Pokemon Gold/Silver Magazine Article (PLEASE HELP)

Hi all,

So I just joined this site today in hopes of finding out if anyone knows what I'm talking about in regards to a magazine article covering the development of Pokemon Gold and Silver back in 1998/1999. Oh and forgive me if this is not the right place to post this; I just thought it would make sense seeing as how all of this relates to the video games. So here's the story: I've been desperately searching for a magazine that I had back in the day which contained a 2-page early preview of Pokemon Gold and Silver. This preview contained images of the time capsule, Pichu as well as buildings I believe. The text was still in Japanese at this point. I'll attach some images to illustrate. The article also mentioned something about trading Pokemon from different generations (Generation I in this case) and perhaps a tower of some sort (trading or battling?). I have been downloading magazine issues like a madman over the years in hopes of finding this article again so if anyone knows or has an idea of what it is, I'd immensely appreciate it. Oh and if its any help, the magazine may have been a UK/British publication.

By themselves, the illustrations are nothing particularly unique - typical Sumigori art.

If the text was in Japanese, was it perhaps from the weekly CoroCoro magazine? Granted, this is pre-2K we are talking about, and Pokemon was just starting to take off.

The entire article (and the rest of the magazine for that matter) was in English. The game text (Battle screen) was in Japanese and the game could have either been just released in Japan at this point in time or may have been close to the release date. This is why I'm thinking its around 1998 at the earliest or 1999 at the latest.

I'm posting a 1-page article from the magazine Computer and Video Games (February 1998 issue # 195) which featured a preview of Pokemon Gold/Silver which is slightly similar in nature to the one

According to the Cutting Room Floor it is page 4 and 5 of 1998 Japanese Gameboy magazine ゲームボーイ from Spaceworld 97 the Japanese Gameboy Article.

I appreciate the input but I already know where I obtained this image (we'll refer to it as in-game tower) online. The tower image itself is part of the 2-page article that I'm looking for in an English/British magazine which also contained the Sumigori artwork posted above. The reference to the 1-page Computer and Video Games article in my last post was an example of how the 2-page mystery article that I'm looking for kind of looked like in terms of the content that was released at that point in time.
