Howdy folks! Greetings to all ape and non-ape beings out there! My name is Ambipom (actually it's S-NEVER MIND) and I will be one of the hosts of the awesomeness '+ + Pokemon Gijinka: Search for Paradise+ +' . Please let this RP live a long and healthy life. Though, I'm willing to bet it won't last longer than a week... Come on, people, stop the Kadabra, break traditions, think outside the box!

BACKSTORY: (Scroll down if this bores you) Well, my friend and I, Lady Milotic, were squealing over the Gijinka pictures on DevART when we decided it would be pretty cool to create our own. She, of course, doodled a stunning Milotic gentleman while I created an Eevee morph. We spent about half an hour naming them and giving them personalities before deciding to create more. Hmph. Now we had a whole army of Gijinkas.

Seeing as when I get an idea I usually like to share it with others (coughdatinggamecough), it struck me that the Pokemon Crater RPs had been pretty boring last time I logged in so why shouldn't we give them a treat? Gijinkas are awesome and you know you love 'em.

But but...something happened to Pokemon Crater. It's not there anymore! (cries) Oh well. I told Lady Milotic I'd search the interweb for another forum board and came across this 'Bulbagardens'. Oh. My. Lugia. Bulbapedia is, like, the best PKMN info site ever and know it had a forum to match! Sweetness! So, while we wait for Lady Milotic, here's the basic jist:

PLOT

Once upon a time, Gijinkas lived happily with humans. Now, a masked villan (is there any other kind?) has arisen, threatning to 'put down' all Gijinkas. In order to escape this madman, all the Gijinkas have fled to their closest 'safe place'. One group, known as the 'Oreinn' Gijinkas, have travelled to a hotel East of Johto where they will plot to save the rest of the Gijinkas and find out just why this villan wants them snuffed out.

Q & A (as applied to the story):

What's a Gijinka?
A Gijinka is a being that is part Pokemon part human. They may posses the wings/fur/feathers/fangs/scales/powers of the Pokemon but have the basic body of a human. They have a person's mind. Some people fear Gijinkas because of their Pokemon traits.

Can a Gijinka be *any* Pokemon?
Almost any. There shouldn't be such thing as Gijinka legendaries.

Do Gijinka evolve?
Yes, overtime when they gain strength, they evolve. Their appearance may change slightly as it is with regular Pokemon.

Someone took the Gijinka I wanted to RP as! Can more than one person be the same species?
As long as your Gijinka is a different gender to the one already submitted. Meaning there can be two Pikachus, female and male. If you're serious about having a Gijinka the same gender and species as the one before, PM the controller of the character. Yes, you have permission to re-use Eevee but not Mismagius and Roselia.

Can Gijinka own Pokemon?
Of course! ^^ Gijinka have an easier time than humans bonding with Pokemon!

How did Gijinkas come into this world?
Fans. I mean-nobody knows for sure when they first appeared. They may be the product of an experiment gone wrong or...something very wrong that a human decided it okay to do. Don't get what I'm saying? Good. You're lucky.

RULES

All normal RPG rules apply, eg: no swearing, no bashing other members. Minor cursing is okay like 'damn' or 'crap' but nothing outside those. Your character saying something against another member's isn't flaming but you cannot say anything against another member or their character in an OOC post.

No godmodding. No SPAMMING. If you have an OOC post, please use (( )) or << >>. And dont tink typin lik a slowpoke is acceptable. Proper grammer is to be used. Oh yeah, please write in third person because reading 'I did this,' the whole time just gets a little too confusing. ^^; And no fewer than five lines per non-OOC post.

STORYLINE

You are a Gijinka of the Oreinn group. You and several others are taking shelter at a small hotel run by Stent, the Tauros Gijinka. You arrive at this place, wet from the rain to be greeted by a Flaaffy Gijinka. She will escourt you to your room. Inside, you find a bed, dresser, closet and a seperate bathroom. You collapse onto your bed, exhausted from the journey, eager for rest.

The next morning you arrive down stairs to meet everyone else. There, you will discuss plans and tactics. But you can't help feeling a little weary of the Ninetales Gijinka* that has a somewhat sinister look. Your post starts from you waking up. Proceed from there.

Personality: He's very friendly, very open. He'll loyally protect anyone he loves and his heart is definitely in the right place. He's sweet and caring, especially to his girlfriend, Anita. He's not planning on evolving anytime soon. Evolving is overrated.

History: Originally from Johto. He doesn't own any Pokemon. He was born a Gijinka into a family of four. His mother is an Eevee also, his father is a Vaporeon and his big brother is an Umbreon. His brother was put under an 1000 year curse from the Ninetales Gijinka and Kim hates him for it (the Ninetales). He looks up to his brother for advice.
He's been dating Anita for almost a year now and is pleased to know they'll be in the same 'safe place'. He also has quite a history with the Ninetales Gijinka. They used to be best friends when he was a Vulpix but now, ever since evolving, they're bitter enemies. All he wants is to live peacefully alongside humans.

Pokemon features: He's covered in brown fur. He has a collar of fluffy, white fur around his neck. He had brown paws for hands and feet but he stands upright. His hair is a darker brown than his skin. He's got two big Eevee ears and a fluffy Eevee tail.

Personality: She's really sweet and caring. She'd never hold a grudge and would only fight as a last resort. She adores her boyfriend. Anita wants to work in a Pokemon Center as a nurse when she's older. She believes her knowledge of aroma therapy would make things easier. Whenever someone gets hurt, they'll go to Anita.

History: She moved from the Hoenn Region to the Johto Region when she was thirteen. She lived in Goldenrod city where she met Kim and they started dating. She has a lot of other friends as well and was sad when the Gijinka had to flee in different directions but at least she got to stay with her boyfriend.
Her brother is a Roserade Gijinka but he and her parents, another Roselia and Roserade, were sent to a different location. She manages to still call him, though.
She has one Pokemon, a Meganium named Hale. He helps her with her potions and medicine. Oddly enough, Hale seems to have made friends with the Ninetales Gijinka's Luxray. She doesn't mind the Luxray but is very cautious of the Ninetales. Her grass type would be no match for his fire type. Still, at least she has Kim to protect her.

Attire: A denim skirt down to her knees, a white top and a yellow jacket. She wears a blue rose earring on her left ear and a red one on her right ear. On her feet are two brown high-heel boots.

Pokemon features: Her hair is long, flowing green with three spikes tied with red ribbon sticking out of the top. Two bracelets, a red and a blue, are permenantly worn on her left and right arms. Her skin is delicate and peach.

Personality: Thinks life is just a game and the only way to play is to joke your way outta things. It's almost impossible to get him to take something seriously. He loves playing tricks on people and watching them freak out. But he is loyal. He'd never purposely harm anyone he loves.

History: He's originally from the Sinnoh Region but, when he was about six, his father and mother divorced and moved to Johto with his father. There, his father started to date an old friends, a Vulpix Gijinka. The mother of the Nintales Gijinka. He and his brother don't speak or get on that well, especially since his brother learnt the attack Dark Pulse. Now, if Uriah does something wrong, he knows he'll suffer from it. So he mostly keeps away from his family and hangs out with his friends.
He was upset when he first learned the Gijinka had to flee into hiding. But now, he'll do anything to stop the mistreatment of Gijinkas everywhere. He's good friends with Kim, the Eevee Gijinka. But his best friend was Anita's brother, the Roserade who, unfortunately, was sent to a different retreat.

Attire:

Pokemon features: A hat like Mismagius'. He has yellow eyes with red iris'. He always wears a beaded necklace of red orbs around his neck. His skin is a dark, dark purple.

Personality: He tends to act imature at times, also rather stubborn and crafty. He often manipulates people to get what he wants, and is very good at it. Louis holds in a lot of anger from his past inside, but rarley shows it. He doesn't often open up to people. A bit of a loner. His major quirk is that he is still learning to speak human after being raised by Whynaut.

History: Hailing from the Sevii Isles, He doesn't remember much about his past, and nothing about his parents other then the fact that he was abandond at birth. He spent the first ten years under the care of a group of Whynaut, who thought he was one of their own kind. He was found by Cally, a Linoone Gijinka, who took him in, gave him a name, and taught him to speak human. They have since traveled the world, as she shows him new places and teaches him how to be human again. She acts as a mentor to him, showing him things that would other wise leave him baffled, such as training and tamming pokemon.

Attire: Although most people belive it is part of his Gijinka, Louis chooses to wear blue jeans and a blue T-shirt out of free will. He has brown hair and glasses that often fall lopsisded on his face.

Pokemon features: Louis has a Whynuat's tail and ear-hands, as well as strange blue fringes around his human hands.

Attacks: Splash, Destiny bond, Encore, Counter.

Pokemon:

Species: Whynaut.
Nickname: Cookie. A name given to her by Louis, as Cookie was the first word he learned.
Gender: Female.
Attacks: Same as Louis himself.
Personality: Shy, she followed Louis when he left the Whynuat clan.

Gijinka: Linoone.
Age: 25.
Gender: Female.

Personality: Cally is very mothering, particularly to Louis. Despite reciving redicule from being a Gijinka, she is also very bright and cheerfull. Cally also has an out-going side that suprises many people, seeing as though she normaly calm and collected. She can speak with pokemon, witch has helped her to teach Louis to speak. Cally also has a hidden temper that errupts when her parents are mentioned.

History: (Will be played out)

Attire: A normal pink shirt skirt.

Pokemon features: Cally has hair like a Linoone's back, and Linoone ears. She also has claws, but never would use them unless it ment saving someone. Some would say her gate is similar to a Linoone, she walks lopsided.

Personality: Eli is usually very serious, but won't hesitate to have a little fun. He is willing to sacrifice anything for those he loves, and most say that he worries to much about other people and not enough about himself. He doesn't talk much and usually likes to keep to himself. He never lies but won't tell anyone about himself unless they ask about it.

History: Eli was born in the Kanto region. He was an only child to Electrivire parents, and the three of them enjoyed traveling the world and experiencing new things. When Eli was about 11 he was separated from his parents by an anti-Gijinka protest. Ever since, he's been living with an adoptive family of humans, until, of course, the Gijinka evacuation took place when he was forced to leave the family and go the the safe haven.

Attire: A black shirt and a yellow jacket, possibly to mimic Electrivire's colors. He also wears black jeans.

Pokemon features: He doesn't have as many Pokémon features as the other Gijinkas around him, but he does have a few. Like Electivire's, his eyes are red. His face, arms, chest, back and legs are covered with black markings identicle to those of Electivire. His fingers are black and he has the same two tails that Electivire has.

Attacks: Thunder Punch, Discharge, Thundershock, Fire Punch, Low Kick.

Other: Though he doesn't look it, Eli is actually quite strong.

Personality: Gregg has a very closed personality around humans and some upper class Gijinka's. He is very protective to friends and those indangered. He has a very low self esteme.

History: Gregg was born and lived most of his life in the Pastoria Marshes with his Toxicroak parents. They lived in harmony and where very close to the Pokemon in the marsh lands. Him and his family where told to leave the marshes by Anti-Gijinka Nationalists. Fearing for their lives they decided to leave.
Gregg's dad stayed behind to protect the pokemon of the marsh. He was later split up from his Mother when sent to the hideout. He later recieved news that his Dad had died protecting the Marsh. He hadn't heard from his Mother in weeks.

Attire: Baggy, ripped, 3/4 length purple pants. He wears bandages around his chest as a form of Martial arts.

Pokemon features: He has yellow eyes with a dark outline. Although his skin isnt Croagunk-blue, it is a very pale sickly blue. He has Crougunk hands and he stands in a slouched possition like Croagung and sometimes uses his legs to leap from one place to another. He also has a stench that follows him around attracting flies.

Attacks: Poison Jab, Sludge bomb, Mud bomb, Mud Slap, Sucker Punch, Brick break.

Other: He has long white hair and is very muscular.

Name: Sandybell
Gijinka species: Meowth
Age: 17
Gender: male

Personality: He likes shiny things, and because of that, he's a bit of greedy and cunning. He was born to a Persian couple but got kidnapped by an anti-gijinka organization and brutally beated up, so he no more trusts humans. Due to this, he prefers the company of other gijinka and pokemon. He's afraid of humans and is a bit of scarelycat around them and completely locks himself when being approached by one. He's a bit shy towards other gijinka, but he opens his heart thoroughly to pokemon.

History: As stated before, he was kidnapped by anti-gijinka organization and brutally beated up in it's HQ so when he managed to break out of there, he lost the trust to humans and tried to hide his pokemon features. He hasn't been able to contact his parents this far (he was six when beated up), so he has already given up and now thinks they're dead.

Attire: He wears a wooly hat that fades from dark beige to almost white beige, so his Meowth ears and coin on his head are covered. He wears a white T-shirt with a Meowth head on it and a beige vest on it. His 3/4 shorts are sand colored and his shoes are dark brown sandals. He has an appearance of a 13 year old, mainly because his clothing and a bit kid-like shape of body.

Pokemon features: He has the Meowth coin on his head and the Ears of a Meowth as well as the tail. He tries to hide all these traits. He has two scratches (human made, thought) on his cheeks, resembling whiskers.

Attacks: Scratch, Bite, Pay day, Frustration (if TM's are ok)

Other: He has sandy-blonde hair with two bangs sticking up.

Personality: It's very calm and protective over it's owner, Sandybell but it doesn't think badly about humans. She is the only one who can calm down Sandybell. However, it will attack anyone who hurts Sandybell. It uses it's Sweet scent to calm down Sandybell (talk about a drug XD)

Species: Doduo
Nickname: Quicksilver
Gender: male
Attacks: Peck, Fury attack, Tri attack, Rage, Pursuit, Double team
Personality: Quicksilver is a real hothead, and gets ticked off pretty easily. He transports Sandybell around on it's back. It desperately wants to learn to fly, thus jumping off gliffs and big rocks even while carrying Sandybell. It's quite stubborn and has great determination to things he wants to accomplish, learning to fly being the prior.

Sandybell wakes up from the comfortable bed. He groans a bit and digs himself under the warm blankets. The last night's scenarios are coming back to him. The hotel, the Flaaffy gijinka who greeted him and several others, the Ninetales gijinka at one corner of the hotel --and the uneasy feeling along when seeing the Ninetales gijinka--, it all came back to him. He sighs and gets up, wears his shoes and walks down and sees a muscular gijinka, a Tauros. He seems alike a very nice, althought fierce persona. Sandybell's Oddish emerges from it's pokeball and jumps on Sandybell's hands: "Oddiiii~"
Sandybell smiles and greets her: "Hello Honey..." He walks to the bar-like room and sits to a chair: "C...could I maybe have some... cereals or something...? My Oddish would like to have just a pot of soil to absorb nutrients of...?" Sandybell looked at the Tauros- gijinka, and hoped that he wouldn't get a mean glance back. He searched something from his pockets; "I can pay..."

Gregg wakes up an hour early to train himself. He starts to realise what as happened to him. His father, his protector is dead. He must now become a protector and find his Mother.
Gregg washes his face and makes his way downstairs.
He sees an intimidating Tauros Gijinka and A Meowth Gijinka. Greg then hops onto a stool.
"Im... Gregg. Is there any food? I havent eaten in days"

As Greg was asking for something to eat, Louis came bouncing into the room shouting. "HI GI-GI! PLAY WITH LOUIS?!"

Cally came running in after him, looking embarrased.

Eli was surprised to find himself lying in a comfortable bed in a peaceful room. He then remembered the trials they endured the night before, and he remembered thinking that he would never make it to the Haven, but he made it. Finally he was surrounded by Gijinkas just like him, and they all wanted to keep eachother safe. After he pieced together the events of the previous night, he realized that he hadn't eaten in at least 24 hours and he was very hungry. He thought about going downstairs to get some breakfast, but decided to wait until everyone else in the Haven had already eaten.

After putting his trademark, yellow jacket on, Eli quietly crept into the main room, careful not to wake anyone who might still be sleeping.

Sandybell looks around and blinks a few times. He looks Gregg, the Croagunk gijinka, and whispers shyly back: "I... I'm... S... Sandybell... And... this is Honey..."
Oddish blinks and buries itself under the soil so only the leaves are visible: "Oddiiiidiish~"
A fierce, loud Doduo yell is heard, and a falling Doduo can be seen from a window as Quicksilver falls, desperately trying to fly.
Sandybell runs outside and summons Quicksilver back to his ball before the Doduo hits the ground:
"Don't jump from the roof!!", Sandybell yells, worried and embarrassed. He comes back to the hotel and continues eating his breakfast. Honey jumps on his hand and sits on his shoulder: "Diiiidiish~"

Name: Lucas Cyril Elliot
Gijinka species: Ninetales

Gender: Male
Original Region: Johto

Personality: He doesn't appear to like the company of others and prefers to keep to himself. He's sort of what you'd call the 'strong silent' type. He only talks when he needs to. But there seems to be some sort of auora around him that makes others weary. Maybe it's the wicked gleam in his eye?
He's VERY proud of his gorgeous nine tails and would nodoubtably harm anyone who so much as brushed against them. However, he refuses to battle what he refers to as 'baby' Pokemon. Pre-evolutions are safe from his wrath but that doesn't mean he wouldn't send a Flamethrower in the direction of a naive Pichu dumb enough to yank one of his tails.
He believes himself somewhat above others, because of his headstrong fire type, and especially looks down on grass or bug types. He strongly dislikes humans and believes Gijinkas shouldn't mix with them. They should use their abilities to gain strength and power. He's not, however, evil.

History: He wasn't always so serious. When he was young, a Vulpix, he used to be quite playful. His best friend was the Eevee Gijinka, Kim. But when he was only nine years old, his father left his family, after telling his young son 'There is no good in this world; Gijinkas exist to gain power. Think of that as your only way of living,' Lucas begun to train, until he had learned all of the moves he could, naturally. Then, with the aid of a Fire Stone, he let himself evolve to bacome a Ninetales, a beautiful but deadly creature.
When his mother remarrried, to a Mismagius, he started collecting TMs and taught himself attacts such as Torment. He learned the terrifying attack Dark Pulse which he uses to threaten his brother with. Some would say, his second type is Dark or Ghost.
Now with the threat of the anti-Gijinka protest hanging over his head, he lives a life among shadows and believes there is no need for friendship.

Attire: A blue jacket that doesn't quite meet across his mane of fur. His legs are clad in a pair of navy jeans and he wears long balck boots on his feet.

Pokemon features: His entire body is covered in a fine, white coat of fur. His eyes glow red with a slit of white in th middle. His cream bangs fall into his eyes, the rest of his hair is straight and long, reaching his shoulders. He has a mane of thick, fluffy white fur covering his chest. Nine gorgeous cream tales come out from above his rear.

Personality: He acts quite soloemn and serious around his trainer but whenever out of the company of Lucas, he turns into quite a playful kitty! He's made really good friends with the Maganium, Hale.

Personality: He's not self-centered or condescending or anything like that but he is very, very vain. He's unbelievably proud of his appearance and while it is beautiful, it is the only thing that can bring him pride; he's utterly useless in battle. He doesn't believe 'type' affects his attitude towards others but their outer appearance is the most important thing to take notice of. He dislikes conflict and will try his best to calm down anyone who gets reared up for a fight. His attacks are mainly for show; he's lost to fire types before.
But don't let his perfect exterior and bloated personality fool you, he really is loyal and deep down he would die trying to protect his friends.

History: His mother is an actual Milotic, non-shiny but, nontheless, beautiful. His father, however, was human.
How this happened is a mystery to Sal. He prefers not to think about it too, for more than one reason. His father was brutally murdered by a mysterious Darkrai and so, Sal was adopted by two kindly humans in their early twenties. He lived with them, dedicating his life to preforming and quickly became famous from his stunning contest preformances. He travelled to every Region, stopping in Johto has lead him to befriend Kim and Anita but also losing a battle to Lucas.
He has a party of Pokemon he uses strictly for contests but usually enters himself, dazzling the judges with his trademark act, a Surf, followed by Ice Beam, finished with a Hyper Beam.
His best friend is a human called Satori but because of the Gijinkas having to flee, they can no longer see each other. Sal hopes to solve this problem with negociating instead of fighting. He is the opposite to Lucas in many ways.

Attire: A silver cardi over a blue, short-sleeved shirt and pale blue, denim shorts. He wears black pumps when he's on land.

Pokemon features: The most notable thing of his Pokemon appearance is the yellow and orange hexagon tattoo that covers his entire right leg. When near water, he can fuse his legs together to form a stunning, long, fishtail. There is, however, a slit in this tail so he can keep wearing his shorts when he transforms.
He also has unusually long, red eyebrows, big amber eyes and long, flowing silver-blue hair with two pale blue ribbons draping down to his chest.

Personality: She likes preforming but not as much as her co stars. She'd prefer to be helping others than showing off her moves.

Salomon tenderly opened one eye, yawning then propping himself up against his pillow. He glanced around his room, rubbing his eyes, remembering the night before. He, along with several others, had travelled to this remote hotel and would soon be making the plan of their next move.
Chuckling to himself at his still sleeping Pokemon, he stood up from his bed, reaching for his Pokeballs left lying on the locker. Pressing the gray button, he withdrew his Pokemon then decided it time to descend downstairs.
Once there, he came across two Gijinkas talking, a Roselia and an Eevee. A Ninetales was leaning moodily against a wall, eyes shut and not bothering about anyone else. Avoiding the kitsune, he waved merrily at the Roselia and Eevee, recognising them as his friends.
Salomon was getting hungry by this time, and so made his way into the breakfast-bar room, coming across several other Gijinkas who were either eating or chatting to one another. He took a seat beside the Meowth Gijinka, smiling at the Pokemon resting on his shoulder.
"He's sweet. Is it yours?"
Just then, a sinister presence seemed to have entered the room. Sal looked up. It was Lucas, the Ninetales Gijinka. He surveyed the room before barking an order:
"You are to report to the board room at five PM sharp. There, our first meeting will take place. Tell the others. Anyone who fails to turn up will have to answer to me," He growled then left, nine tails trailing behind him. Sal sighed then turned again to the Meowth.
"I'd do what he says, he can get scary. I mean, I'm a water type and he had no problem defeating me with an Ember Attack,"

Cally came over and put a hand on Louis's shoulder. "Alright, you've caused enough trouble for one day. Now let's get a menu and order something."

Eli looked around. Most of the people in the Haven seemed friendly. Perhaps this place will be safe after all, he though. Seeing a Linoone with a menu reminded him of how hungry he was, and he couldn't resist eating any longer. He picked up a menu and studied it. He wasn't sure what to pick because he felt like he could eat everything on the menu.
