Pokémon GO arrives at IIT-Bombay in Mumbai for Techfest 2025 this week, from December 22nd to 24th

Pokémon GO will have an official booth on the campus of IIT-Bombay in Mumbai for this week's Techfest 2025 festival. In addition to some special in-game activities running the length of the event, from Monday, December 22nd, at 10:00am to Wednesday, December 24th, at 8:00pm local time, Trainers are also invited to attend the event in-person and take part in the Catch Cup tournament.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following bonuses will be active during the event period:

• Lure Modules will last for three hours.
• Earn an additional Candy from trades.

Featured Attacks
The following Pokémon will learn special moves upon evolution during this event:

• Ivysaur ➔ Venusaur: Frenzy Plant
• Charmeleon ➔ Charizard: Blast Burn
• Wartortle ➔ Blastoise: Hydro Cannon

Timed Research
A free Timed Research opportunity will be available as part of this event. Amongst other rewards, Trainers completing these tasks will receive XP, Stardust, a Lure Module, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.

The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before December 31st, at 8:00pm local time.
