gijinka. There are also humans who wish to capture gijinkas and use them for malicious purposes, as though they were a regular Pokemon. There are even some gijinkas who wish to use their powers for selfish deeds. However, the school has usually been good at spotting those with ill intentions.
Some gijinkas, save for their powers, and in some cases hair or eye color, can pass for "Normal" humans. There are others however who aren't so fortunate. They have the physical traits of a Pokemon, or have difficulty controlling their powers. It gives them away as gijinkas immediately. These type of gijinkas rarely leave the island.
The academy building, where classes take place, is a large nondescript building that's several stories tall. P.E. classes, are held either outside in a field set up for it behind the building, or in a small gymnasium nearby. Next to the campus on either side, are the towers for the boys and girls dormitories respectively. A walking distance away, there is the Academy Village. Despite being called a village, it is as big as a regular town, and contains all the things towns do. Including a movie theatre, several restaurants a shopping mall, and more. The island itself is tropical, there is a beach with swimmable oceans, and a large rainforest. Wild Pokemon do live on the island. These Pokemon are not allowed to be captured by anyone. They are usually studied in their natural habitat for the science classes.

I have no set plot for this. Anything you want to do is fine with me, but I would like to be in on it if you plan to do something major. PM/VM me, or use the discussion thread. (Unlike Serebii, I don't need mod approval to make one. =D) Remember, we need students and teachers.
Rules
1. All Bulbagarden rules and RPG rules apply obviously.
2. No legendaries (The last thing I need is someone being an Arceus gijinka and beating everyone.) Rotom and Phione do not count as legendaries
3. Try to be active. If you must leave give someone permission to control your character.
4. You can use as many characters as you can handle, but keep track of them all.
5.There can be more than one of the same species, so don't worry if someone else joins as the Pokemon you wanted.
6. Have Fun. I will be enforcing this. If you're not having fun, then get out. xD

Name: Shandy Lure (Obvious pun is obvious. xD)
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Appearance: Shandy is not particularly tall or short, standing at about five feet six inches. Her figure is average, she's not skinny or fat, and she weighs about 130 lbs. She has long hair that goes to her waist, and it is naturally light purple, her bangs go past her eyebrows, almost to the tip of her nose, without getting in her eyes. Her eyes are a bright shade of yellow that sometimes appear to be glowing and also appear to be pupiless (She isn't blind), which freak some people out. Her skin is pale, which makes her unique features stand out more.
She likes the color purple, and she wears a lot of it. Her outfit is a long sleeveless dress, the top part of it is the same color as her hair with vertical lines as well as a black lace collar around the neck, and small matching trims around the holes for the arms. The skirt is a much darker shade of purple, that goes down to her ankles and is a bit frilly at the bottom. It also has four thin black ornamentations that stick out from the side and curl upward. and these resemble the arms of a Chandelure, and sometimes have small lighted flames at the end. She wears light purple socks that reach to her thighs, with dark purple Mary Jane styled slippers on her feet. She has black gloves that go past her elbows, as well as a thin matching headband on top of her head. On the side of this headband is a black ribbon tied into a bow where a light purple flame occasionally lights up. (See the picture.)
Personality: Shandy is a shy, quiet girl. She'd much rather spend time with her Chandelure, other Ghost Pokemon, or with her books, than with people. When she does speak, she only says a few words, hoping the other person will get the message that she wants them to go away. If she finds the person irritating enough, those words will be harsh and biting. She is very dangerous when angered.
In reality, Shandy would like a human friend. However, she chooses to avoid human interaction when possible due to the way her powers work. She is afraid of them, and fears being responsible for more the deaths of more people. She desperately wishes she could be normal. Shandy can often be found at a library reading books, or at the Celestial Tower in Mistralton the city on the rare occasions she leaves the Academy. She idolizes the Elite Four member Shauntal, and also hopes to become an author herself.
History: Her unique name was was intentional on her parents part. They couldn't pass up the pun. Plus, it was rather obvious since her birth that she was a gijinka, because of her looks, and the fact that the flames of some candles placed in the room turned purple and grew much bigger when she was born. Despite this, she had a "normal" childhood. However, she was often bullied and picked on for her "weird" taste in clothes, naturally purple hair, creepy yellow eyes, fascination for Ghost type Pokemon, and the mysterious fires and kinds of bad luck that would occur when she was around. The fact that her name was Shandy Lure and she owned a Litwick did not help matters. She was hurt by the constant teasing, but tried to ignore it as best she could.
It all came to a head in high school. While she was walking by, she overheard a student say, "Oh look, here comes that freak Shandy." She got upset by this, and then suddenly, without meaning too, the boy's locker caught fire. He tried to save his things inside it, but the flame spread, setting himself on fire. When she walked up to try to help the person, he responded with "You did this didn't you?! Get away from me you witch!" Which made Shandy more upset, causing the fire to grow. Shandy ran away tears streaming down her face. While the boy tried to get help, he realized he couldn't leave. He was held in place by his own shadow.
As Shandy ran, random things she passed started bursting into flames. Eventually, the entire school caught fire. By the time fireman arrived, flames had consumed the entire school. Strange thing was no one could leave the building. Several people were burned, and some even died. Only one people was able to walk out without a scratch, that was Shandy. This brought a lot of suspicion on to her.
To this day, Shandy blames herself for this, and has cut herself off from most people as a result. She was transfered to other schools many times, each time she got abuse from family members and friends of people who died in the fire she started. Over time she gained a reputation for being a witch, and she did little to refute that. After many months of this, Shandy's parents recieved an invitation to the PGA. Wanting the best for their daughter, they sent her there hoping it would be good for her. She's been at the Academy for a year already.
Pokemon: Chandelure
Abilities
Shadow Tag: An ability that prevents people in her presence from running away by making their shadows hold them in place (Hence Shadow Tag) even when she leaves. She has no control over this ability, and it activates on it's own. Usually when upset, angry, or afraid. One can escape the effects of this ability if they use Volt Switch/U-Turn/Baton Pass, are holding a Shed Shell, or another Shadow Tagger appears in front of Shandy, or her ability is negated by Gastro Acid/Mummy/Worry Seed.
Pyrokinesis: Shandy is able to draw heat from the air to create as well as control fire. The fires she makes are always purple. She can wield various Fire attacks. Such as firing a large stream of fire from her hands (Flamethrower) to making small "wisps" of flame that burn the opponent (Will-O-Wisp.) This power is also fueld by her emotions, and she has trouble controlling it.
Fire resistance: Like other Fire type gijinkas, Shandy is resistant to heat and fire. She can put her arm through a fire and not be hurt. Her clothes have this same protection.
Hex: Shandy clasps her hands and begins chanting. This releases Ghost type Energy around the target causing them intense (Though not fatal) internal pain. This pain is worse if they have an affliction of some sort. (Usually a burn in her case
Pain Split: Shandy chants a curse. This one shares her pain with another target, dividing their health and injuries equally.
Intangibility: Like most Ghost types, Shandy is able to become intangible and phase through solid objects. This allows her to walk through walls.
Invisibility: Another ability that comes with being a Ghost type. With this, Shandy can become invisible for a short time. However she can still be seen by things like Lucario's Aura Sensing, heat sensing technology, etc.
Curse: Shandy chants a curse. She cuts some of her health, to lay a curse on the victim that will gradually drain their health and cause them pain. Or, she can cast a weaker version that will cause bad luck to come to them. This version of Curse does not require her to cut her energy to use.
Memento: Shandy yet again chants a curse. This curse is powerful and severely weakens the physical and special attacks of the target, but it makes Shandy faint for awhile after casting it.
Confuse Ray: Shandy releases a sinister Ghostly ray. This causes the target to become disoriented and confused for a short time.
Other: Shandy does not like swimming, not because she dislikes water (She has to bathe somehow.) or can't swim. Rather because she doesn't want to be seen in public wearing a swimsuit.

Personality: Shandy's closest friend. Chandelure has been with her through everything. She is very unlike other Chandelures (Or other Ghost Pokemon in general) who like to scaring people and stealing souls. Instead prefering to be friends, though they often run in fear anyway, this does not deter her at all. She acts like a motherly figure to Shandy, and tries to encourage her to make friends.

i'm going to get a su up and ready in a bit... i haven't done a school rp in a long long long time... brings back such fun memories.... anywho back to getting su done and stuffs...
