Pokémon GO celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia, and Singapore with the Dancing in the Moonlight event from Oct. 4th

In celebration this year's Mid-Autumn Festival on October 6th, Pokémon GO is holding a special Dancing in the Moonlight event for Trainers in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia, and Singapore. The event will run from Saturday, October 4th, at 10:00am to Wednesday, October 8th, at 8:00pm local time.

Also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrates the harvest during the autumn full moon. One of the most important traditional holidays in Chinese culture, this festival has also inspired a number of other cultural holidays around Asia, including the Japanese Tsukimi (月見 "moon viewing") festival.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following bonuses will be active during the event period:

• Daily Adventure Incense is more likely to attract Clefairy.
• At 1:00pm and 7:00pm each day during the event, Clefairy will appear in large numbers in the wild for five minutes.
  • Shiny Clefairy may also appear during this mass breakout

Timed Research
Free Timed Research opportunities will be available as part of this event. Amongst other rewards, Trainers completing these Timed Research opportunities will receive 4,050 XP, 4,050 Stardust, and encounters with the following event-themed Pokémon:

• Umbreon wearing a moon scarf ⁂
• Teddiursa ⁂
• Lunatone ⁂
• Bunnelby ⁂

The tasks associated with Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before the Timed Research ends.
